Hey genius, it's not being "leaked", it's simply common knowledge to folks who don't get their news from NBC and the rest of the MSM. These thwarted attacks are common knowledge to anyone who's actually paying attention.

That said, Montanaro, why couldn't you have asked Rudy's camp and reported in this manner in the first place, rather than act as if he exaggerated and pretending he wasn't clarifying what these 23 plots were.

In the other thread I listed a few off the top of my head, and my assumption was right about Rudy's reply... while most of the attacks that were thwarted were here, but others originating in the UK, Germany and across Europe were still targeting Americans. But I find it strange that your previous post meant to imply that Rudy was being dishonest (simply because you are unaware of what's going on in the world)...

Now you report, after someone actually asked, what Rudy was talking about, and still act like he is being dishonest. This post is clearly intended to say "Rudy had to include foreign plots to boost the number", because you're ignoring the targets of those attacks. As we know, attacks on Americans needn't be on our own soil. (i.e. the numerous attacks during the Clinton administration, which went unanswered by the way).

What nation was it that attacked all those places we shouldn't be again..? also does this include things like the VA tech shooter.. was he a "terrorist"?

I'm surprised the numbers are so low when the FBI has *only* done 140,000 warrantless searches in the US. I wonder how many of those are on civilians who are not "terrorists".

My friends with 'connections' say that it is in the hundreds but that it is all very classified so the enemy won't know our sources and methods. Some of the more right-wing persuasion say that just by invading Afghanistan and Iraq we have prevented thousands. My comment was aimed at reports that the White House has officially de-classified only about a dozen of the foiled plots. It was also a tweak on the habit of the White House to label every report on their wrongdoing a leak of classified information. I also find the number 23 hilariously precise for something so vaguely defined and open to interpretation and nuance ;)

I seriously doubt that Rudy has the slightest idea what he's talking about. Just like Bush. Remember that plan to sabotage an airport in NYC by planting bombs along the pipes leading from the fuel pumping stations? The plan that had absolutely no chance whatsoever of succeeding, and would, at worst, cause only a rupture in a fuel line resulting in jet fuel being dumped in New Jersey? Or how about the idiots with their car bombs in England, also that had no chance of success and were doing nothing but smoldering when the police found them? I'm sure both of those are listed on St. Rudy of 9/11's list.

And yes, we did prevent more attacks by invading Afghanistan. And then we encouraged them by invading Iraq, allowing Afghanistan to decay again, and allowing bin Laden to continue to survive and spew his venom.

On a side note (since we're talking about spewing venom), has anyone noticed that Coultergeist's new book title is the same insulting, childish rant that she accused Democrats of in her second book? Just a thought.
