2. Senator Clinton, lately you have been in trouble with money bundlers from Norman Hsu to Mauricio Celis. Isn't it about time you starting checking to make sure you don't have criminals on your campaign team?

3. With Democrats promising to punish successful Americans with all sorts of nonsense style tax rates that will hurt the middle class as well, one has to wonder if all these gimmicks you have proposed will be be accepted by the democratic congress. Can you guarantee the American people that unemployment will stay below 5% during your four years of a Clinton White House?

4. And finally Senator Clinton, How are your policies going to help Chinese dishwashers who make $21,000 a year, yet contribute thousands to your campaind coffers?

Many of us gravitated toward Hillary, early on, thinking that she is the most likely democrat to be elected president. And she is quite articulate on a number of subjects near to our hearts. But she is also prone to being pigheaded, as is GW, and militaristic, as is GW, and lately that worries me. I dread a continuation - four more years of political gridlock - this time under a democrat president.

So, I am more interested in John Edwards and Barac Obama as candidates. I hope Mr. Obama is able to gain some traction against Hillary. He is not going to win a beauty contest. So if that is going to happen, he is going to have to trumpet substantial separation between he and Hillary on an issue that resonates with liberal/ populist/progressive Americans.

I do not see any domestic issues on which there is visible, substantial separation. It must then be foreign policy.

Barac Obama needs to articulate the case against GW on Iraq in a way that Hillary is unable or unwilling to. He needs to strike a chord with the democrat base that brings them to their feet.

Finally an article which demonstrates the true dominance that Edwards is showing in the polls. The only reason he has been losing in the general polls is because no one is paying any attention yet, and hardly any positive news or even substantive news discussing his policies has been presented. There has been a huge bias on every channel, putting down the Edwards campaign, focusing on his haircuts, focusing on his wealth. So far the media has shown their ability to dumb us all down to where everything is a dumb story intend to speak right to the gut. 'Oh he makes money and wants to help the poor' he's a hypocrite. Please there are no more messiahs and in order to help the poor these days you need to have the resources to do so. 'But he gets expensive haircuts.' Let's pretend for a second that this matters the least bit, why don't we know how much Senator Clinton or Governor Romney pay for their haircuts, I guarantee you it is over $100 more likely $200. 'But it's a testament to his character.' No it's not. It’s a stupid talking point put forth by Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh to try and diminish his candidacy in they eyes of the common man. Why? The vast right-wing conspiracy now is Hillary, sorry Hill, it's the truth.

Corporate interests and the right-wing want Hillary because she turns out the Anti-Bill, semi-retarded values voters (as if bjs were at all important to American life and our status as a super power). It's not her fault, but it's true. For that reason Hillary Clinton is the GOPs only chance for a close race.

Edwards wipes all the GOP off the map in the head to heads. For that matter so does Obama. Right now Edwards and Obama are blocking each other in polling. All I have seen are pathetic subjective analyses of where their voters go as a second choice. I'll tell you this that virtually all Edwards voters would go Obama before Hillary, and to a lesser extent the opposite is true as well. That's why the Iowa caucus will once again knock off the presumptive nominee. The second and third place will band together and knock off ol Hillary or at least I hope Edwards and Obama are smart enough to do so. If they were we'd have Presidential dominance for 16 years Edwards first and then the inevitable victory of Vice President Obama in 2016. Please Hillary go away for the sake of the nation. We need a sure thing now. We need a new course.

While I am clearly in Obama's camp in terms of who I'd like to see as the Democratic nominee, if Edwards is capable of pulling out a win in Iowa and/or New Hampshire (his message really resonates well in both states), I can see myself voting for him as well. I recently saw him in a couple of interviews, one-on-one and his positions both domestically and internationally are very much in line with what I believe.

I just wish one of them--Obama or Edwards--would grow a set and take Hillary head-on in regards to her voting record and her recent statements about both Iraq and Iran and the continued sabre-rattling she is engaging in while at the same time talking about "change" and how she's use diplomacy first. Her definition of diplomacy apparently includes fatigues and an M-16 assault rifle. To me, that sounds no different than the imbicile running the place now.

A recent gallop poll as of Oct 4th thru the 7th showed the dem controlled congress's job approval rating was at 23% approved and 71% dissaproved. This is the Congress that Dems promised would end the war in Iraq and would accomplish much in the first 100 days. Their approval rating is worse than Bush's. Hillary voted yes to the war based on the same flawed Intellegence reports as Bush. So how can anyone vote for her. I would not vote for either a dumbacrat or reflublican. Look at her voting record. Instead of standing with her Democratic colleagues and actually trying to end the Iraq war and telling Dubya where to shove his cash requests, she gives him blank check after blank check. If she's about "change", she's had 6+ years in the Senate to get it going with either her vote or her opportunity to introduce legislation on the Senate floor. She's done neither.

Even now, she's given very few details of her own policy agenda if elected, instead choosing to consistently attack the details of what her two chief rivals would do. While their ideas aren't perfect, they're the very kind of starting point the country needs to begin moving in the right direction. Therefore, in the spirit of fair play let's ask a few questions about Obama that NEVER seem to get answered.
Like, why didn't he admit his relationship with Norman Hsu, instead of trying to let the media blame everything on Hillary?

Oh, and how come we never hear about The Obama/Rezko Scandal?
The story is that Obama has ties to Rita Rezko, the wife of Tony Rezko, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich's former chief fundraiser. Tony Rezko has been indicted in a massive scandal involving giving government jobs and contracts to Blagojevich's contributors. Apparently, the Rezkos live in a mansion in the suburbs north of Chicago, but on the same day that Obama bought a $1.6 million house on the south side of Chicago, Rezko's wife bought the vacant lot next door. Then Obama bought 10 feet of the Rezko lot, and Obama has now been paying for the mowing of all of the Rezko lot, though he says that he has been meaning to divide the costs.
Hmmmmmmmm, interesting, huh?
.....and why won't Barrack Obama hold his hand over his heart while the "Star Spangled Banner" is played, or wear an American Flag on his lapel?
Could it be that Obama feels no love or patriotism for his country? It sure looks that way, doesn't it?

No one is missing this point. In fact, the issue has been worn out. Here is the point you are missing: this isn't a comparison of powder-puff football vs. the NFL. At this level, your gender is not nearly as important as you are hoping it is. Sure, there may be differences, but they are small and insignificant. If you seriously think her estrogen level will inform her foreign policy, you are sadly mistaken.

In fact the story here in Texas is so big, the leading democrat to take out John Cornyn out of the Senate here in Texas had to end his run due to the fallout from this case. So the GOP Senate seats should remain safe in Texas for quite some time. All the other big name democrats have the same problem here, so they will have to find some no name to run and he should be horsewhipped pretty easily.

Apparently Mr. Murray is not an NFL fan. The Patriots have crushed every team they have faced this year, most recently beating the Redskins 52-7 yesterday. Brady has an astounding 30 TD passes in only 8 games, while only throwing 2 interceptions. Boston sports fans have many reasons to celebrate right now.

But back to the topic at hand. Does Boston even claim Romney? There are always a lot of posts from people in NYC regarding Rudy and how disliked he is in the Big Apple, but I don't see many posts from people in MA about Romney. I wonder what people there think of him.

Citizen J: Thank you. Of all the comments posted today the most infuriating is from Bionic Woman who is voting for Hillary because she wants a woman's point of view in the White House. Female sexism doesn't negate and isn't any better than male sexism. The point is to eliminate sexism and racism from our society. I will vote for a candidate based on their qualifications (and I've made no secret of my preference) and not on whether their plumbing is outside or inside or for that matter on the basis of their religion or skin color.

I'm only bringing this up because I believe that anyone who votes for (or against) a candidate based on such a superficial assessment is truly lame. I guess we all have the right to make our choices based on whatever quality floats our particular boat, but how stupid to pick or dismiss a candidate based on such a callow value system.

I hope Citizen J is right and that this comment does not represent the greater part or even a great part of the electorate.

Polls continue to show that Liberal white voters will not vote for a black President. The latest polls show Barak Obama, with a mid-20% voter choice among Democrats, little changed from early in the campaign. I respond:

Your viseral reaction to Bionic Woman's brief comments are systematic of male egos (mine included at times). Her's were hardly the most offensive comments made in this blog. (Read any of the jerry/corpus christi texas nonsense!)

What is wrong with factoring gender into a persons voting decision, especially when it finally breaks an artificial barrier for more than half the U.S. voting population? We have a unique opportunity in 2008 of eliminating the gender or race barrier in Presidential elections. In my view, Obama has a great deal of potential, but 2008 may be too soon for him personally. I'm not sure whether the drive and passion needed to win is there quite yet for Barack.

The same is not true for Hillary Clinton. I'm sure she is ready to assume the Presidency and confident she will not trash the freedoms so many Americans have given "their last full measure of devotion", but will protect it and embrace it. We need a President who will not permit Osama bin Ladin to "win" simply by ignoring or lessoning the freedoms we all share and took for granted before 9/11/2001. That is the Dubya weakness that badly needs replacing! Keep your eye on the prize!
