From NBC's Kelly O'DonnellIt's not yet a presidential campaign, but "Friends of Fred Thompson" is again showing signs of internal growing pains. Just last Friday, Linda Rozett was on the job and putting out releases, but today -- as we mentioned earlier

More on Rozett's departure

"Got Milk?"-tv commercial

More on Rozett's departure

GONZO-GATE THE NIGHTMARE WILL NEVER END. It is just that Fred leaves so little to talk about right now that an ant looks like a dog to the media.

It's a campaign. Everyone involved wants to be credited with something to do with creating a President. To be known by the man. Some grow up to be a Rove. Nothing is much better for the Bill Lacy's of the world than to bring in the winning horse.

However the Turks who do the websites and the Rozetts and Collamores are connected in a way that makes Linda part of the old thinking.

It is the fiercest of small internal politics. You are working for money however the thing that keeps you awake at night is who likes who and who said what and did Fred see yu and the buzz about Jeri, etc.

All Fred can do is hire his Rove and hope the decision was exceptional. It would be wonderful if all his critics could do one half of what Fred has done. He gets up one morning and tosses a rock in the pond and makes world class waves. I would like to see half of Congress do as well.

To bad there are so many that only see the shortcomings. To be a critic is to say "I could do better" You couldn't.
Don Jones
MyManFred.com
More on Rozett's departure

M. Sooner, or later, doesn't matter; if he has fresh ideas, let's see them. Otherwise all these articles about the inside-baseball aspect is just mental masturbation.

More on Rozett's departure

Who will rescue the GOP? It is a safe bet that pundits will try to confuse his intentions with mundane, debatable questions about gay rights, abortion etc. If Fred is smart he will reply with the fact that these subjects are only answered on a case by case level. The general public is almost evenly divided on these subjects and any direct reply will automatically polarize the publuc and work against him. I stress that he take a long pause before abswering any direct questions. Use the personaity he has developed on TV to advantage. He should answer all questions with a smile of confidence (Re: Clinton) and speak slowly and cautiously. There is nothing wrong with having a College Professor attitude toward the job of President.
