Clinton's Health Care plan is aimed at those who do not have insurance and could not have it because they cannot afford it. What makes her think they will be able to afford if she is elected? And, if it is mandatory what happens if you don't have it, do you go to jail? Those who are not insured are those in their 20's. Those who are older have medicare, those who don't have it now are either unable to -financially or are on welfare, or are dependants of the system in some form. Those who are middle age work for companies who pay most of their insurance to begin with. She is attempting to gain control the sneaky way, as she has always done, and has always failed, because we are not fools, we don't want the governament raising our taxes or having any more control than they already do. She is nothing more than an empty headed cheerleader from the sticks who without her coat-tail would not be here and still fails NY as well. No experiance can come in many styles and forms.

When will people realize that "HILLARY'S NEGATIVES" are not the issue!!!

The problem for her is her POLARIZATION, which is not reflected in the unfavorables, all of the time.

When 40-50%, ALWAYS SAY, that they will not vote for Hillary Clinton under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER, that is the problem with her candidates.

Unfavorability ratings come and go.

ESTABLISHED HATRED of a candidate is not going to change.

If Hillary gets the Democratic Nomination, the Democrats can forget about Congress. The Senate and the House are as good as gone. This in a year where around 22 Republican Senate seats are up for grabs.

With John Edwards, the Democrats would have a much better chance of winning Senate seats in places like Kentucky, and picking up a filibuster proof Senate, which, next to the White House, is the single greatest barrier to undoing all of the crap that the Bush years have brought us.

John Edwards does better against the Republican field in the Gallup, Newsweek, and Rasmussen polls than Hillary Clinton or Obama do. John Edwards could win big.

Hillary Clinton might squeak out a victory, but at what cost?

THE ONLY REASON she is running is to become the "First Woman President," that's it. House and Senate Democrats be dam*ed.

As far as Elizabeth Edwards' comments. Hillary Clinton's plan is not John Edwards' plan. John Edwards' plan could EVOLVE into a single payer system if more Americans choose for the Medicare-Plus government plan. Hillary Clinton's plan does not have the potential to evolve into that. If the Edwardses were smart, that's what they would be telling primary voters, along with the fact that Hillary Clinton waited until he and Obama released their plans, probably just so that she could put out something comparable, so that she wasn't "outflanked" on the issue. John Nichols calls Hillary Clinton's plan a joke, another boondoggle for the insurance companies. He didn't say the same about the Edwards plan, if I remember correctly. Maybe the Edwardses should focus on the differences, because that's what intelligent people are doing.

But I understand their rationale. The media is acting like Hillary Clinton is the only candidate who has addressed universal health care, based on the ALL OUT coverage of her plan on CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, and MSNBC. John Edwards released his plan 7 months ago. It got some ONLINE COVERAGE. It didn't get shoved down the people's throats on the television set, where most people get their information, like Hillary Clinton's was.

What a clever form of propaganda, from the media.

Hillary Clinton thinks health care is a priority, pay no attention to the fact that she released a plan that's similar to the others just because it's similar. What else would a "frontrunner" who is running off of last name alone, do? As long as she's not outflanked on the issues, she feels like her name is enough to win, so she keeps the name, and adopts positions similar to her opponents.

Too bad this type of analysis is never done on the evening news. Just more and more Clinton PUSHING.

Sen. Obama was out in front of the Jena 6 issue weeks before Hillary voiced her "concern." He talked about it time and time again on the campaign trail. I think that Obama will do better for the Democrats as the nominee, than Edwards would. I think Edward lacks the campaign skill to defeat any of the Republican challengers. Edwards could only win a race against Guillani, while Guillani could only win a race against Clinton. (By the way Clinton couldn't win against either Republican candidate).

Obama, on the other hand, could beat any one of the Republican challengers, and he is the only one who could defeat Fred Thompson or Mike Huckabee, one of whom will win the Republican nomination.

I do agree, though, that if Hillary gets the nomination the Democrats can kiss both houses of Congress goodbye. And she will lose the Presidency. The Democrats will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, and it could very well break the party.

I'm not certain why everyone feels the need to bash Mrs. Clinton. She is, in fact, the strongest, tested, and experienced candidate. The polls indicate she is #1 or #2 in every state. I'm a proud Illinois resident. I'm embarrassed of Barack Obama constantly stating that he did not support the war in Iraq. First, he was not an U.S. Senator at the time to even vote. Second, since taking office in 2005, he has missed over 80+ votes - 24% of the time. So, I ask, how can we trust the U.S. Senator to claim he wouldn't have voted for the Iraq war - when he probably would have missed the vote anyway. Third, I, and many others, will not be swayed by support of Oprah Winfrey. While she may be able to sell books - she cannot dictate who the American people vote for...it is tranparent at best! Gove Insurance palns, where the govt pays for normally 75% of the premium, and candidates pay 25%,
sure they can make it where anybody can buy it, but of course is the govt going to pay your 75%, I don't think so, the premiums will run 800 - 1200 a month for a family of 4. And don't forget, Hillary has received more Health Care campaign funds than anybody else, and you believe Hillary when she says, It doesn't matter that I take their donations, I have fought for universal health care for a long time,
well the NEW UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE FOR AMERICA was written by the insurance companies, so who do you think will come out ahead,,,americans or the insurance companys. Before you start bashing me, take a little time and do a little research on the net, you will see the only thing Hillary Care does , is make the insurance companies richer, lowers the standard of health care, makes it mandatory, a law to buy insurance, just like paying taxes, which will increase, and you get no refund check anymore.
