Fred, as you say, loss of confidence in our government is not good. And that loss is directly the responsibility and the result of GW Bush, Dick Cheney, and the Republican Party's lack of leadership. The Republicans held the majority in Congress until the 2006 election and even now are barely in the minority thus giving further support to the divisive, disastrous policies of this President. The Republican field of candidates, with the exception of Ron Paul, would do nothing but continue Bush's agenda. Rudy G. and his neocon staff are hoping to further enrage the Middle east with another ill conceived war with Iran. The Republicans have no agenda other than fear and war. They stand for nothing positive and have no platform other than attacking Hillary Clinton. For a political party so bereft of ideas and so narrowly focused, it's no wonder the American people are so skeptical of a candidate, you Fred Thompson, who has stood 100% behind the policies of this Administration. You mention having a President who represents all of the people. GW Bush has never understood that concept and never intended to represent anyone other than his narrow, conservative, monied base. Where has your voice been all these years, Fred. You've supported this President without question. Why would we want more of the same?

Yet another FAILURE on the part of the republiCANT party, jerry.
RAY-GUN was the one who originated the amnesty plan for illegals. I think it was back in '86.' It led to 10's of thousands MORE illegals coming into the country, instead of curtailing illegal imigrations as it was intended to do.
It's funny that Bush 43 also worked on legislation when he was Governor of Texas, to include illegals in the Texas Public School System, and in the healthcare "system" as well.

Fred is the only candidate that has actually been coming up with ways to tackle several of our country's problems, while the other candidates have been busy arguing about who would be better to fight Hillary...as far as I know, she hasn't been chosen just yet and they're only wasting our time.

Fred provides the sources and links on his site to each point that he brings up on the other candidates records...something that I think is fair game if they want to run as being the best choice for this country. He hasn't launched any personal attacks on any candidate.

I try to research each of the candidates and make my choices based on what they actually do, not what they promise to do or which candidate the msm decides to try to steer the votes.

I know that Fred delivered on his Senate campaign promises, which helped elect him a 2nd time by an even larger margin.

Personally, I don't care if people consider him to be dull...I'd much rather have what you consider to be a dull President that can do the job well, then an entertaining candidate that has no substance behind it.

I just hope folks will do their research on all of the candidates, rather than letting the media decide for you. (If you don't believe me...watch Fox and the coverage they've given Giuliani vs. Thompson...then tell me they're "fair and balanced")
