I like Edwards. He didn't cover up for Mark Foley or Randy Craig or Duke Cunningham or Abramoff He doesn't lie about torture, domestic spying, WMD or Pat Tilman's death. He's never shot someone in the face. He didn't get five deferrments(my god, what a coward) or duck out on his Guard service. And he hasn't failed for six years to get Bin Laden, "dead or alive".

This is a "change" election, right? So let's turn a complete 180 from the policies of King George by putting a real Democrat into the White House. John Edwards represents the best of the PARTY OF THE PEOPLE (which gave us the GI Bill, Social Security, and Civil Rights) because he understands how power and money corrode democracy. Last night on Charlie Rose, he was eloquent about breaking the stranglehold corporate lobbyists have on Washington--a grip that has given us such treasures as NAFTA (all the benefits of silent U.S. factories, slave labor in China, and poisoned toys!), the bloated Medicare prescription drug benefit, and Halliburton's profits in Iraq. While I like Obama, his tendency to speak like a college professor won't serve him well against a take-no-prisoners Republican. Edwards is earthy, articulate, and fast-on-his-feet, and his commitment to middle- and working-class Americans is firm. In my swing state (Ohio), independents liked him a whole lot more than they liked Kerry four years ago; he can win this state, unlike Hillary. I hope people in Iowa and SC realize how scrappy, southern, and eminently electable John Edwards really is.

Edwards is right about that wall. I'm 100% behind him. He is very earnest in "taking America back" from corporates, and they will fight like heck to keep him out of DC.
