I don't even know where they stand on issues. Please give me a break when it comes to Republican.

As far as i am concern. Republican is equivalent to disaster when it comes to foreign policy. The only thing that will make me vote for them is Hillary Clinton.

Why play word games? I simply have a real hard time getting past the candidates’ individual make-up to consider any value for whether they are Republican or Democrat, conservative or liberal, Christian Right or not, hawk or dove and so on. I don’t see how it matters whether they are male or female, African American, Hispanic, of European ancestry or whatever, even whether religious or not. But I do especially care a whole lot if they are honest or not, are ethical or not, are sincere or not, seem to have real compassion with trustworthy values and I’ve learned, with a whole lot of current reinforcement, to look for enough genuine humility to temper their strong, self-focused egos. To me it seems obvious that whatever they say, like if ever asking someone if they are honest, just doesn’t mean much and simply isn’t a real indication of what they will do. Those values, while leaning towards being idealistic, have thankfully kept me from voting for Johnson, for Nixon and for George W. Bush (2000 & 2004).

To my way of thinking, the Republican Party today has put itself in a position where, all candidates included, their credibility is highly questionable and trusting them is near impossible. With their unwavering demonstration of total, continuing, belligerent and complete support for the Bush administration (while disregarding the gross dishonesty and the irresponsible concentration on a self-serving private agenda) they have simply declared, no matter what they say, that they really look to continue with ‘more of the same’. Take John McCain, who I think has more of the values mentioned above than any other Republican candidate, and recognize how in 2004 even he abandoned his principals and constituents to put his total support behind Bush. How can anyone put any faith in any of them?

Then there is Hillary and she simply doesn’t pass the test either. She gets a lot of meaningless criticism and then receives considerable support for a lot of things but never for the values mentioned above. She, like George W., demonstrates a strong, self-indulgent sociopathic personality that drives her to say/do whatever she thinks will get her what she wants, without ever having a conscience or anything more than self-concern. Her history, her complete self-focus and bold, combative, ‘I’m right, you’re wrong’ attitude says she also can be bought and controlled when her self-interests and ego are being satisfied. It seems that to trust her would be like ‘rolling the dice’.

Hopefully somewhere in the remainder there is some quality, some ‘cream that will come to the top’, that can give the people a real choice and some hope. God knows we need it!

I think this is another example of hand picked, dependent thinkers who respond instead of using their minds. Paul is "weak" on national security? Hardly. Ron Paul is the only one talking seriously about national security issues such as withdrawing from uneccessary regions where our presence is occupation to maintain an empire as opposed to "protecting" us, and he with Tancredo are the only ones talking seriously about controlling our boarders. Thats the way you would defend from a terrorist attack not by galavanting around the world playing into the hands of those who seek to do us harm by validating their reasons for "war on America." What exactly is being defended in the name of national security in Iraq or anywhere in the middle east? What happened to the days when "liberal" and "conservative" where dependent on either a loose or strict interpretation of the Constitution, which mandates "defense?" We cant nor would we be able to defend this country in the event something did happen with troops all over the world fighting an "enemy" that has been mostly artificially created using demagogery in an attempt to expand American influence and further turn what is suppose to be a Constitutional Republic into an authoritarian police state (and this extends far beyond the middle east). Im sorry, but there is a revolution coming and I believe Ron Paul is our only chance of having it pass peacfully. Thank you for your time.

I guess i consider myself a democrat but I must agree with some of the post in regards to Ron Paul. I watched the last republican debate and he was the only one up there who didn't seem to be pandering to a base whose values and ideas have been, and please forgive me i'm not speaking about all republican voters, shaped by the current administration. Because the Bush administration has put forth this idea that if you don't support invading and overthrowing any and every country in the Middle East then you are unpatriotic and weak. Ron Paul really seems to be trying to set republican voters back on the right track. I think Obama/Paul in 08 would be just the right thing to put this country back on track. It would put an end to devisive politics and help the country get out of this Republican vs. Democrat way of thinking

Edwards' new ad is hilarious because it's true. And you can't accuse him of going negative because he's only putting her words out there so everyone else can see what so many have known for a long time.

Well, that is crazy. In your attempt to make history (by having the first woman president), you would be voting for someone that will ultimately destroy the quality of the history for our children, grandchildren, etc. Women, I am all for women rights, but Hillary Clinton is just not the right person to lead this country. She won't even give a coherent answer on what she will do with Social Security. That is pretty darn important. And her vote for the Kyl-Lieberman bill, is precisely what has driven our gas prices through the roof. So before you cast your vote for Hillary Clinton, make sure you check your wallet and see how much is missing, and think about how much more her decisions affect poor and middle class people. I was told that if you consistently tell the truth you won't ever have to worry about getting caught in a lie. That is what happened at the debate, not because she is a woman, but b/c of her inconsistencies in her actions and words.

I thought that moderators were not supposed to be playing gotcha, but they do with Clinton. It's not right and not fair. But, she came through it and is still standing. She is the only one strong enough in either field to be president.
