Twice divorced!!!
Oh My God. Where is Kenn-I'm on my 27th bible-O? This isn't may-december, it's February-December. Where's the rant against young wives??? She's smart too, with a masters degree no less. Intimidated?? Maybe she's helping with his run for President? No wait, they are Democrats and according to the left, candidates wives should stay home and do wash or something. Or you would think so if you listen to the hogwash people write about Jeri Thompson.

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

"accumulated $161,000 in debt while battling cancer"

I'm not sure why this is an example of a bad thing. That she is alive and battling? That she has debt? That the debt is $161,000? If she is only that far in debt battling a life ending disease, then she's doing pretty good. What is the total cost? I'm betting it's way, way, more than $161,000. Why do people think this life should be a free ride? A guy with epilepsy complained the other day that his HMO would not grant his half-a-million dollar voluntary surgery to control his siezures, so he could go to work. I sympathize but you got dealt a crappy card. The system should not be obligated to fix you for free. And how about the smokers or 'voluntary' obese? Those people making bad life choice after bad choice, then want the system to fix'em up. Maybe Kenn O's God of vengance has your card???

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

Mark Murray, I've been posting here for awhile. got used to my computer being debugged, whatever. He pretends to sympathize with the woman from Maine who's run up a huge debt because of her cancer. But he doesn't know what empathy is. His attitude is, "too bad, tough luck, glad it didn't happen to me, quit your bitchin', see ya," which just about sums up the Republican attitude regarding all human needs and misfortunes.

He says "A guy with epilepsy complained the other day that his HMO would not grant his half-a-million dollar voluntary surgery to control his siezures, so he could go to work." No hint of where this might be found by someone else, (typical right wing referencing!), but one wonders what we're supposed to make of the fact that it's "voluntary" surgery> All surgeries are voluntary. And the fact that it costs $500,000, whose fault is that? The patient's? I think not. If someone needs a procedure to stop seizures so he can go to work and function normally, that's obviously medically necessary. Why shouldn't insurance pay for it.

As the health care issue heats up, we'll be seeing the health care versions of Reagan's non-existent "welfare queen"--a bunch of fake and misrepresented stories of people supposedly 'abusing' the health care system.

I wonder if RH and his ilk know what "ironic punishment" is. It doesn't take a Dante to think of some appropriate ones for people who prefer to ignore the suffering of their fellow citizens.

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

Kuconich should be around for a long time---regardless of his position in government

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

I am glad you talked about Kuncinich. I am not a supporter but, I did not watch the forum and all I've heard about is just Hillary. It was like she was the only one there according to the news.
Nice to see articles on the others. thanks for the fairness and even handedness.
All the men I know are in love with DK's wife. lol.

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

Bruce - I've never met a Republican willing to give up Medicare - have you? God forbid we'd live long enough to have to pay back all this debt!

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

I'm 62, single and do not need Viagra.
Dennis has given me some ideas!

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

Dennis is far and away the most, honest, articulate, intelligent and sincere candidate seeking the presidency. Barak would make a fine VP.

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

I'm sorry but you Americans really don't like each other do you. How can any society not want the best for it's citizens. To ignore this mess that has been created by your big pharma and the insurance companies is a sin. Bruce, comparing national health care to education, public libraries, roads, and other government projects is an analogy, and no one said you mentioned those issues. In fact, I do believe FloJo brought it up precisely because you did not make that comparison.

I saw Kucinich on George Stephanopolous a few weeks ago, and found him to be lucid, logical, passionate, and totally in keeping with my beliefs and goals for this country. And I also found it incredible that anyone would say he has no charisma, since he was riveting and highly charismatic.

I did, however, notice that his ears are slightly pointed and his face is somewhat elfin. Between his physical characteristics and his logical thinking, I finally figured out why the pundits keep saying he can't win. America is simply not ready for a Vulcan president. (This also explains why he was able to marry a woman so much younger; the longevity of Vulcans is widely known.)

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

He was funny, and he has some good ideas, but he apparently actually believes he has a chance. I was, and Lance was not being rude when he said "this has really deteriorated", the reason for the loud applause after Lance's comment was because frankly Chris and Dennis were taking the conversation down an improper route. Basically Kucinich said because of my diet I'm able to service my wife 31 years younger than me. When you have a 29 year old women behind me saying how grossed out that image was for her, and people present to hear about the candidates plans, ideas about health care and cancer how well he's able to keep up with his beautiful young wife is not appropriate. It wasn't seen as a slam on Kucinich any more than on Matthews who was more than willing to go down that path.

M. Like most people in this country, did not know much about him besides that he has a lovely young wife, (so what is the big deal? the political media is so skin deep!) and that he is the only one who voted against the war from day one (it speaks volumes about this guy's integrity)
I found out that he is the one who introduced legislation to impeach Bush.
When he says that he wants to end the war and bring our troops home in six month, I know he really means it.
He is getting the message from the people: enough is enough with this administration, and this war.
Frankly, any idiot can now, after the fact criticize these guys and the bloody situation. But Dennis does not stop here. He actually has solutions that make sense, that are realistic, and that address our main national issues. We, the people do expect to have a government for the people by the people, not one bought and sponsored by big money corporate interests. We expect to live in a civilized society, with decent paying jobs, assured retirement, universal access to education, and to health care. The Europeans are already doing it (Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Holland, France, etc.). They all rank better than we do in terms of quality of life for their middle-class. We can do it too, and do it better, if we have the right leadership, one that ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THE PEOPLE.
Note to my republican friends: we are not asking for a wellfare state. We want to put an end to corporate wellfare, and replace an administration serving special interests with a government for the people. We are the people, it is our country, it is our work, and our money. We need to make smarter choices about how we spend it: hmmm... war? or education, health care, and social security?
Dennis has spoken on that show, and I found myself agreeing with him on all issues, 100%.
DENNIS KUCINICH... Too bad he does not have a sexy name or a sexy look.
Will America vote for real guy who is smart, articulate, and makes sense?
Last two time I checked, it voted for stupid.
Wake up America, forget the hype, listen to this guy, and you will see that he is real, that he is right, and that his solutions will benefit the people and the country.

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

I understand that Kucinich was in Syria with President Assad last week hosting a fund raiser sponsored by Hamas and Hezbollah.

I wonder how much money he raised.

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

To Bruce who wrote:
"Please, can some one tell me why cancer is a presidential concern? I can almost see the Islamists sharpening their axes at the mere prospect of such a pair entering the White House. They will proclaim the intent to lead us to victory over the “radical” Muslims and the “evil terrorists”, while all-the-while giving handouts to all the “moderate” Muslims who want to find more seats in the U.S. Congress and also be sworn in on a Quran (preferably one owned by a Founding Father) and begin to tell the rest of us how to live under Sharia Law like they do so successfully in places like Saudi Arabia.

Hey, I’m just being honest. In 2006 i spent my whole years income on doctors visits and medication. i have Rheumatoid Arthritis, have hormone replacement pellets(which my insurance pays only for the 40.00 office visit)the cost is over 300.00 a visit.I don't agree with kucinich and i'm tired of hearing what all politicians are going to do for the mexicans and the colored. What about me I work hard for what I make and I am tired of giving it all to the government for them to support somebody elses needs. Get a job and support yourselves that's what the American dream is about. It's not always easy but if i can continue to do it than so can everyone else regardless of your sickness. WE as Americans need to do away with WELFARE and put the PEOPLE back to work. YOU don't WORK, YOU don't EAT, that should be the American way. At the end of the 2006 Year I still had to pay more than my fair share of taxes and I AM TIRED OF IT. Don't like it tough, you can move to another country. I could go on and on about how sorry American people have become waiting on a handout.

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

We've taken GOD out of everything and now we want to know how things got so bad. It's this mentality that proves we have really lost our hearts and compassion in this country and the leaders we have are reflective of the people they "serve". If you ever get down ridden with a life threatening disease - the last thing you need to worry about is leaving your family destitude and struggling to survive your debt created by trying to survive. We have a right to good medical treatment - and it should not be reserved for only those who can afford it. We socialize a lot of things in this country and medicine, unfortunately is not about our health - it's about profit - and if we were to step back for a minute a listen to ourselves - or you listen to yourself, maybe then you would see what you sound like to those of us reading.

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

I find it rather disgraceful that these Senators, Congresspeople and our administration officials find that our tax dollars are good enough to support their health care but not good enough to support the health care of the poorest children in this country.

Not only do they receive health care and the best of the best thanks to America's hard working citizens whose tax dollars fund their health care, their families health care and not just for their time as a civil servant (yeah right) but also for the rest of their life from the moment they step into office until they die - but God forbid they use our tax dollars to provide decent health care for those paying for theirs - instead they use it for paying those inflated invoices submitted by their spouses companies who won no-bid government contracts in a war we shouldn't be fighting; they spend it on bigger office space; their own salary increases; their gold medal hand outs to their elite wealthy collegues and party functions; their travel expenses and new furniture for their offices; legislating important stuff like dedicating post offices and honoring some state sports team - (obviously a bill sponsored by a representative of that state, soon up for re-election) and passing bills that help their own financial endeavors florish. American people need to wake up and smell the dirty rotten rat bastards in Washington - and Dennis Kuccinich happens to be one of the few decent politicians (and trust me their aren't many of them) there are up there on the hill.

The dems and the republicans may have different agendas and different party platforms but NONE of them are meant to benefit us, the American people. They all drink from the same well up there on the hill so neither side of the fence will be pissing in it. Those that are on our side, like Denniss and Ron Paul and Mike Gavel and even Cynthia McKinney (who as you can see, no longer is in a position where she can contaminate their drinking well with the truth) never get the attention or the support they need. Are the American people really that blinded by the propaganda and the thought control the press is mainly responsible or are we just dark souls and missing our hearts and minds? I wonder sometimes.

Kucinich refers to diet, younger wife

Dennis Kucinich got the sense of humor and the intelligence.
