And with everyting riding on US foreign policy why would we nominate a lightwieght like Obama?? Let him serve out a term or two in the US Senate and then let's have him run. . .Geez it just doesn't make sense to back a guy who has so little governemnt experience, he is focusing on hype and celebrity and these will not carry him through to the White House. The more I learn about Joe, the more I am impressed and inspired. I am counting on you Iowa, to build the momentum for Joe Biden as your #1, so that when my home state's primary comes around on Feb. 5, people will not be hesitant to vote for Joe. People here agree that his credentials make him the superior choice for the nomination, and most agree that his plan to end the war in Iraq and other policy statements are right. However, people here are hesitant or will not vote for Joe Biden because they want to vote for a frontrunner. Iowa, I ask you, please make Joe a frontrunner. It's bewildering and frustrating that we aren't seeing in the polls the kind of love for Joe that we see in this thread. What is likewise frustrating is all this Obama support. Can an Obama supporter please explain to us WHY he deserves this job? I understand that one can easily project a kind of modern (i.e. african-american) JFK fantasy onto him, but other than that and this empty "hope" business what is there to vote for?

Who'll get Des Moines Register nod?

DMR wasted their endorsement power.
