I really think that people should take a look at what Rudy did in NYC prior to 9/11. Kept a lid on spending, reduced crime... I mean you could walk in Times Square again without fear of being mugged. Cleaning the city up was not easy and required hard choices. Not everyone was happy with the way they were carried out, however results speak for themselves. NYC is a better, cleaner and economically stronger city because of Rudy. It would be interesting to have a president that was trully concerned about spending. Our current one doesn't seem to care.

He also lowered tax rates and, for those of you who consider yourselves “open-minded”, during his mayoralty gays and lesbians in New York received domestic-partnership rights. The presidency is about being able to solve problems and deal with things efficiently. It is not a TV show, and those of you who assess a candidate based on how beautiful his smile is or on whether his moves are nice on stage, well, you should be really proud of your level of intelligence.

Hillary is a smart, accomplished, caring woman...she is extremely hard working and she has already proven she is loyal...she kept her marriage together, she has gone thru the trial by fires and come out with her head high and self respect and she just keeps trying...she is a fighter...all of this and she is ready to put positive changes in motion on day one...I for one cannot believe the energy she has...this week alone under all this criticism she is walking thru the snow in NH going door to door to meet people and doing a blitz in Iowa to reach people so they can see for themselves that she is not the monster the MSM is trying to force on us...she is someone that deserves our respect...I watched her at three different events on c-span this weekend and this woman explains things in detail...forget all this emphasis on personalities...listen to the details of what the candidates are saying...you don't have to like her, but give her a chance...think with your brain...we can all learn a lot from her...and if you are a dem, you won't have to vote for rudy... if we stick together, the dems are going to win this time but we have to stop fighting each other...

On Dec 7th 1941 we were attacked and FDR declared war the next day. On Sept 11th 2001 we were attacked in 3 states, not just NYC. We were attacked not by a country, but by an act of terrorism, driven by a radical religion. Rudy was Mayor of NYC then, he is no longer Mayor. He sense of "protecting" us from further attacks are way off base. We have NOT been attacked since then. We should not have to pander to the useless UN for direction on how to protect ourselves. Iowa is not NYC and most of us do not believe that "big city" rules belong here. We do not have garbage pickup strikes, transit strikes, mobs running offices, loose port inspections. The main population of New York do not live in NYC, it is a beautiful state, but I bet they, as a majority, do not support the Former Mayor of NYC. I, myself am for John McCain , because I believe in his principals. I believe, because I want a better,safer country for my children and grandchildren. He can transend all the bickering between parties and get something done for all of us.
