It may not have been a cheap shot, but it really wasn't the best question you could have asked about immigration. Why not ask them what the problem is at the border and how they plan to address it? Seems like a more important question than some inside-baseball legal semantics between state and federal govt's.

Chill Chuck! Bill has a great sense of humor - I think he was diffusing the racist undertone. Why not ask him the question? To me it is logical to ask him since he has the experience as governor of a border state.
