Why does this have to be Klein is on Obama's side? Is it possible that despite the media's blood thirst, Obama is trying to stay above board and question Clinton on matters of substance? Could it be possible that Obama is not comfortable attacking people, and maybe that's a good thing? The nice thing about Klein is he dares to say something different. What a concept!

The current rash of Clinton stories are a perfect example of the media's mob mentality. They do not question HRC's absence of detail for months on end. However, it is the focus of one debate, where the moderators (for once) do not allow canned answers to stand and now it is headlines across the country. I thought the press was supposed to speak for the public and overturn stones, today's national press is so myopic that they are unable to think outside what everyone else is saying.

Nice work Joe Klein! Way to be a journalist!

This is insulting to democratic women like myself.
Hillary plays the victim again. She has had an easy ride and has been portrayed by the press as not just inevitable but, treated as a queen.
She has not faced anything tough. Not being pressed on her failure to answer questions to troubling things about her candidacy. She has daily All about Hillary love fest by the media news programs.
She has had a totally free pass and has been treated with kid gloves since she announced. One brave journalist who dared to break with the beltway Queen's court, said Hillary has not had one bad hair day all year.
She has one night where she is challenged on her failure to answer questions, serious issues are raised about her and her qualifications and suddenly it's sexism and victim time.
What the heck is she going to do when the republicans really attack her? cry?
What about on the world stage when a leader gets tough with her? cry victim? not very presidential.
How about all the tough treatment Obama has gotten and what about all the slime Hillary feeds the press on him? does he cry racism? No. Because he doesn't play games and is a legit candidate due to his own hard work. Hillary owes her career to her husband and not because of accomplishment. Of which, has the press compared his senate record and legislation with hers? Aside from flag burning, what legislation has she even done?
Like bush, Hillary is a serious candidate who has been getting favored treatment because of a family name and this country cannot afford another president because of name and not accomplishment.

As Mike Gravel said American people are becoming fatter and dumber. If you guys can't be so easily fooled by corrupt politicians like Clinton and Media conspiracy, then Obama did not need to spend time to differential himself because you could do it on your own. But since American people are sleep walking and their functioning brains are immersed in sand but the implication of that is disaster for the future of the country and the world, he has no option but spend some time to educate fools. Voting is a serious issue. Outcome of your vote have impact so many things around the world. So take the emotion out, think clearly through about the implication of your vote before going to polling booth. If you can't figure it out, don't go there based on what crap Clintons or the media made you believe. Sorry for the strong words. But people get the government they deserve. You deserved Bush, you got the mess. If you deserve Clinton, better get ready for bigger disasters

I think some focus is lacking over the assertion that rising tensions with Iran (like declaring the guard as a terrorist organization) is causing the UNNECESSARY rise in oil prices $30-$40 the actual value. This hits home to every American and is one very reasonable point made by Joe Biden as to why he voted against it.

The corporate media at the national level is focusing on Clinton, good or bad, because she is an insider and they want her as "the other option". She's good for big business. Is she good for the country as a whole? I think not.

Media used to be about the people. Getting the story, digging up dirt. Bruce, NV. You've completely missed the point. If you pay for any gas or oil you can thank the hapless way the White House goes about dealing with Foreign issues. This vote and the leaqd-up to it is a HUGE factor in the increase risk jump that the oil has taken recently.
As Biden pointed out, if Bush wanted to push more sanctions on Iran (or push other diplomatic efforts), he really did not need this bill to it. HRC and many others just fed right into the problem, and it is costing all of us today. Like he said "Big countris don't bluff" These types of policies the Repubs and the HRC machine is hurting every common American. This has to be a bigger news story.
