First allow me to say that the current administration is likely the most reprehensible in the memory of most people. The front runners for the Republican nomination seem to want to offer more of the same. However, before we all jump to support one of the leading Democratic nominees, let's first see if they are talking a different game. Have any of them said they will end the debacle in Iraq? No. Have any of them said they will repeal the threats to our civil liberties know as the Patriot Act? No. (In fact Obama and Clinton voted for it.) Have any of them promised to curb the runaway spending that is causing our dollar to lose ground against all other foreign currencies? No. In fact they propose to increase spending. So, why the hell just follow them because they are different. Why not support someone who is actually talking a different game. So far the only person I've seen do that is Ron Paul.

The problem with the Republicans in the Congress and the canidates is that they have voted as a rubber stamp for Bush for years and have allowed and ignored the historical mess that is Iraq, record budget deficits that equal all 42 previous administrations combined. The Republicans have been hijacked by the neocons(former Scoop Jackson's proteges) like Wolforwitz who insisted on dramatically altering the Middle East by removing the dictator Sadam who by the way was our dictator in the 80's when Rummy and Cheney were shaking his hands and giving him all WMD'S to fight Iran inorder to assist with what the powerful Israel lobby and Lakud party wanted. Add to that the evil machievellian Karl Rove The Shrub's brain who basically stated to kowtow only to your religious fanatical base and 911 fear statics that gave them the win 2004. The Republicans I believe have surrendered their so-called fiscal conservative mantel and strong on defense because they have become the party of WIN AT ALL COST. Only a few like Hagel had the guts to speak out. Hopefully, more will stop shinning the shoes of THE DECIDER.

So, the religious radical extremists, too have a price. They will vote for a man who thinks a woman should have a right to choose, a man who thinks marriage is between two people, whether they be heterosexual or homosexual, and not subject to legislation, a man who believes stem cell research is a positive area of research not to be denied - all these things and more are acceptable to these folks who claim to carry the Moral High Ground - they will accept anything from their candidate if he can just beat Hillary Clinton! Morals be damned. Beat Hillary. Their hypocrisy knows no limits. They, too, are the ones so anxious to bomb anyone who does not agree with them, e.g., Iran, and before them, Iraq! Unbelievable how so many of the American people do not search for facts and simply swallow the garbage (Iraq was behind 9/11, they had WMD, and on and on) this administartion puts out. They believe Bush when he piously vowed he would be a uniter and not a divider. I don't know of any President in our history who has been so DELIBERATELY divisive. He thumbs his nose at the Congress, the Constitution, and ultimately the American people.

In return for their largesse,the Tinseltown billionares are steered millions in taxpayer dough by Murtha for ''yoga,crystal and magnet homeopathic research'',with the so-called ''PMA Junta''casting affirmative votes for the funding of such BS.
Not wanting to be left out in the cold, Sylvestre Reyes[D-NM],who will be recalled as the Chairman of the House ''Intelligence''Committee who cannot tell Shia from Sunni,places his son on a fundraising PAC which lo and behold,is tied to PMA. Reyes is now watching the dough flow in.
ROLL CALL has been in contact with federal investigators who are ''preparing an extensive investigation of these activities and are seeking criminal fraud and corruption indictments''.
Thus do the Democrats erect Potemkin villages for the insult of our intelligence. The ''swamp''that was ''drained''by Pelosi is now the Atlantic Ocean. The idea that ''greed'' and ''money'' and the influence of the ''corporate'' are the sole provinces of the GOP has been exposed as a sham and a lie. This country would greatly benefit from a viable third political party. The bipartisan bickering is undermining progress (political and otherwise) in this country. Although I think Ron Paul is way off track and do not agree with virtually every position he holds (sorry Paulites), I do think his anti-establishment sentiments need to be voiced. I find it difficult to believe that all of county's ideas and values can be boiled down to the platforms of our two major political parties.
