If I live to a hundred there is no way I will recieve what I have paid and what that money would earned in private investments. We as a country rely too much on government. Its our job to support ourselves and our families. There are no doubt times where the govt. could and should help, but there should be stringent regulations. I think that what was to be a saftey net turned out to be percieved as a way of life. That needs to change, people need to prepare for retirement. Our country cannot continue this way. We both know the shape that SS and medicare are in. Now we want socialized health care. If so many are uninsured and cant get med. care why do you hear how much money is lost by treating illegal aliens? There is an answer but throwing money at everything is not the answer. We can and should be able to do better than that.

Second, like most insurances, you are buying protection against calamities that could occur now, not when you retire. Unfortunately, some news divisions did bite. I was over at ABC and found the disturbing headline. Are the journalist on the campaign trail so long that they lose the ability to reason. The fact that so many people jumped to that conclution should be thought of as evidence that the Clinton family scandals are still fresh in everyone's minds. A little hypersensitive.

Gee, I wonder who First Read is pushing for the Democratic nomination?

Michelle says something which is susceptible to the interpretation The Drudge gave it, yet now Obama can claim innocence. Maybe true , maybe not but still cuts too close to the bone.

At the same time, without any real critical review, First Read declares that Clinton says the surge is working, which is far from what she actually said. Clearly her comments were selectively and deliberately taken out of context. She actually said there was limited progress but overall clearly implied a military solution would not work. Pretty much said what Obama and other Dems said, even Edwards.

Then no apology, no retraction, just a muddled clarification, still without a full text explanation of what Clinton actually said. That was the least First Read could have done.

Leave it to the brain dead to only read the headline or limited quotes and gleefully leap at the interpretation that is nearest and dearest to a Hillary Haters heart(less).
