Are the Republicans saying they are anti-latino or anti-black? I can agree with the anti-liberal YearlyKos snub, but come on!

The Democrats chose not to participate in the Fox sponsored debates, primarily because they viewed Fox as being anti-liberal. Again, seems to follow the same logic train as Republicans not going to YearlyKos. I can understand (if not support) the idea of participating in events that are clearly anti-liberal (if you are conservative) or anti-conservative (if you are a liberal) however I can't find any decent justification for ducking out of debates sponsored by the two largest minority groups in the country, except to say that perhaps the Republicans are anti-minority?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think Newt is right. The Republicans are increasingly marginalizing themselves and seems like they are actively pushing away potential voters in order to cater and maintain an ever disallusioned base. As a Democrat I am very happy because it makes the upcoming elections easier, but as an American I am troubled because our system in it's current form depends on two strong parties representing the entire spectrum of the American citizenry, and their values. As I heard someone once say, the President of the United States is the leader of all the American people, not just the ones that voted for him. I hope one day the Republicans remember that minorities and poor people are Americans too.

Oh-eight (R): The Everglades battle

Newt should put up or shut up.
