The way Fox ran this debate reminds me of the way Bill O'Reilly runs his show: it is orchestrated to mainpulate public opinion, not to inform.

Any news organization that has to repeatedly proclaim it is fair and balanced probably isn't. Fox News is at the bottom of the barrel of credibility.

I really think people don't understand that our government can't keep printing money to give us stuff---even possibly very good things like getting rid of Saddam or health care. We're borrowing from China to do these 'good things' and that is a very short-sighted, stupid plan. Ron Paul is not anti-war, he's just against undeclared (illegal) wars that we can't afford. We need to first take care of our monetary policy and have sound money, then we can do stuff.

I think That a lot of poor city kids really ought to go to Ivy league schools. People and banks should just loan me money to send them. They deserve a chance. It is the Right Thing to do. Somehow, eventually I'll pay the money back. I'll bet I wouldn't have lots of offers for cash---probably lots of questions about my financial solvency and job status! But this is what we're asking our government to do---just borrow more money to 'do stuff'.

The real question is whether another Vietnam in Iraq and maybe Iran along with all the myriad of other international engagements we're involved with, is worth the destruction of our currency and with it our poor and middle classes. There is a reason that gold is now over $700---it is called the dollar is toast. So, as we pay higher and higher prices even though we're not making more money--We can take comfort in the fact that we're giving "them" hell! Way to go, America! We'll show them! At the last Fox news debate, Ron Paul was giggled at by Guiliani everytime his name was mentioned. At the last Fox News debate, Ron Paul had just finished his statement and people were cheering and clapping enthusiatically, then suddenly it turned into a thunder of boos. What happened, we thought! Well, thanks to a person in the audience with a cell phone camera recording, we find out they put Guiliani up on the big screen.

Now this. What am I to believe? It is the FIRST time Ron Paul has been genuinely booed at a debate. The volume was much louder, the applause seemed supressed. My feeling is that they placed microphones at strategic locations in the audience, and cut into microphones with the reaction they wanted. In fact, there is one point where the cheering was LOUD, then just kind of cut out to booing.

Finally, MSNBC can barely be bothered to write about Ron Paul until this? When we get Ron Paul elected, the free market is going to be VERY VERY hard on you.

I just finished watching the debate and I realized how sad the situation is. The Republican's number one goal seems to be defeating Hillary. They think that Rudy has the best chance. Has anybody else noticed that many of the questions and positions of the candidates have changed to include positions espoused by Dr. Paul? Since the first GOP debate and RP brought up the issues of Constitutionality and run-away foreign policy; these issues would not be raised by the GOP. RP is right. The Party has turned Left.

You have to admire the character and integrity of Mr. Paul. He knows these (RNC) are hostile to his ideas of limiting their influence and power. The DNC is no different and both are lap dogs to the FEC who limits the debates to the two parties.

What is interesting is how the MSM seems to play along to try and limit the candidates on the stage by limiting information in a deliberate blackout. A recent straw poll had Mitt win by an excess of internet votes compared to event goers, most of whom voted for Huckabee by a large margin and who came in second place in the straw poll. Ron Paul came in a respectable 3rd and not once was that mentioned on FOX or CNN. There were no accusations of "stacking the deck" against Mitt like they do with RP. Hannity just accused RP of stacking the deck because RP is winning the FOX debate to night. (That really gets his panties in a twist.)

Stay strong Dr. Paul. You are making a huge difference just by being there and giving a sound voice of reason to the call to continue war. You have convinced me, a veteran, who not until a few months ago was a marginal supporter of the war because of the danger from Islam. The danger is real but not quite like most think. Regardless, a wise strategy is to bring the troops home now. Rebuild and strengthen our nation, borders, and liberties.

To the guy who called him 'certifyable', If having the balls to stand up and tell your party that they are going in the wrong direction, to stand there and let the boos roll off like water on a duck, to stand there and tell the truth, to call out you fellow party members for selling out the principles that define the party makes him certifyable, then I for one will vote for the 'crazy-guy' to save us from the Hannity-Insanity that is taking over our party. Does anyone have video clips of what was going on outside the venue??? Media never broadcasts that and I am sure that it was probably more exciting outside then inside the event.

I went to the Bush and Gore Debate back a few years ago in Boston where they boxed out Ralph Nader from being a part of it (They do not need to burn the books they will just ban them!) and I was shocked to see more people outside the event then in the event. I am not a Nader Supporter either but there were thousands of people from hundreds of different groups that are continually being left out of the 2 mainstream parties. It also appeared that most of the attendees were paid college students wearing pretty much uniforms. It was shocking and very dissapointing to see that mass media only broadcast what they feel is in their best interest and ignores what may be the most important part of a Democracy the people.

Even the Old Eastern European countries/Soviet blocks had elections it was just that they told you who to vote for (Nice to have 90% turnout+ and all for your candidate). How twisted it seems we are not far off from that except we do not force people to vote. I am sure that the 2 major party system knows this and would rather not have any competition.

So we can be content with continually being told who you should vote for and then be stuck with voting for the lesser of 2 evils or you can get out and do something about it (A non violent revolution may not be such a radical idea??? ).

Especially in Primaries Vote for who believe represents your true values and do not be persuaded by the mass media. It is not a silly sporting event it is about your lively hood, your family and most important your childrens and their childrens future, Do your research and make up your own mind.

We the People can only be ignored for so long by the money hungry greed of the 2 party system and eventually when more people work for the Government then support it, it may then collapse. I would rather not see this but it is a possibility.

After reasearching all of the candidates from both parties Ron Paul has the most points that represent my beliefs so he has my vote. Maybe it is about time to have a 3rd or 4th party in this country???

lol Yeah this debate was a bit different.

For starters...am I the only one who noticed that the moderators and Sean Hannity all REFUSED to call him a Republican at any point in that debate? Even when they introduced him along with the other candidates they said "libertarian who sought the presidency in 88." Then Sean Hannity asked him backstage whether he was a libertarian or a republican...insinuating that the two are absolutely mutually exclusive. Guess none of those people ever read what Ronald Reagan wrote about libertarianism being the heart and soul of conservativism? Guess they never read about Ron Paul being one of only 4 congressmen who led the delegation to get Reagan the nomination in 76?

I liked how Paul didnt seem to care in the least that he got booed and was all smiles backstage on Hannity and Colmes when they interviewed him. He brushed it all off when asked about the booing and pointed out "well I didnt get 1,000 tickets; if I'd have got 2,000 tickets, I would have filled this place!" I was talking to two people over the age of 35. Both wanted to vote for Hillary because they want "free" health care. They don't care about the country, who has to pay for it, how much it cost in terms of perpetuating "monetizing the debt" and the people who profit from this system. They just don't care. Its sick.

The only way our country will change is if we quit asking our politicians for free stuff and bigger government. We must make a stand and vote for Ron Paul who will safely steer us away from this system.

Ron Paul is an honest man, he is telling the truth, even though many people are desperately trying to discredit him. Ron Paul was booed for his position on foreign policy in the debate, but he is very consistent with what the founding fathers would have said about the US policy towards Iraq. Some of us remember a 1996 primary where Pat Buchanan won NH and all of a sudden Dole's bank accounts were overflowing. If these same people see Ron Paul start to win, the money will pour into the next best-- even if they KNOW that candidate can't win. They would rather have Hillary than Ron Paul any day of the week. We are mainstream supporters, age 50sh, professionals in the workforce working for Fortune 500 companies. We believe he is a breath of fresh air, and we are sending money, and we are wholeheartedly supporting his candidacy. And, the other Republicans, along with the media mainstream, are making a mistake in not allowing him fair treatment, whether it's an audience, or whether it's the number of questions he's not getting, whether it’s a poll.

The other candidates will not win against Hillary Clinton, period. Ron Paul is THE ONLY candidate that would take all America by storm. There is no doubt about that in our minds.

His ideas resonate with the public, and there is nothing "radical" about them. Revolutionary? Yes, but not radical. The media does not allow him to finish his thoughts, for example, on Social Security. He would not wipe it out overnight. Instead, our grandparents would be more assured of receiving their checks, not less assured. Read his website on this issue. The public will understand.

And, finally, Hillary Clinton is the one who will be running frightened. She loves what is happening to Ron Paul, as she is not stupid. She knows he’s the only one who could be a threat. Is she worried right now? No way! She is rightfully aware that Ron Paul’s own party is axing him. We can beat her, but only with Ron Paul!

Shame on your news coverage of the debate - reporting on these boos as if it were some legitimate indicator of a candidate's support. The timing of the boos was so inappropriate (even if you disagree with Paul), and the time allotment for each of the candidates so uneven, that the debate loses it's legitimacy.

I would love to see a legitimate debate with equal time for the candidates (and equal questions), so that we, the people, can make an informed decision as to which candidate we support. I think about how clueless I was in past elections depending on mainstream media to help me make my decision. I will be doing my research on the so-called lower tier candidates on the internet. I'm starting to think that top tier candidates should be ruled out, because if they are supported by the owners of these media outlets (as seen in the biased coverage), then they are probably not good for the country.
