Meanwhile he did nothing for the middle class people of Tennessee. But, he did fight for the tax breaks for the wealthy, who represent about one tenth of one per cent of the population and about two tenths of one per cent of the republicans. So, the other 99.8 per cent of republicans are basically dupes.

But, these fools like him because he is an actor like Reagan. And, like Reagan he likes to take long afternoon naps. Also, like Reagan he is showing signs of mental deterioration. But, unlike Reagan, if he gets the nomination, he hasn't got a prayer of winning in the general election. People aren't fooled anymore. I lived in Tennessee when Thompson supposedly represented the people of the state. Never saw him or heard anything positive about him. He is just another actor politician, paid to speak for the highest bidder.

The only real conservative in the race is Ron Paul, but he doesn't interest the media, so we don't hear too much about him. The media has already declared Guiliani and Thompson their darlings along with Clinton and Obama. Apparently, having more than two candidates vying for their party's nomination is too much trouble!!!

Seriously, "liberals" are progressive. That means we look forward, trying to fix things that need it. Conservatives look back. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Reasonable enough... except they also cling to things that are working even though we've shown they can work *better*.

Fix things--don't just do things 'cause that's how they've always been done. Vote for a liberal. Remember how the conservatives hated Clinton for his liberal policy of raising taxes on the rich? Guess what. Most of them made an absolute KILLING, because when the common folk have more to spend, everyone profits, even the rich. When the rich have more money to spend, the rich benefit.

That's how liberals work. Everyone benefits. Conservatives just want things to remain the same so they don't have to find new ways to exploit the system they know so well.

It doesn't take a lot of brains to see people enraged by knowing their tax dollars might go to help someone get in from the cold, while millions are being spent on war, leaving more out of a home.

My Mother died with breast cancer. My mother worked hard with my Dad. They were cabinet-makers. My parents Always had time, or would make the time, would go far out of their way, to help anyone in need. Whatever it was, if it was within their means. If it was outside of their means, they'd find someone who could help. They put cabinets in homes for free, for people who needed them. My mother died with breast cancer because my parents were over-worked and under-insured. She lived with it for ten years without telling my Dad, so he wouldn't worry about not having enough insurance. When my Dad found out, within a month he was dead--died of a massive heart attack. They had done Everything together for over twenty years. My Dad couldn't bear life without my Mother.

My parents worked hard. They paid their taxes. They paid to have help when they might need help. The cost of living far exceeded the amount finally received, for all they'd paid in for so many years.

Be very careful Mr.Gomez. You are skating on very thin ice tempting fate the way you do. We may never see you with a ladel in a soup-line, but you may come in on the other end of it. You may eat your hateful words.
