Now the GOP in many states has apparently taken to shutting down the possibility that Independents or Democrats can vote for Ron Paul in the GOP primary.

Such contests, inviting a broad electoral spectrum, have taken place in the past without controversy or interference.

Why now? Yet a point was recently made that at this stage in the election cycle, national polls reflect only name recognition, not respondents’ assessments of the candidates. Consider the past:

- In early 1975, Jimmy Carter was polling at 1% (he went on to win the presidency).
- In early 1987, Michael Dukakis was polling at 1% (he went on to win the Democratic nomination).
- In early 1991, Bill Clinton was at 2% (he went on to win the presidency).
- In the spring of 1999, John McCain was polling at 3% (he went on to win the New Hampshire primary).
- In early 2003, Joe Lieberman was leading the field for the Democratic presidential nomination (he failed to win any primary).

As of September 2007
- Ron Paul has more financial support from the Military than *ANY* other candidate. (Our troops hate Iraq and want to come home, Ron is the only one that can do that)
- According to the polls, Ron Paul has won almost every Republican Debate (Including the Fox debate)
- Ron Paul is by far the most popular candidate on the Internet.

The Media and the GOP are SUPRESSING THE TRUTH which is easy to see on: Youtube, Facebook, Google, Google news, Meetup, Reddit, MySpace, Digg you name it, Web 2.0 says Ron Paul is #1.

DON'T BE AN MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX AND RUPERT MURDOCH ROBOT, GET OUT THERE ARE GET BEHIND THE ONLY POPULIST LIBERTARIAN CONSTITUTIONALIST CANDIDATE, RON PAUL. His campaign money ONLY comes from THE PEOPLE, not Hillary's wihch comes from huge insurance and medical oligarchs and lobbyists, and the Authoritarian Statist non-Constitutionalist Rudy, Mitt, Fred, etc, this comes from the military industrial complex.

Stop being a pawn, and lash out against the oppressive media-military-industrial-government regime!

They use polling to disenfranchise voters, American want a football game and they want to pick a winner. Carter and Clinton prove the people can make this media coup ineffective!

The reason that Ron Paul is running under GOP is 3rd parties in the country get screwed at the ballot box, I voted libertarian in California and had to vote in Spanish because the poll officials had no libertarian ballots in ENGLISH!

Ron Paul is a constitutionalist.
Ron has never voted to raise taxes.
Ron has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
Ron has never voted for the Iraq War.
Ron has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
Ron has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
Ron has never voted to raise congressional pay.
Ron has never taken a government-paid junket.
Ron voted against the Patriot Act.
Ron votes against regulating the Internet.
Ron voted against NAFTA and CAFTA.
Ron votes against the United Nations.
Ron votes against the welfare state.
Ron votes against reinstating a military draft.
GO Ron Paul GO!!!

Ron Paul raises $5 million!

Mr IntheMiddle sounds suspiciously like everyone's favorite Paul hater, Eric Dondero.

If you aren't Dondero, go find him. The two of you can beat up straw men together.

Ron Paul raises $5 million!

Paul / Obama 08

I don't think Paul will be picking a CFR nuthugger as his running mate.

Ron Paul raises $5 million!

This is only

the beginning
Ron Paul raises $5 million!

GREAT NEWS,I look forward to hearing about RON PAUL on a daily basis on MSNBC:) Me and my wife and our 19 yr daughter plan on voting for RON PAUL:) Im a former democrat and now registered republican to vote for RON PAUL only.My wife and daughter are also voting for RON PAUL..Colorado is FOR RON PAUL2008.COM

Ron Paul raises $5 million!

Ron Paul supporters must be smarter than all other supporters. They find ways to hack all internet polls.

Give me a break.

Ron Paul is the most popular candidate when it comes to online users.

Ron Paul raises $5 million!

This $5 million is just spam-- Right guys? :)

Every neo-con, who-- by the non-virtue of being a neo-con automatically hate peace and freedom-- has been saying Ron Paul's people are spammers and he has no real support. You people all over the country and not from Texas in his area doesnt know jack about Paul. All you know is he seems to be someone who is against his own party"

First, concerning Dr. Paul's running on the Republican ticket ... when our elections are "sewn-up" in a "two-party system" of course a third party has to expect a miracle to get elected.

But more importantly, Ron Paul represents core republican beliefs - low taxes and SMALL government - something the "republicans" have completely abandoned.

I am a registered as a republican voter, so the argument quoted above that it "blows my dress" to support him because he "stands against his own party" is wrong.

Ron Paul has spent his congressional career protecting The U.S. Constitution. Is that "anti-republican" ? Why yes it is! And, protecting The U.S. Constitution is also "anti-democrat" 'because' protecting The U.S. Constitution is PRO-the people! which neither the reps or the dems are. If they were, we wouldn't be having the "issues" we have facing us today - from the environment to worthless paper money that is backed by nothing. Every wonder "why" our money is not longer backed by gold or silver? This little video will explain it in a nutshell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWKlz2Z4Nlo ... for the full explanation you can watch this one (please do!): http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5522575736561316064&hl

Americans supporting Dr. Ron Paul are supporting him because they actually know what our Constitution allows the feds to do and what it doesn't at the same time they've suffered the feds doing what they are not even allowed to do so says the "law of the land."

Americans support Dr. Ron Paul because they are patriots, because they know what our founding fathers and those after them fought and died for to create - a REPUBLIC (this isn't The One State of America) it matters to them that the republicans and democrats alike have sold our freedom and our labor to big business, they care about their country, they actually believe in The U.S. Constitution and "know" the only way to save our Republic from becoming 'completely' fascist is to OBEY THE CONSTITUTION - which is what Dr. Ron Paul actually does with every vote he's ever cast.

Those are the reasons Ron Paul supporters support him.

If more American voters actually knew what the Constitution allows and does not, they would also know that the $927 billion in income taxes (taxes on our "labor") collected by the illegal and unconstitutional IRS in 2005 was "illegal and unconstitutional" (read the 16th Amendment) - and they'd be standing beside all other Ron Paul supporters demanding the restoration of our Republic instead of repeating the dumb-them-down mantra coined by the feds "we're a democracy" - we are not a democracy of "mob rule," our founding fathers wrote the Constitution to 'prevent' a 'democracy'

Do you know where all the gold that used to be in Ft. Social Security and Medicare.

Has your hero guaranteed that he as president will not go after the elimination of said federally subsidized benefits?? Apparently no one has dared ask him the question because they're so enamored with his outspoken plan to exit Iraq ---- good idea by the way. Yes, Bush is an abomination and who's disputing that?? I've opposed the Iraq invasion since the weapons inspectors left with no WMD evidence. Many of us knew it was a fallacious gambit even then, and maybe you were among that number.

Anyway, it is hoped that you can spew forth some truth regarding Mr. Paul and his stand regarding the above benefits question - surely you know that anyone proposing (out loud) to eliminate or dramatically scale back these benefits is dead meat...period.

Of course the republicans have had it on their agenda for years, but dare not utter a word, and especially now when they're in such a monumental crisis state....Ron Paul ain't got nothin' and in your heart of hearts you know it. Also, he hasn't got a snowball's chance in hell - that will most likely be Guiliani's ticket to ride.

I'm not crazy about Hillary but then I'm not crazy about anybody in the show.....I will take a democrat over a republican however, and that's the way it will come down - I will say that any vote for Ron Paul (if he actually becomes a valid write-in candidate) will help ensure a Hillary victory, should she be the dem candidate - very much the same way that Ralph Nader helped defeat Al Gore.
Ron Paul raises $5 million!

Rick, WS. And the big 3 networks wonder why watchers are flocking to other news sources and the internet for their news and information? NBC News and Bryan Wilson lost at least fourteen dedicated viewers last night. I can only speak for my family and circle of friends that were regular NBC viewers.

All of these anti-Ron Paul news sites and providers are going to find that, people with any sense are going to at least wonder why he is being given this treatment and do a little research on RP. It is what drove me to do some checking on the guy and that's what eventually caused me to join in with Ron Paul and his campaign. Now I am a fervent supporter! I have been voting since 1976 and this is the first time I have ever gotten this fired up over a candidate or actually GIVEN MONEY TO A CAMPAIGN!

More blatant MSM (main stream media) disregard for this fast rising TRUE Republican!

His $5+ million campaign contributions announcement yesterday pushes him to at least into the top 4 and gurantees he's in this campaign for the long haul! This news was reported by many of the major news outlets, but NOT NBC. The talking head lady yesterday (Nora something?) that broke the news on MSNBC called Ron Paul a Gadfly and an Isolationist? WTF? It's extremely clear to me that NBC and MSNBC have their own agenda's and are not compelled to report in a fair and truthful way.

My thought are this- The MSM wants their Liberal Democrat in office, no doubt about that. Hillary is almost a shoe in for the Dems nomination. ANY other Republican would not have a snowballs chance against Hillary, EXCEPT Ron Paul. When folks start hearing what Dr. Paul's core beliefs and political message are and what his past Congressional voting record is, there is sure to be a surge in his support!

The American people are fed up, sick and tired of being lied to and railroaded by the corporate media, big business and the self-serving politicians that "service" this country!

RP is not the right wing wacko that I once thought he was and what the smear campaigns and political pundits would have you and I believe, FAR FROM IT! Think for yourselves folks, it's more important now than ever!

Dr. Ron Paul has cured my bad case of voter APATHY that I've had for the last 30 YEARS. FINALLY, a candidate that I can vote FOR instead of voting for the lesser of two evils!

Check out www DailyPaul com

Thanks for reading my long winded post.

Mike,
50 y/o.
Fort Wayne, IN
Business Owner
US Army Veteran
Concerned American Citizen

Ron Paul raises $5 million!

GOP voters want someone who’s not like Bush

In the NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll out 10/3/07, about half of all Republicans (48 percent) want a candidate who takes a “different approach” from that of the current president.

How about Ron Paul?

Ron Paul raises $5 million!

Politics and what the government doesn’t want you to know
See for your self www.truthattack.org www.givemeliberty.org
www.wearechange.org our government is lying to us wake up
American and take back our country
Ron Paul raises $5 million!
GO RON PAUL!!!!!!!!!! Reserve notes are worthless. Lets take our country back from the bank of England and the loyalist that have had their foot on our neck since 1914 when the sheeple gave them our gold.
I have never voted Republican because I have never seen a real Republican until now. WOW! A real republican I thought they were extinct. I am a humanist so Ron Pauls message of true liberty and peace means so much to me.
