Clinton's campaign has be pulling this crap since this spring, and not from only low level volunteers. In March high ups in her campaign told people impressed with Richardson that they shouldn't support him, because "he was a skirt chaser", (talk about hypocrisy), at least since this summer they told people who said they were impressed with Biden he was in his mid 70's, he was 64 at the time, and is less than 5 years older than Hillary. With Obama they would say that their polling data shows the country is not yet ready for an African American President. I have no clue what they say about Dodd. With Edwards they have warned that if Elizabeth's health took a turn for the worse after he was the nominee he would be in a no win position. If he stayed by her side (as he should-they would say) he would he lose valuable campaign time, and if he didn't stay by her side, he would lose support from women.

It's sad, local media has known about these reports for months, but have been reluctant to publish the stories without the type of proof one rarely has (the actual script volunteers read, a taped phone call etc.). I hope my fellow Iowans reward this behavior by revolting against her!

This kind of trash has been going on from their campaign for months behind the scenes with little but a whisper by the news media. I have read this trash being passed around by her supporters. I was hoping, like Stopwatchingfoxnews, that this was just isolated cases of overzealous supporters, but now that I see that the same filth is coming from Clinton's own campaign staff I know where this type of trash from her supporters has been coming from all along. One final point, the email in question was originally sent back on Nov. 15. This raises serious questions: How long has the Clinton campaign known about the email before they acted on it today? How many other similar emails did these campaign staffers/volunteers send out after Nov. 15 but before today?

i was old enough to remember the first clinton campaign. i liked mr. clinton. i voted for him. i can say truthfully that the tactics you all are seeing that keep getting disclaimers from hillary's campaign are the same footprints used when mr.clinton ran.

I don't doubt that is true, because you probably never had a Clinton staffer call you and ask who would you support if the caucus were held today, and answered I'm leaning Obama, Edwards, Richardson, or Biden. Unless you did why would they trash any other candidate. I assume that they are doing a hatchet job on Dodd as well, but I haven't heard anything. My parents were personally told the "skirt chasing" by a very high up in the Clinton campaign. They've known the women for 30 years and I'm sure she wasn't worried they would turn her in.

The lies about Biden's age are being told in calls through out the state, not just the Cedar Rapids /Iowa City area. You can believe it's by chance that people in Independence, Sioux City, Mason City, Burlington have all been told lies about Biden's age by chance and not as part of a coordinated effort, but sorry I don't buy that.

The stuff about Obama is being spread by Clinton's camp in rural Iowa, less so in larger communities where the risk of back firing is greater.

Carrie, you won't believe anything bad about Hillary even if you see it with your own eyes. Have fun caucusing for her, and when all the crap comes out about the under the radar dirty tricks comes out, allow yourself to believe "everyone does it". This whole story makes me think of a story my mother tells of my younger sister and I. Mom would come into the room after hearing my sister start crying, to see me holding a toy away from her and about to punch her. I got in trouble several times for this "Bullying" my sister. One day Mom happens to watch my sister come into the room I was playing in, check to see if she could see Mom, and then go over to me, grab at my toy and sock me, she then sat down and started crying her head off. My Mom came in, having seen the whole thing of course, and grabs up my sister asking her "What do you think you are doing young woman?" to which my sister replied "But He hit me back First!!"

I am a volunteer with the Obama campaign in Minnesota. I have worked on the campaign, first as a grassroots volunteer with an ad hoc organization, and now in conjunction with the staff now on the ground since Obama announced in January '07. We have always discussed the other candidates with integrity. In fact, we have been strictly advised that we are not to denigrate the other candidates in any way. I say this because the kind of problem experienced by the Clinton campaign as described above is systemic--it speaks for the larger organization. If this person, who was apparently well-versed in politics since she is a county chair, forwarded this hateful email to 8 persons, knowing it was untrue and a smear and that if discovered, it would be a problem and did it anyway, it is because of the culture of the campaign. This is the same culture that planted questions.

When I was a volunteer at a speech Obama gave in Waverly, Iowa I asked the local Iowa staffer if I could ask Barack a question about energy that I personally was interested in. The staffer told me that people associated with the campaign (I had my Obama t-shirt on) could not ask questions of Obama during the forum because it might give the appearance of a planted question. I waited until after the forum and gave my question in writing to one of Obama's aides.

The campaign was obviously going to make certain no questions were planted or even given the appearance of a plant.

This is the difference in the two campaigns. One stands for integrity and one for politics as usual. Which would you choose?

According to the Muslim bylaws once you are Muslim, you are a Muslim; If you are borne from a parent (s) that are Muslim you are Muslim. I have a concern about Obama; specifically his use of cocaine. Why is this a non- issue? Is it ok for the president of the United States to be a confessed felon? How many times did he use cocaine?
