I saw some of it. They were ALL very brilliant and articulate women. Any of them would make a great First Lady. It's their spouse we'd be worried about.
Jeri Thompson looked like you'd just wanted to reach out and just hug her. She seemed the most vulnerable of all the women. I hope the press stop making disparaging comments about her and realized she's a young mother with little political experience.

So Ann Romney answered 11 questions. More than any other participant. Yet based on the paragraphs above, she got the least amount of coverage. Obviously, nothing this Mormon wife & mother said was of any value to America. Having sucessfully raised almost as many children as the rest of the spouses combined must be irrelevant. Equally obvious is that she has been married longer and to fewer men then at least the Republican spouses--including the no show. No wisdom to be gained there, right? You MSN "reporters" can't even recognize greatness when it's right in front of your noses.

Or, is it possible there is another agenda here? If Mitt Romney wins Iowa and New Hampshire and Michigan and Nevada, he'll be lucky to get a footnote from MSN and the rest of the MSM. If he can win some of these states it will be in spite of the media, not because of it--like democrats Hillary or Rudy.

While my heart and my prayers go out to the folks in Southern California who've lost their homes, and in some cases their lives, I have to ask the question; why wasn't there this much concern at the federal level for the victims of Katrina?
I guess your piece of America is smaller if your Black and poor in New Orleans, than it is if you're well off and white in Southern Califronia.

David. McCain is, by my definition, the only one. I come from a long line of men who stepped up and did their duty. I enlisted, two weeks out of High School and did my time in Vietnam. I had good friends who called me a fool for volunteering. They can work that out for themselves. I have nothing against them, unless they show a 'Chickenhawk' nature. That applies to everybody else, too. This is why I am an Independent. I doubt very much, if Republicans have any edge in Military Participation, judging from the Veterans in Politics. Trust me on this, when you're in a War, you dislike the Party that gets you there, or the Party that keeps you there, no matter what you outwardly might say. Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and Ford? Two Sailors and Two Civilians...but Politicians, baby, Politicians.

I did not enlist. I did register for the draft. I would have gone if drafted.

I don't buy the notion that one must serve in the military to be patriotic. Further, I would bet that most mothers in this country would consider Ann Romney a sucessful mother even though her sons didn't volunteer for the military. My real point it that the MSM has it in for Romney and will not give either Mitt or Ann their well earned respect, mainly because of MSM agenda-driven "journalism."

The Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana were under water just like everyone else...as was New Orleans' and Louisiana's emegency management resources.

Where was FEMA?

Where was The National Guard?
Any one of which could have, and would have, been ordered in to take charge of the situation by a REAL Commander in Chief!

The services being provided to those in San Diego are being provided by volunteers. No FEMA, no coast guard.

Perhaps NO really was a swamp, full of snakes and crocodiles, where they took advantage of one another, rather than helping one another. After all, San Diego County handled this on there own with help from CalFire (until the feds came in to try to get their face-time). They were burning like everyone else. Merle, you need to get your head out of your anal cavity and realize that the biggest problems with Katrina in Louisiana were the fault of Louisiana. MS. seemed to bounce back quite nicely, thank you. As will San Diego.
