Last question to Paul AGAIN framed as "you can't win"... Dr. Paul handled it with aplomb and knocked it out of the park.
The Youtube questioners were at the debate as well. The "independent Ron Paul supporter" was interviewed afterwards (again, attempting to reinforce the defeatist mindset) on the cnn.com live feed. Who paid to have these guys flown in from all over the country and what other perks did they get? Cool thing about the 'net is, we're going to find out!

This "debate" was awful. Where do I begin? Too much focus on immigration, too little focus on the war, too many stilted questions that were directed at certain candidates, way too much Giuliani and Romney--many times above their "poll" superiority. These metrics you show are disingenuous because they cite "first part of the debate." Well, I can tell you that Giuliani and Romney had much more time than these metrics show (over the course of the whole debate). I will find the exact metrics somewhere else, and send you them so you can update your information.

Now, will someone in the mainstream media realize that there is a huge market available for listening to the people, versus the corporate creed? You know what I'm talking about--think of McDonalds, Ford, and many other businesses that focused on popular needs.

Like others have mentioned the lack of attention paid to Hunter, Tancredo and Paul was very poor judgment on CNN's part. Seemed like the debate rewarded bonus time to those who were rude and kept cutting in (Romney and Giuliani did this most often).

I think that Cooper should have done more to handle McCain's attack on Ron Paul. The attack he made had nothing to do with the question asked to McCain, and Cooper should have pointed that out.

Cooper failed routinely to be strong enough with the candidates in getting them to stop on time. All of them went over here and there, but Giuliani and Romney went way over the line repeatedly.

Ron Paul's response to this "unfair" treatment: "I recognize the rights of private property owners. This is their property. They can use it any way they wish." What a guy! His consistency is unreal. If somebody else besides Ron Paul would have raised almost $10M in about two months, nearly half during a 24hrs period, I bet you all I have that this person would have gotten much more speaking time than what Dr. Ron Paul got yesterday. Especially since that money was raised by individuals contributing relatively small amounts - it was not raised from large contributions by corporations.

I've also noted that some of the candidates start to "copy" Ron Paul's ideals. I don't believe them one second because many have a record of flip-flopping around quiet frequently, while Ron Paul has an excellent constitutional 10 term voting record to prove it.

THIS is the voice of the American people, we are not sheep and we can see through all these attempts to marginalize the only candidate that is for the people! one of the major problems as I see it is that everybody who is responding to the fallacy that was the "debate" last night is fairly educated and motivated (for whatever reasons) to speak their mind about the unfairness of the democratic process as it is currently being endeavoured by the MSM. so now how do we get this message to the vast majority of people who do not have access to the internet, or if they do, they are not motivated to circumvent MSM to get information about candidates, and as such only have the MSM as sources of information upon which to base their votes?

in other words, everybody who is gunning for a less partial presentation of the republican (and demoncratic for that matter) leadership races by the MSM already knows about the larger issues at stake that make this presentation a joke. unfortunately, most people are not as enlightened and do not understand this and take what the MSM presents uncritically and at face value. so, how do you get (I dare say) less educated, less interested and/or less motivated people to buy into the idea that the MSM is essentially "fixing" the leadership races and, perhaps more importantly, to recognize and potentially break free from the rhetoric that is spewed from the mouths of most candidates most of the time?

Not only that, the idiotic question at the end about baseball was the last straw. The only thing I'll miss is CSPAN, PBS and Discovery channel. Everything else is mind-numbing, dumbed-down crap.

I think every single candidate deserves to have equal time speaking. The few questions directed at Ron Paul were ludicrous and intended to make fun of him. If we were having a fair election, Paul would be at the top. He wins every straw poll, and the world overwhelmingly supports him (other countries).

I am absolutely flummoxed regarding all the posts regarding last nights debate and Dr. Ron Paul! Wow!!

I found this site just by cruising through some different websites and it is so refreshing to see so many of my fellow Americans supporting Ron Paul! (And I'm a lifelong Democrat BTW).

To me, the highlight of last nights debate was when CNN finally showed Ron Paul's video (which showed thousands of supporters at different rallys holding a giant banner saying, "Ron Paul Revolution") and Anderson Cooper asked, "What is this all about?"

Ron Paul (and I'm paraphrasing here) said, "The American People love liberty! They want our troops out of Iraq! They want a sound economy and they want their civil rights! You don't understand...there's a REVOLUTION happening and you can't even see it coming!!" I read an article on Rense.com tonight that said there were people in the streets supporting Ron Paul last night BLOCKS LONG!! Even Giuliani said to Ron Paul, "Wow. You have a lot of supporters out there!"

God how I wish this clip could be up-loaded to YouTube. I'd forward it to everyone I know and encourage them to contribute to his campaign. I have and I'm about to give him more $$. I'm also contributing to Dennis Kucinich.

And the Virginia State Board of Elections is now making Republican voters sign "loyalty" pledges to support the Republican primary nominee in the General Election--a tactic that was employed years ago when Perot inflicted damage. They are fearful that the popular will (a convergence of diverse voters) may override the Party Bosses' selections and the Party's own relevance. Too bad for them.

Finally, this election is not about Ron Paul. It is about process, openness, and popular thrust for change. The voters must be able to trust the result and partake in the process with reasonable surety that their vote counts.

However they are also wrong, in that Dr. Paul has already won the election. How so? Because he has changed the course of American politics by resetting both the agenda and the rules of the debate. Try to imagine, even four years ago, any "libertarian" candidate being included in nationally televised debates even once, let alone multiple times.
