His biggest problem is noone has heard him yet. Why do you think liberals like Giulliani, Romney, Thompson, McCain are the front runners? Because they had a ton of free media exposure(Giulliani because of 9/11, Romney because of his millions, McCain because of his 2000 run, Thompson because of Law & Order).

Frankly if this race was based on who is a real conservative...it would be down to Ron Paul vs Tancredo vs Hunter. All the rest are RINOs(and yes that includes Huckabee, he may be a social conservative, but he is a horrible fiscal conservative, just go take a swim in a lake he had the state build right next to his house in order to raise it's value)

And if they did hear about him, they most likely were told lies about him...you know, calling him an isolationist when he is a non-interventionist, calling him a liberterian when he's been a Republican for 30 years, not letting him clarify that the reason he wants to close the CIA, is because he believes intelligence gathering should be the job of the army, and that him wanting to abolish the IRS, is not kooky at all, and that doing so will only mean we need to scale back our big government back to Year 2000 levels.

And there is more...frankly if I were to write out all the lies I heard about Ron Paul from the media, it would be a 30 page list.

Paul’s ad push

The difference between Ron P and Ross P is RP seems to be sane. M. Palmer..you do realize the "woohoo" was a lie by redstate? Go read through some of old messages that were discussing Ron Paul. You will see that Ron Paul supporters would reply almost unilaterally with long paragraphs discussing each issue, trying to reason. And in return would get insulted and attacked for being Ron Paul supporters.

Its actually quite the opposite...the anti-Ron Paul people are the ones with 1 word answers...I'm not even going to link you to one specific thread..because this happens in almost every single Ron Paul thread on there. So go check it for yourself.

Example: A Ron Paul supporter would say somethign along the lines of: The Iraq war is bankrupting this nation and destroying our military. And in response you'll get something along the lines of "you broke it you bought it, surrender monkey, traitor, paul bot" etc

So go ahead look, and see that its the anti-paul people that are being rude and annoying.

Actually that brings me up to a good point...all this negativity towards Ron Paul and his supporters solely because of the anti-war position, will destroy the Republican party. I've been a Republican for 20 years, and if Ron Paul is not nominated I'll be supporting a 3rd party candidate...and after this election I'll be switching my affiliation...why? Because the party betrayed my trust, and I do not appreciate being insulted and attacked because of who I support, you think people will fall in line and support another Republican after they get attacked and insulted day in and day out? After their signs on their own property get ripped to shreds? After they get labeled insane by their own party, even though they support the core Republican position? We used to be the anti-war party...WTF happened? How can you be a fiscal conservative, and be willing throw away close to 3 trillion dollars getting bogged down in Middle east?(thats the estimated cost with the next 10 years)

Seriously go reread the GOP mission statement...(its a 10 point "I pledge to..." document on the gop website)...Ron Paul is the only candidate on that stage who is even close to all those values that this whole party was founded on.

Seriously I would think the GOP would be bending over backwards to get this man to win...because he is the only one capable of winning the general election, because he agrees with 75% of the country that is against the Iraq war...AND has a better record on it than any of the leading Democrats. Or how about the fact that he is the only candidate that is bringing fresh blood into the party? I mean seriously go to your local GOP meeting, the average age is close to 55. But no, instead they choose to criticize and insult him and his supporters.

Paul’s ad push

Stop the Ron Paul BS. We no there are 2-3 thousand supporters that keep dialing, internet voting, and blogging. The gig is up and we know it's all a scam. Do everyone a favor and go home and let the real people/candidates alone.

Paul’s ad push

If not for the media censure("free media") and corporatist-funded whores like Chuck Todd, Mark Murray, Dominico Monetenaro and the rest of the Republicrat pimp-controlled media, Ron Paul's authentic message might REALLY be heard by the common folk who badly need to detoxify their little brains that have been highly contaminated by the constant lies, mistruths and deceptions methodically pumped from these "main stream"(democracy-manipulating, anti-We The People) pollutant machinery.

http://www.jonesreport.com/articles/150507_ron_paul_debate.html

Paul’s ad push

On paper Paul is more conservative than Giuliani so I'm not sure why you Libs want him over Rudy. The Neo-Cons don't care about social issues so Rudy's liberal views don't matter much as long as he takes foreign policy cues from them, which he's doing. Not to mention they care more about beating Hillary. Rudy might be a liberal but "he's our liberal" is the new GOP mantra. He'll get the nod b/c winning is more important than anything else. He'll grab a evangelical friendly VP so all is well in Elephant land. That amount would surpass his opponents totals and Mitt would have to loan himself another 30 million to keep up because he's not as frugal as Ron Paul. I think Hillary would start to worry too because she can't beat him on the two main issues of this election, Iraq and the economy. Then watch the attacks come from every angle from MSM to blogs to opponent campaign ads. They'll exhaust themselves trying to destroy the statesman and then in spite of them he'll be our next President. No more corporate handouts, no more 3rd party blackouts, no more excessive spending and war for anything other than self-defense. It is very bold of Ron Paul to put his life on the line for us (and mind you it is on the line because he is not a CFR member). What does that mean about the people who think we're crazy? To me, it means they accept government control rather than having the freedom to do what they want to do. Lefties want control of the economy to redistribute wealth, righties want control of societal norms. Both spend without limits. Neither seem to care that force is required for either or both positions. Since capitalism provides opportunity UNTIL you get politicians granting favors and setting standards and personal liberty provides peace and promotes responsibility and goodwill UNTIL you get politicians legislating their morality upon you, libertarianism is clearly the fairest, most just form of governance. You'll notice I said libertatrianism rather than anarchism. They are not the same, for libertarians accept government having the role of protection of the individual from infringement of rights by others aas well as the defense against aggressors (force and fraud, invasion, etc.)

Think, America. Your disdain for Ron Paul reveals that you, in fact, are not well versed in either political philosophy or practical politics. By your line of thought, Pat Buchanan would be a "liberal." Americans like yourself that masquerade under the conservative banner have really created havoc and butchered its true meaning. To clarify, conservatism is not defined by rabid militarism, a beer gut, and defiant and proud ignorance. The candidates you support only promote and advance the ongoing illegal alien invasion, gun control, high taxation, social entitlements, and big government. Tell us, sir, in factual detail the way in which this agenda fits into conservative practice.

In truth, Ron Paul is the only candidate urging a platform that our Founding Fathers would recognize as consistent with the constitutionally limited, federated, free republic they established.

In any event, this ad blitz should have a substantive effect. Sorry for the rant, I'm done now. :)

Paul’s ad push

Dr. Ron Paul cured my hopelessness.

Paul’s ad push

I look forward to voting Ron Paul in 2008-!

Paul’s ad push

Yeah, RP does'nt have a chance, but neither did Jesus Christ or Seabiscut

Paul’s ad push

Re: the Nov. 5th concern:

Let them report that we missed our $4M goal and got $3M instead. That's amazing news compared to the others. The corporate donors have blown their wad for now...they will wait until their is a true front runner to back.

That leaves the only momentum to Paul.

Can I have a "yeehaaw!" Let's go get'm.

Nov. 5th and any time in between. Let's buy this country back!

Paul’s ad push

Thank you for the shred of true coverage. Ron Paul is that candidate and he presents extraordinary opportunity to wind back the influence of the military industrial complex that threatens the very existence of our nation state. He treated poor patients for free rather than take Medicare payments.

He returns political contributions received from corporations! His average donation is $40 per person. He raised $5 million in Q3 and is on tract to raise $3 million in October.

He declined his very lucrative Congressional pension, because he does not believe he has a right to grab part of your paycheck and you have no obligation to take care of his retirement. In 30 years he has never taken a single political junket. He has never done a single deal with a special interest group or corporation.

He will allow young people to opt out of Social Security. He knows young people will never enjoy the benefits of Social Security, so why tax them?

Now, here’s an honest politician with integrity. He is the lone Republican who opposed the war, when it was still only on the White House agenda, long before 9/11. He will bring our troops home and end the suffering in Iraq. A vote for Ron Paul will restore our image abroad.

His record takes one’s breath away. For thirty years he cast every one of his votes strictly in accordance with the Constitution.

Don’t think Republican vs Democrat. Think honesty, integrity, my future, my children’s future vs. political graft, special interests, lobbyists, $9 trillion Federal debt, incurring $500 billion in interest annually. The Iraq war will add another $2.4 trillion. It’s like light vs darkness. It’s an easy choice. Vote Ron Paul, it will change the country for ever, for the better.

Paul’s ad push

Ron Paul + Goldwater:
"In your heart, you know they're right"

Paul’s ad push

If Ron Paul wasn't so popular, why the hell are even the Ron Paul haters out in full force?
I'm still laughing at all the positive tax hike Mike Huckabee is getting, he "singlehandedly destroyed the conservative movement in Arkansas"

Walter Williams or Goldwater Jr. for VP

Paul’s ad push

When Ron Paul wins the nomination, I would like to nominate Lou Dobbs as his Vice President!

Paul’s ad push

It's funny how many of us Ron Paul supporters have been described as "wearing tin-foil hats", or how Ron Paul is called "crazy"...

...but the people who are lying us into wars, assaulting the Bill of Rights, destroying the dollar, and keeping a NUCLEAR FIRST STRIKE against Iran "on the table" (yes, you Hillary) are the "serious leaders" we're supposed to respect.

Any candidate who DOESN'T talk about monetary policy or the lunacy of trying to maintain a global military empire is not worth listening to. The other candidates talk about band-aid solutions to numerous problems, while Dr. Paul is seeking to cure the underlying disease. Whether it's affordable health care, the gap between rich and poor, crime, terrorism, civil liberties, or a thousand other issues, the destruction of our currency by the Federal Reserve/Congress/M.I.C. and the lust for empire is at the heart of it all.

Paul’s ad push

Don't you people get it! America is driven by the ELITE and POWERFUL, not by the idealistic and practical. This looks like a Wesley Clark grass roots blog which was equally delusional. Nobody on this blog really has a say in this matter. Why? Because you don't have enough money and hence not enough influence. Opinions make a great sound bite but that's all the bite they will ever have. The people who really run this country will not let Ron Paul be the next President. The naiveness of the simple voter that thinks they can "make a difference" is disturbingly unrealistic.

Bank on this: Rudy vs Hillary

Pick your poison. And Repubs get yourselves a new definition of "liberal" because win or lose...YOU GOT ONE.

Paul’s ad push

Fascism, Socialism, or FREEDOM!!!! The collection of speeches on the floor of the House that makes up the book exposed a government that had lost all its ability to reason or use the most basic elements of common-sense. I never dreamed that this country was in the hands of such imbecilic, feckless morons until I read the speeches Ron Paul delivered; it exposed the utter folly that most of our government officials operate under and what it costs this People, this Nation.

I have been around for the elections and administrations of 11 Presidencies; I have watched this country degenerate into a nation like all the rest, with a government like all the rest...only interested in power for power’s sake and the gain of wealth at any cost. It has been driven from being the creditor and breadbasket to the world to being the largest debtor-servant to the world. Our nation has been sold off the to highest bidder, given away without regard to the consequences of our actions and transformed into a military hammer that rivals the war-lust of empires and regimes that crumbled from their excesses.

We have faltered from the path of Liberty, its light dimmed by political intrigue and corruption. The militaristic warmongers have pushed their destructive ideology on the entire political realm of what was once good government, which was once sober in the use of power and respectful of the sovereignty of other nations. After 109 years of interventionism, that has caused untold troubles for this country and this world, it is time to honestly evaluate the consequences of such interventions, both overt and covert. If our foreign policy is not reviewed in terms of all the effects and consequences of that policy then we have no business implementing such policy. Until our government can state with certainty that the likelihood of potential harmful consequences from the implementation of our foreign policy is extremely low then we have no business gambling on such policy. Potential blowback should not be accepted part of the equation within our foreign policy.
Ron Paul appears to be one of those common-sense politicians that gets it, that understands the needs and the potential dangers that we face because we have been reckless in our use of military, economic and covert interventions around the world. It is time for a drastic change in this country, a drastic shake up in every level of government and I believe that Ron Paul is just the man to accomplish that shake up!
Paul’s ad push

Judge Andrew Napolitano would be a perfect match for the Ron Paul Constitutionalist Presidency!

Paul’s ad push

isaidthat...I noticed that you stated: "A republican by any other name is still a
republican - vote democratic and save America!!!"

Consider this, America has been in the grip of the diseased wings of the Democratic and Republican power structure for decades. Do you honestly believe that by electing one of the members of the Democratic Entrenchment will solve the issues that they, along with the help of the Republican Entrenchment, created?

They are mirror images of each other...one presenting the stage play for the voters, gaining power and contributing to the ruination of this country for 4 to 8 years, then switching places to do it all over again. Each side have played their respective parts in bringing this nation to the sad state we find it in today, it will take someone with guts, like Ron Paul, to fight against those who have embedded themselves in the flesh of this country like parasitic ticks feeding off the blood of this nation. It is time to cast out the traitorous thugs, disrupt their agendas and expose their false and feckless promises!
