I've crossed the Huck off my list of possible POTUS. He says we have to stay in Iraq & finish the job to preserve our honor. Flawed thinking, just like dubya. What was the REAL "Job"? To screw the Iraqis out of their oil, destabilize the region for the neo-con agenda. Finishing this job is honorable? The only Repub that has his head on straight is Ron Paul, & there's no way they tap him for the nomination..

Seriously is Huckabee saying we are all responsible for Iraq? I have opposed the Iraq war from the start just like many others I know. If Huckabee thinks he can win votes by blaming the American people for "breaking" Iraq he is retarded. Ron Paul was right, George Bush and a few people he took his marching orders from were responsible for Iraq not the American people. Stop blaming America Huckabee.

I think Huckabee is a wonderful candidate, and exactly what this country needs. Once they start discussing issues other than Iraq and immigration, and start focusing on other issues that affect Americans everyday: education, healthcare, jobs, etc...Huckabee will really shine. He's clearly the most polished speaker, doesn't have the money for expensive consultants to script answers for him, and he's the only candidate (in either party) that's not a millionaire. Couple that with the fact that he's never worked in DC as a politician or a lobbyist, and he's even more attractive. I think he's the only one with real solutions for the common American.

Once again First Read is asleep at the wheel, calling Huckabee the 'crossover' candidate. I have a normal job, and even I know that Paul is by far the 'crossover' candidate. He receives the support of Democrats and Independents, on top of actual conservative Republicans. Just do a poll of how many Paul supporters used to consider themselves Independent or Democrats, vs Huckabee or any other candidate's supporters, and Paul's support will be by far the most mixed.

Ron Paul is strong in his convictions, but his anti-war stance is his only crossover appeal. He wants to drastically reduce taxes and the size of government, eliminating many government programs. He also wants to overturn Roe vs. Wade, keep the government out of "separation of church and state", etc. Those aren't ideas that are appealing to most democrats. Huckabee is clearly the only candidate in either party with crossover appeal. He's been endorsed by the Machinists Union (first GOP candidate ever), and he's also the only GOP candidate being supported by the NEA and other unions. Paul crosses over on one issue...Huckabee crosses over on many issues.

It is so easy to talk about Iraq as a "failed policy" from the comfort of your living room in the United States. I don't see no one talking about Congressman Tom Tancredo. I mean the guy has the most consistent and most conservative record among all the clowns running for republican nomination. Tancredo is a true conservative and it pains me when conservatives abondon their true friends and endorse disguised liberals like Guliani, Romney and Huckbee who recently rediscovered themselves as conservatives. Liberals aside I strongly feel that we conservatives have to stick together to fight liberal democrats agenda of gay marriage, islamo facism and mexican invasion.

I was in that focus group with Luntz and it was a scam. No way did McCain win anything. He just sounded a bit less nutcase than he has in the past. None of my comments were aired. It was fixed....McCain is NO REPUBLICAN..
