Edwards is doing pretty well, although lek is correct that it's a waste of his time to take on Obama when the both men benefit the most from a third place Clinton finish in Iowa.

However, if Jesus were to run for President, it would actually create the most turmoil in the Republican party, not for Edwards; on one hand, conservative Christians would finally have a candidate to rally around, and on the other hand they'd be hesistant about his long hair and liberal policies of peace and forgiveness. Forced to make a decision, they'd probably err on the side of killing the guy.

Edwards is stating that he opposes the POSITION of Obama on Peru, and that Hillary Clinton needs to make her position known. Where, and Why, candidates stand on issuss is exactly what we need to hear from all the presidential candidates. It forms a good part of the basis of who we are to choose for president: to know what they support or don't support.

People should stop making childish comments about Edwards. He is pointing out where he stands, in contrast to where some of the other candidates stand. It is the best way for Edwards to appeal to us. You can reject Edwars on the basis of his positions, but not on the basis of his challenging other candidates on their positions. What do you want to know about these candidates when you go to vote?

Being critical of one another is harmful to the Democrats in winning in 2008. Americans want to know specifics about dealing with issues most important to them. Should focus on defining failed/harmful Bush policies, & what specific action(s)they propose to correct same. Each candidate must promote a positive message on what the Democratics stand for versus the flawed stand, & related actions of this Republican Administration. As far as I'm concerned the "debates" have been nonsense, & thus useless.
