A lot has changed over the past two weeks and Huckabee’s lead has now grown to double digits.

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of the Iowa caucus finds Huckabee with 39% of the vote, Romney with 23% support, and everyone else in single digits. Rudy Giuliani and Fred Thompson get just 8% of the vote in Iowa at this time. Arizona Senator John McCain is at 6% just one point ahead of Congressman Ron Paul.

Huckabee’s support in Iowa is up eleven points from the poll conducted in late November. Over the past month, Huckabee has more than doubled his support from 16% on November 12 to 39% today. Romney has lost two points from the previous survey and is down six points over the past month.

Huckabee also leads in South Carolina, is tied for the lead in Michigan, and is near the top with Rudy Giuliani in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll. Results for the latest polling in New Hampshire will be released later this week."

http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/iowa/republican_iowa_caucus

I'm a democrat, a Clinton supporter and not saying that Huckabee is going to win the republican nomination, but Huckabee's meteoric rise in Iowa, and now nationally, that is the BIG story of this election cycle. The guy is competing against the field with empty pockets and starting to leave them in his dust. It's truly remarkable and, whatever your opinion of him as a person or a candidate, a testament to the power of an individual to transcend the popular wisdom by sheer force of personality. YOUR CITY will be economically drained too if we don't take action and demand our leaders save our country. THIS is why we have a border so our country and our way of life is secured. Past immigration from around the world helped build this nation, uncontrolled illegal immigration is ruining this nation.

Huckabee leads in GA

Mike Huckabee is leading in Georgia. This after we are beginning to see the real policies and beliefs of this man. Segregation for people with AIDS? Hate cubans ..oh, now love them (a vote is a vote, right?). Gay people are all sinners ... Before he took over AR it was ranked 48-49th and is still ranked 48-49th! He left office at the end of last year. And he is definitely pandering the illegal immigrants so their supporters can vote for him enmasse. His flat tax pretty much leaves in the Fed-IRS mess we are! Not sure what is so appealing about him as a statesman. Yes, he can definitely send you home without touching the real issue with a holier than you after taste. Yes, he is good salesman, can speak like a real politician but then we already have a bunch of them in DC.
