Sandy Cope, Barboursville, VA, if you think that being disabled due to war is a free ride, come on down I beg you to try it!!!!!!!-----What disgusts me the most about this current fiasco in Iraq and this administration is they want people to give their life but yet don't want to do it themselves. This should and is a national issue bet yet when you approach someone about it they say OH!! I have not given it much thought. Soldiers are losing their lives and or coming home disabled and people in this country just plain don't give a damn. My comment about being a game is just that people play video games and do not realize that the soldiers are playing a for real life deal. I would like you to try walking in the shoes of a veteran fresh off combat. Better yet why don't you volunteer at your local VA hospital. The repuk party felt it was cool and funny calling people who have fought and do not agree with this administration unpatriotic-hence my comment about patriotic-one who is willing to give their life for this country-you can not get anymore patriotic than that. My disdain for Steve King is right the man is crazy, he is out of step with reality, I see what the man does for the state of Iowa and a lot of it has been an embarrasement. The majority of the people in this country really don't know what the soldiers are going through-so please go volunteer at the VA hospital. Until you try it don't knock it.
