The assumption that Mike will garner votes only from Mitt and not from Rudy is silly. Mitt and Mike will have a lot of the evangelical vote already, I think it will be the fred voters who will be changing the numbers and I don't see many of them voting for Rudy, and Rudy is in for a drubbing when the news gets more specific about Bernie and company. Remember, those energizer batteries don't last forever.

With the latest dialogue coming from either direction, I can't tell if Mitt has converted to Evangelical Christianity, or the Evangelicals have converted to Mormonism. anyone with an ounce of brains should be able to figure out that giuliani is nothing more than an egotistical moron who is totally impressed with himself. just what has he done, that ebtitles him to blow his horn so loudly? he acts as if he is some kind of a hero because he walked the streets of new york city with with a mask on and attended a bunch of funerals. does he not realize it's because of him that so many lives were lost. he was warned by many department heads after the first world trade center bombing in the early 90's to move the command center out of the world trade center because it was at risk if another attempt was made to destroy these buildings. but, because he thinks he knows more than everybody else, he refused to do that. we all know what happened because of this. after the towers were hit and all hell broke loose, communications between the police depts, the fire depts, and other security depts was non existent. all because of his stupidity. and yet, he, like bush is trying to make people believe that he is some kind of a hero. why are the fire dept and police dept talking against him if he was so great. he killed more of these brave people than anyone at any time, similar to what bush has done to our men and women in this fiasco in iraq. they are both banking on the fact that there are still people out there will stay with them simply because of their party affiliation. what a shame. guiliani can't control his own personal life let alone the lives 0f 300 million people. then there's his good friend, bernard kerik,but, that's another story. sounds more like bush every day. we should all remember, we are not electing a president of new york city, we're electing a president of the "united states"

It will be a very sad day for America if Giuliani becomes the GOP candidate for the 2008 election. For someone who claims to be a Republican, who has been married three times, held extramarital affairs, and is currently estranged from his kids seems hardly as a model for leader of the U.S. On the other hand, since we've already elected Bush twice to that post... like Alfred E. Romney has the good looks and charisma to separate himself from the rest of the field, and his organization really knows how to work the local markets in the primary states. He attracts pro business types who look at him as being more than a politician. His campaighn slogan about "change" is ballsy and a great point of difference. He will win the first three primaries and then be on a roll. I like Obama, myself, but Romney has his act together (and very little dirty laundry)and will pull away from the rest of the field of losers

I'm still not sure who I prefere as our President. These are really very difficult and dangerous times. But I know I would rather have anyone but Hillary Clinton or John Edwards to lead us. We do need someone who truly will be strong against our enemies, and I really hope that the American people can see that. I am looking for the one that will truly do just that.
