The Republicans still have their Clinton war swords from the 90's, and if Hillary were exposed to them it would be a slaughter.

Another poll: Obama up in SC

Gross. He's too disgusting like a pig. I think I'll be voting for Hillary instead.

Another poll: Obama up in SC

Nice work Obama!!! Let's see what Hillary has to say to Katie Curic now? I said it before and I'll say it again, if Hillary gets the nomination "Good-bye Democratic party", forever! Andrea from FL hit the nail on the head, squarely! Hillary is running on the fact that she was first lady, she failed at everything she put her hand to during that time and she only won New York because Rudy bowed out. The audacity of her to question Obama's experience when she has done utterly squat! for the downtrodden. In fact she was the one to convince Bill Clinton on Don't Ask Don't Tell and Welfare Reform. Both policies are based in hatred and is NOT "well thought-through legislation". Again, it is her lack of sincerity and a vulgar notion that she is owed the presidency that gets me. I also hate the fact that we have seen this same attitude of entitlement in the dry-drunk Bush Jr. We don't need 8 years of Hillary just because her surname is Clinton. Imagine when coke snorting Jenna Bush thinks she gets a chance at the throne! AAAAHHHHHH!

"Obama please save this beautiful country from these war-mongering pigs!"

Another poll: Obama up in SC

"Edwards is the better bet, and a great personality for the presidency to lead the country in the ways it needs to go, without being scapegoated because of gender and race."

You do understand that Edwards is an ambulance chaser who became filthy rich buy bringing bogus law suits using discredited science (eg. cerebral palsey is not caused by OB/GYNs)- the net result of which was to raise health care costs and drive numerous OB docs from N. Instead of looking at our country's performance in 4 year increments, we should look at our country's situation over the last 20 years. Have we gained more personal freedoms or have lost more personal freedoms? Has government grown in size and power over our individul lives? Have taxes grown or shrunk? Have we seen more return for our taxes or less? Has our influence as indiviuals over government policies diminished or grown? For the most part, when it comes to MACRO issues like the Iraq war, government spending and oversight the United States has become something like a giant Cruise ship. The everyday person is just along for the ride. We're allowed to eat, drink and be merry just as long as we stay out of the engine room. It doesn't matter who is at the wheel, whether Republican or Democrat because neither is really charting the course. Ours is a country that is controlled and manipulated by folks who aren't even on the ship. For instance even we don't print our money which is one of the hallmarks of sovreignity!!! Obama is the answer. Hopefully, people who grew disillusioned with politics get the message. Also, the African-American community has got to support him. It amazes me that many are still siding with Hillary. Some are saying it shouldn't be race based. Please! This is a historic moment that needs to be seized. Besides, being in Chicago many African-American aldermen are so bad and so corrupt they only win because of the support of their respective communities.
Side with a great politician who can rally everybody regardless of their race because of his great message. Vote O'bama, a true star who can reinvigorate this country. So, with a very fond adieu, I can't wait to copy and paste this for all of you poor, misguided souls soon.

Another poll: Obama up in SC

rasmussen poll was 3 weeks old. a week ago.check dateline on poll.

Another poll: Obama up in SC

to diane, what does race have to do with it? it shouldn't matter if a person is a woman, black, white asian, indian or whatever. the quality of character and other factors should not race or gender.

THE ONLY WAY RACE MATTERS IS IS A PERSON IS RACIST.

            sincerely, proud independent

Another poll: Obama up in SC

I'm often one to say we shouldn't over-react to polls, because if one thing is true of them, their numbers change. But as you get closer to the day, their significance increases - I know, I know, master of the obvious.

We're not close yet, but gettting there. The biggest thing I've seen in these numbers is an inability of Edwards to move. Forget New Hampshire, as that's a terrible state for him. But given his headstart in Iowa and ties to SC, his numbers in both aren't great right now.

I know he has to ride this out through Iowa, just to take a shot at something big happening there. And he has to focus his efforts on trying to make that happen. He has to win that caucus, and probably can't even survive a close win. But he probably needs to win South Carolina, too, just to give his campaign the bump it would need to then transition into a national campaign.

In some ways, Biden and Richardson almost seem in better position to pull the phoenix thing, like Huckabee. Edwards seems to have gotten the worst of both worlds - he's not fresh, getting covered as a sorta front runner for a year, and he's not organized, getting the resources of someone who is only moderately above the other second tier candidates.

Another poll: Obama up in SC

body odor comment is in bad taste for any candidate.

Another poll: Obama up in SC

RED in SC,

OK. So, end of story, end of issue. Stop repeating Republican (or more likely Clinton) talking points, especially when they're so easily refuted.

Regarding the swearing-in using the Koran: Ummm, I'm pretty sure you're just making this up, but it could be that you're ignorant enough to be confusing Obama with Rep.
