Edwards knew Clinton and what she is really about while serving in the senate. And since he is not in the senate anymore, is free of having to show or pretend unity with a nominee he obviously feels is unsuited to the job and has things about her that makes him uncomfortable.
Many democrats feel the same as Edwards. Like myself. I do not trust or feel Hillary should be president and has many things about her that causes alot of unease and I will not vote for her at all. Hillary does not represent what a democrat is and is not about anything other than the promoting and glory of Hillary.
I would love to see Edwards team up with Obama to keep this woman from the nomination for the good of the party and the good of the country.

edwards must be doing pretty good since the press is writing negative articles about him again, to the corporate owned media edwards is seen as someone who wants the corporate lobbyists taken down a few notches in d.c., that does not fit their agenda of business as usual.

edwards has the best plans on all the major issues, geared toward the consumer, removing the monopoly status of big business and promoting true competition in the market place, something that is often touted but never truly seen in this country.

I will be voting for edwards because he is not afraid to 'tell it like it is' something the other so called frontrunners have a real problem doing.

Bunny - I think if Obama wins the nomination, it will be almost impossible to find a nominee to beat him. All in all, Giuliani probably has a better shot than Thompson, but it will still be an uphill battle either way, given the combination of Obama's record and his likeability; the idea that he's inexperienced is a Clinton campaign narrative that will die with her candidacy if she loses the primary, as Obama has more time in elected office than any of the top three candidates in either party.

In my opinion, at this point, I think you guys should go with a Paul nomination; just go for the long shot, and even if you lose, you've helped mend the GOP brand in the long term. Otherwise, with another George W. Bush Republican as the nominee most Americans are never going to view Republicans as the party of individual freedom, fiscal responsibility, or small government again.

Barely two years after the Cuban Missle Crisis nearly punched all of our tickets, the thought that Goldwater would precipitate war with USSR was more than most Americans could take. Whatever one may think of the Democratic candidates' policies or morals, they are in fact seen as stable emotionally.

This would bode better for Mitt, but he is considered unelectable as a result of the religious issue and his radical transformation on domestic and foreign policy. Once again, not stable.

Actually, power people like Hillary's non-answers and the obvious superior intelligence of the Democratic pack this year.

They see an administration with Obama, the Clintons, Edwards, perhaps Gore and Richardson to name just a few. These are bankable names and some of them are even boffo at the box office.

After the last 7 years the power folks are taking no chances and no prisoners.

The GOP brand in 2008 is as dead as your father's Oldsmobile.

What is happening now in the Democratic field has more to do with strategy and potentially shifting power blocs than polls... the only poll to watch for awhile is all about Iowa.

This is another case where polls are stale when they come out...

watch and listen... Iowa.

Up till now, nearly 75% of people have not made up their mind; yet, Mr. Van keeps pushing polls on us. I guess he is using the same strategy perfected by mark Penn - strategy of manipulation.

We all know Clinton’s campaign cannot survive the scrutiny. Evidence shows how they’ve been planting questions in IOWA – perhaps they are doing the same in NH. Why should we trust her if she can’t even take question from ordinary citizen without testing it in the poll.

I definitely don't use the Bible as a guide for views on global warming and there would be those who say I don't use it for anything else either. I also don't place my faith in evangementalists like Al Gore either.

In the cases of both the bible and the "scientific consensus" on global warming I claim no final answers, don't believe anyone else can and believe both to be subject to great interpretation.

Hope my rhetorical questions didn't come across as "putting up the dukes", though it's hard to avoid that interpretation in the First Read context.
