Then I expect Limbaugh is delirious with rage to have lived through the past six years seeing it linked to a passel of crooks, liars, morons and Republican douche bags. That could be why he became addicted to pain killers and other treats involving artificial body chemistry. Yum, huh Limbaugh? How about Halliburton skipping off with 2.8 billion dollars belonging to the tax payers? Too bad Bush and Cheney were looking the other way when this happened, huh Limbaugh. I bet they would have been aghast. Would you really be pissed to see the presidency linked to the Rush Limbaugh show. I mean, what's worse than pop culture? How about a fruit spreading propaganda to the great unwashed and miseducated so they will vote for Bush. Riddle me this, Limbaugh: Money runs uphill. After all, look at how much attention he's giving the election, not to mention himself. You know, that is the point of running...to get votes, and be noticed. Bush has done far more damage to the office than any appearance on late night TV ever could have done. Even Clinton to a degree did the same. Roosevelt, Reagan supported the New Deal as well as the presidential candidacies of Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1952 and 1956, and that of Richard Nixon in 1960, as a registered Democrat. His political loyalties soon shifted to the Republican Party, however, for he thought that the Democrats had repudiated Thomas Jefferson's beliefs and created a larger government.[31] Following the election of John F. Kennedy, Reagan formally switched parties in 1962, saying "I didn't leave the Democratic Party. The party left me."[32] During his work for General Electric, Reagan wrote his own speeches, laboring diligently and daily upon his prose. Although he had speechwriters later in the White House, he continued editing, and even occasionally writing, many of them.[33]

Two years after switching parties, Reagan joined the campaign of conservative Presidential contender Barry Goldwater. Speaking on Goldwater's behalf, Reagan revealed his ideological motivation in a famed speech given on October 27, 1964: "The Founding Fathers knew a government can't control the economy without controlling people. And they knew when a government set out to do that, it must use force and coercion to achieve its purpose. So we have come to a time for choosing."[34] The address soon became known as the "Time for Choosing" speech, and is considered the speech that launched Reagan's political career.[35]

California Republicans were impressed with Reagan's political views and charisma after his "Time for Choosing" speech,[36] and nominated him for Governor of California in 1966. In Reagan's campaign, he emphasized two main themes: "to send the welfare bums back to work", and in reference to burgeoning anti-war and anti-establishment student protests at the University of California at Berkeley, "to clean up the mess at Berkeley".

I'm sure you'll disagree, but this does not describe a political opportunist to me.
Limbaugh not a fan of Fred's Leno stop

Actually, Thompson's exposure on the Rush Limbaugh show would probably be just as great as going on Leno. Audience size is similar.

Limbaugh not a fan of Fred's Leno stop

So much hatred expressed here. It seems most of it comes from liberals. I am not an extreme conservative, but all I hear is democrats complaining and blaming conservatives for everything that goes on the world, but not offering any solutions. In my opinion, William Jefferson Clinton (who BTW played his sax on Leno) degraded the OVAL OFFICE, not on his own time, but on taxpayers' time, more than anyone. I really think Hillary knew about his many affairs at LEAST as far back as his Governor days, and was willing to overlook them as long as he didn't get caught. If she really didn't know, do we need someone that dumb as our next president?

Limbaugh not a fan of Fred's Leno stop

Rush is just a conservative....his brain is mush!

Neoconservatism is the way!
