Can you guys look into why I just got an email from Bill Clinton at the DCCC asking me to sign a birthday card to Hillary that says at the bottom paid for by the DCCC and approved by Hillary Clinton for President.

If you sign the birthday card it then takes you to a Hillary contribution page.

Seems a little wrong for the DCCC to be basically sending out a fundraising email for Hillary.

To all of those who don't like Romney...I consider you to be religious bigots who are hiding behind miscellaneous detractions instead of confronting really why you don't like him (he's a Mormon).

Hillary wants to raise our taxes to 44% because she wants to continue the dole out to her constituents, Rudy will do nothing as president, and Ron Paul or Obama don't have the experience needed to be president.

So, who's left in the race? Romney and Edwards. If you listen to Romney, he has made changes to his thought process and beliefs based on his experiences. Like with abortion, he was strongly anti-abortion until a close family friend died as a result of a botched, back room one. He now realizes that there is a place for legalized abortions.

I could go on in other areas too. My biggest complaint with "shrub" (miss you Anne Richards), is that he will not change his position, even when the situation has changed.

We need someone who is a Leader not a politician who wants to be President to make a difference in this country. The only ones that I see who fits that description are Romney and Bill Richardson.

Want to marry a member of the same sex? Go for it! Not my choice but I don't see I have the right to limit your choices. (Though I can see each church having the ability to decide who they perform ceremonies for. Civil Unions shouldn't be a problem since the Government is in control of them and the Government really shouldn't care who we are sleeping with provided each person is consenting and of age).

I think we should elect the lawmakers that are going to give us the ability to make our own choices and force us to take responsibility for our choices.

I know, it's scary asking adults to be responsible adults, but I think the alternative is far more frightening.

The article was misleading. I reread it several times and could not find support for the statement.

What he said was the alternative was someone who supports the line item veto. That is not conservative. The supreme court has ruled it unconstitutional so to support it would be radical not conservative. A conservative believes in the constitution.

I agree with Burke in Ft. Worth. Romney isn't flip flopping as people might suggest. The sign of a good leader is one who IS willing to change his/her mind based on evidence and experience. Why would you stick with a position you initially chose when you have learned through experience or have been presented evidence that clearly refutes your original position? Romney has common sense. He is fiscally responsible. He has the best ethics of any candidate.

What we all too often forget during a presidencial election is that the president is not the top law-maker. He (or she) is the head of the executive branch of government. Laws are established in the legistrative branch. Sure the president has veto power, but ultimately the authority to pass laws rests with the legistrative branch as they can overide that veto.

What we need in a president is someone who can lead the largest administrative staff in the world. Think of it like someone running the largest business venture and the choice is clear - Mitt for President! Hillary, on the other hand, has managed a staff of about 50. She's not even close to being in the same league. In fact, the only reason she's in the running is her popularity from being 1st lady. Had Bill lost to George Sr. she'd be ancient history by now.

I keep hearing that people wouldn't vote for Romney because he's a "Mormon" (member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). I highly suspect that a VAST majority who feel this way (e.g., Mormons aren't Christian, etc.) have no idea of what Mormonism professes. True, they don't follow the dictates handed down as the Nicean or Anasthesian Creeds, but they line up perfectly with the doctrines on God as set forth in the New Testament.

I recently heard a wonderful Lutheran scholar (Harvard School of Divinity, etc.) speak on how we should look at others: (1) Go to the source for information on a religion, not to its critics or enemies (i.e., anyone whose livelihood may be threatened by what they perceive as "sheep-stealing"). (2) don't compare the best in your religion with the worst in theirs ("..you will know them by their fruits"). (3)...don't remember exactly, but something about having a holy respect for uplifting doctrines found outside of one's own religion.

Speaking as one person, I want the Constitution to be defended. If Romney can do this best, I'll vote for him; if Huckaby or someone else fills that bill better, he'll get my nod. Anyone believing in a New World Order (Bush and Bush) or socialism (any Democrat in the government) should raise warning flags. Unfortunately, such people hide their true intentions. Is there still any place in this world for honor and honesty?

Two stellar nominees for the Republicans: a flip-flopper and a fascist. Looking at the choices from both parties, I'd have to say that we should downsize government, and eliminate the position of president entirely. In short, at this point it seems that anyone who wants to be president is fundamentally unqualified for the job.

I suprised Hillary even finds her way to anything. She is about the most retarded person in the race. If she can't control her husband, how can she control a country. Mitt Romney (the "smug" guy) was voted into office as govenor in a SOCIALIST state. Not only that, but they LIKED him. Mitt has done something no democrat has done to this point, take a stance and STICK TO IT.

He is not running for office while serving in office, which shows integrity in my book, because people already in political positions have to be "stealing" time and money from their own constituents to be running for another office at the same time.
Mr. Romney changed his opinions once. That is a change that came from an increase in knowledge and understanding. In my opinion, no one has been able to show that he has "really" been flip-flopping.
He has done a great number of things on his own, starting his own business, operating it efficiently and profitably and creating his own honestly gained wealth.
He saved the Olympics in Salt Lake City from financial disaster, with little monetary return (accepting only a $1.00 salary until they started to show a profit which is leadership by example)
Strong and good family values, exemplified further in his children.
If you lived in MA, politically he worked very hard to bring everyone together to accomplish needed change, so he was willing to comprimise on some things when necessary for the better good of the many.
He is not a politician that needs the money of special interest groups, as also shown by his willingness to invest large amounts of his own money in his campaign.
Always look at the person and their character- he is a very good choice for President of the United States of America.

You all missed the train as far as I am concerned. there is only one man to lead our country out of this mess and that is John McCain. A law firm in Delaware that has admitted to filing false affidavits in eToys, Morris Nichols (MNAT) has not been prosecuted for the $300 million in fraud issues therein. MNAT represented eToys while it negotiated the sale of eToys assets to Bain for discounts in the tens of millions. Bain was owned and controlled by Mitt Romney at the time.
In 2001, a law firm partner at MNAT became a US Attorney. Colm F Connolly has not prosecuted to case after having the proofs of over $300 million in fraud for several years.
Now Colm F Connolly is being promoted to a Federal District Court Judgeship.
Seems to be a good career move to avoid prosecuting your partners and former firm clients issues.
Wonder what will happen now that they are Caught!
