The company was eventually fined a record $119 million for defrauding the federal government out of $25 million, but Bain still tripled its investment on the Damon deal. And Romney, who was sitting on the Damon board at the time of the fraud (his claim that he was the one who called for an internal investigation has never been substantiated), made a personal profit of $473,000 on the deal.

In a delicious detail that says a lot about the nature of Romney's morality, the investor had no problem making piles of cash off companies that executed mass layoffs or defrauded the government, but he balked when asked to invest in a Bain deal to acquire a video distribution company called Artisan Entertainment. "I didn't want to profit from a studio that made R-rated movies," he huffed.
So when some starched-up, smooth -talking, TV-ready creature like Mitt Romney, who made his fortune laying off factory workers, walks onto college campuses and starts bashing cohabitation and having children out of wedlock, he loses young people who are tired of watching our leaders **** things up on a grand scale and then turn around and blame our problems on stoned teenagers".

2-man race: Rudy v. the conservative?

"Clinton can't even control her husband, so how can she control the country. Just another DUMBOCRAT "

Typical nazi - thinks people should "control" other people. He wants to leave the option open for parents to chose public or private schools, but most middle-class Americans, cannot afford to go to private school. Instead of letting the system fail, why not improve it, our tax dollars are already paying for it!

The only viable candidate the republicans have is Ron Paul, say what you want about him.. but a pro-war candidate is unelectable... unless you want Hillary in office you better back him

2-man race: Rudy v. the conservative?

RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
JOIN THE MOVEMENT THAT IS TAKING THE COUNTRY AND THE WORLD BY SURPRISE

2-man race: Rudy v. the conservative?

To all of those who don't like Romney...I consider you to be religious bigots who are hiding behind miscellaneous detractions instead of confronting really why you don't like him (he's a Mormon).

Hillary wants to raise our taxes to 44% because she wants to continue the dole out to her constituents, Rudy will do nothing as president, and Ron Paul or Obama don't have the experience needed to be president.

So, who's left in the race? Romney and Edwards. If you listen to Romney, he has made changes to his thought process and beliefs based on his experiences. Like with abortion, he was strongly anti-abortion until a close family friend died as a result of a botched, back room one. He now realizes that there is a place for legalized abortions.

I could go on in other areas too. My biggest complaint with "shrub" (miss you Anne Richards), is that he will not change his position, even when the situation has changed.

We need someone who is a Leader not a politician who wants to be President to make a difference in this country. The only ones that I see who fits that description are Romney and Bill Richardson.

2-man race: Rudy v. the conservative?

Just strap your dog to the top oif your car like Mitty did and drive 12 hours on a vacation and you can run for President too.. Is this the best we can do ? Instead of attacking the worst president that this country has seen in its history, the ostrich like Republicrooks are beginning to tear each other to pieces. They act as if their house and senate seats are safe, when in reality they know that they are going to lose both houses BIG time. It is going to be President H.Clinton, there is not a single Rep. candidate that could give her a run for the Presidency with the exception of Ron Paul. He will never wind up being the Republican of choice because he tells the truth. The Republicans love liars, and from the top down, they have more than their fair share of them.
