I have yet to see anyone cite any law that says she has to divulge these papers at present. The Presidential Records act sets deadlines of something like 20 years after a President leaves office that their papers must be made public. So I would think that 2009 is pretty decent considering the normal timelines involved.

But then again, I'm not desperately looking for a small ray of hope that the Democrats aren't going to stomp the heck out of the Republicans in the next election, like Jerry.

First, I love Nick in Elmhurst (rolls eyes) - for someone who asks people to stick to facts, you have presented none in contrast to the article. Nice touch.
Second, the article does not mention another unavailability of documents - specifically, the ones that were "lost" when subpeonaed regarding her business dealings (Whitewater and two oterh cases of questionable legality) - they were all "lost and/or destroyed" and were no longer available to investigators then, despite their previous knowledge of their whereabouts. They were found suddenly (surprise) when the Clintons left the White House - IN the White House! They were then moved to this same Library and made unavailable again much like these.
Third, her actions when First Lady are what has lked to the problems with the Medical Industries now!

The problem I have with Hillary is not her platform, views, her sex, or such - its that she is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with politicians - corrupt, hypocritical, unable to take a stand on anything, and inflammatory and two-faced - and she simply refuses to even deny it - she just changes the subject and moves on. If Rudy Giuliani was specifically citing his relationship with his ex-wife as evidence of his ability to be President, then he should be expected to provide details and documents related to that period of time. He's not doing that, so we don't need to keep asking him for his love letters.

In Hillary's case, she has clearly cited her 8 years in the White House as support of her claim that she has experience.

Other than "leading" the failed health care initiative and preventing a settlement with Paula Jones that forced Bill Clinton to testify under oath, which led to his lie about his conduct, which led to impeachment, what experience does she have? What evidence is there that the 8 years in the White House has helped to prepare Hillary for leading the nation?

In any event, let us not confuse activity with accomplishment. Naming post offices seems to be the number one item on her Senate resume. Hillary has spent a lot of time "fighting" and "working" and occupying space, but what specific accomplishments can she point to? Not bills co-sponsored or other political window dressing, what has she actually gotten done?

If Hillary supporters want to tout her experience, I think the rest of us have a right to know how that experience translates into ability to lead. This is an impossible case for Hillary to make because she does not have the judgment, leadership and character we need in a President if we are to solve the major problems confronting us. Being a woman or having lived with the President are not sufficient to prove the case.
