Actually it isn't even "The Woodstock Museum". It's "The Museum at Bethel Woods". It sits on the site of the Woodstock Festival only because that's where the land was available. Although it does have an aspect of being a '60s museum due to the location it's primarily meant to be a promotion of the Arts. And the $1M sponsored by HRC represents something like 10% of the construction price. In other words comparing this to "the bridge to nowhere" is complete and total BS in every way possible.

No money, no issues that seperate him from the White House, others getting endorsments, this is a desperate attempt to move him up the scale. If he doesn't get at least fouth in Iowa he is toast. NH will be his political Waterloo.
We all know there is waste in DC John, it is what we are angry about, The thing is what would you do about it, Line item veto? Tax cut? corporate tax credits? drive the dollar down? Who are you borrowing money from?

Uhh, $233 million for a bridge to nowhere sought by a Republican Senator Ted Stevens (probably soon to be under indictment like his son). Even assuming the $3 million was sought by a Democrat, the ratio is 233 to 4. That means 98% of the examples pertain to Repugnicants. Brilliant move, Mr. Lincoln National Savings and Loan.

I wonder if John McCain ever visited Bethel?
I know more about the Bethel Woods project than the average bear. I led a group of historic preservationists who tried to stop the development of the original Woodstock Site which sits in the centert of Bethel Woods. In spite of the fact that we fought against permanent structures being placed on 38 acres of deemed “historic land”, we were very much in favor of Bethel Woods itself.
The ecomony and growth that is so much needed in that area cannot be denied. With $17 million NY State tax $$$ already put into this project, and plans already underway to bring public sewer lines using federal tax grants - spending $1 million more $$ to help make such an area even more inviting??? Well, I think we spend more money on less needed reasons.
So, I guess John McCain hasn’t been to Bethel, and if he has = it hasn’t been lately. He would have seen that this funny, haha, Woodstock Museum money was being used for a bunch of peoples better good IN OUR OWN COUNTRY
