Of course Clinton and Drudge are in in bed together. He benefits from politicians who are corrupt and scandal-prone so he gets to use his siren as much as possible, and she benefits from the attention and spinning Drudge will do on her behalf. I think the reason that much of media spins for Hillary is that she is good for business. The Clintons give the media lots of juicy material: psychodrama, division , hyperpartisanship, scandals, etc. Where would all those right wingers be without Hillary as a bogeywoman to unify themselves around? What would the media have to talk about if we actually had a president who wasn't corrupt like the Bushes' and the Clintons? What is in the best interest of Drudge and the media is not what is in the best interest of this country.

For all the talk about democrats and their open secrets, Hillary Clinton is sure blowing that issue out of the sky.....

I think this story needs a bit more digging as well...

WASHINGTON — The Senate voted Thursday to kill a $1 million grant for a museum on the site of the 1969 Woodstock concert, a rare rebuke of a legislative pet project and a blow to the presidential candidate who backed it, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Why, oh why, would a billionaire need $1 million bucks of taxpayer money for a hippie museum? Hillary Clinton is playing fast and loose with the taxpayer's money again. This is another reason why the people of New York have not had very good representation from so-called Senator Clinton. The money was instead used for maternal health care, something Hillary Clinton does not care about.

I also think an investigation is warranted here, since the Billionaire made campaign contributions to both Hillary and Chuck Schemer. Was this a bribe in exchange for the earmark? I think any normal person could see that from a mile away.

The Clintons are powerful, so darn powerful I'm trying to figure out how Chinese dishwashers making $21,000 a year can contribute $2000 her her campaign.

Consider the following:

$21000 for a year of washing dishes in chinatown....

I figure $12000 take home after all the ridiculous taxes one has to pay in New York........

Rent is around $800-$1200 a month in Chinatown, less if you live out back with the dog........

Food, toilet tissue, heat, and other things one needs to survive.....

How can you give $2000 to Hillary without having some Chinese godfather giving you the money with a gun to your head?

Anyone who considers Clinton is naive and foolish. She will raise taxes, continue the war, make promises she can't keep, be elusive and inconsistant, and make even the layman mental. Though it might be difficult to accept, it is a fare better option to vote for someone with crediblity and someone who is capable of producing desirable results. Someone who has experiance and has accomplished success is what we need, not someone with whom no one can recall what she has done thus far. Running a country is like running a business, an enormous corporation, one that should not be taken lightly. It is important to keep the facts in mind. Some might not trust anyone, which is understandable, but the bottom line, if you vote wrong ( left) it will be disasterious

A little perspective on the presidential library papers might be in order. Here is the status on the Reagan library papers.

"Though the library opened in November 1991, only 10% of the papers from Reagan's eight years in office have been released, archivists said. That is partly because of the sheer volume of documents generated during his administration and the painstaking process of preparing such a historical mother lode for release, officials said.

Academics are more worried about an executive order issued by President Bush in 2001 that they say could indefinitely shield from public view, or at least further delay the release of, some of the late president's most sensitive documents.

The order bars archivists from releasing any former president's records without the approval of the sitting president and the former president, or a representative. Currently being challenged in court, the order overrides the Presidential Records Act of 1978, which established that a president's papers were not private property and set a 12-year limit on keeping communications between a president and his advisors secret."

This is the problem with the media. I watch MSNBC in the morning while I am getting my children ready for school. They did at least two segments on a gay character in the Harry Potter series, but no segment on the issues identified in First Read. The significance of this incongruent coverage is that people get their sense of the news in the morning on their way out the door. They do not have time at work to follow up on line to determine what else may be going on in the news. When they get home and watch the evening news they believe they are learning about what is the most important issues of the day. I guarantee the evening news will have a segment on the gay Harry Potter character, but little if anything at all about the secrecy surrounding the Clinton papers or the link with the Drudge report or the RNC stripping of delegates. The media complains about the candidates not providing substance, but the media doesn't report the substance. Re-printing the memos between the campaigns is not substance. Flag pins, cleavage and phone calls during speeches are not substance. How about segmets comparing health care plans. How about segments estimating the cost of proposed policies. Could the media please demonstrate a little hard work and sweat?

I'm a true dem, but absolutely cannot bring myself to vote for Hillary. There's just something wrong here. I'm so ready to move on from the Clintons and Bushes and I'm just lost why more people aren't going for Obama. I talk to people all the time, but just don't encounter "Clinton people". I run into a ton of people who say they're going to vote for Obama. Why aren't these people being polled!!! I LOVE OBAMA!! If Clinton gets the nom, I just will not be able to bring myself to vote for her.
