I'm trying to decide between two candidates: Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee. It's really tough to decide. Both candidates have comparable educational backgrounds that qualify them to lead the United States (Huckabee's bachelor degree in religion from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia is roughly equivalent to Romney's cum laude law degree and Baker scholar MBA degree from Harvard, right?). Both candidates served as governors of states that face equally complex problems (Arkansas, with its population of 2.8 million and gross state product of $87 billion, is pretty much the same as Massachusetts, with its population of 6.4 million and gross state product of $318 billion, right?). Both candidates have pre-political experience that qualify them to be President (Huckabee was a pastor of several Southern Baptist churches in Arkadelphia, Texarkana, and Pine Bluff, Arkansas and served as president of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention; no doubt equal to Romney's founding and taking of Bain Capital from a $37M fund to a $50B fund in 20 years and rescuing the 2002 Olympics). "Yes I think [the U.S. is bankrupt] because if you look at our long term fiscal obligations and compare them with our tax receipts that are projected to come in, you end up finding the difference in present value is equal to $63 trillion. This is according to an update of a U.S Treasury study. So it is not an academic study but rather a government study.

"To come with $63 trillion in present value, you would have to have an immediate and permanent roughly 70 percent hike in federal corporate and personal income taxes. Alternatively you could immediately double the payroll tax. So we are talking about gargantuan adjustments here, huge problems that we are facing, and a lot of this has to do with the fact that the society is aging. We are currently facing 33 million people over 65. But when the Boomers retire there will be about 77 million people over 65. And we are currently handing out per old person roughly $30,000 on average in Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid benefits. But when the Boomers retire we are going to be paying them a lot higher level of benefits because these benefit levels continue to grow much more rapidly than wages per worker. So think about 77 million Baby Boomers getting roughly $40,000 per head, and you see the magnitude of the problem. We are talking trillions of dollars. $44,000 times 77 million is a very big number. It is in the trillions, A couple trillion dollars a year in obligations. So I do not think it is an exaggeration to say the country is bankrupt."

Importantly, Huckabee is not a fiscal conservative, he is a fiscal liberal. It does not mean that Huckabee will give less money to "Big Money Men." In fact, Gov. Huckabee took spending from $6 billion to $16 billion, his incompetence in money will probably benefit Big Money Men the most. When people are handing out money, the way Huckabee did as Governor, “Big Money Men” are pretty good at getting the biggest cut. The last thing America needs is a president that will triple the national deficit. Romney has the business know how to change Washington. So vote for your “liberal Huckabee,” the candidate that is the best preacher, guitar player, and spendthrift. I will vote for the one with an actual resume and has a fiscal conservative record. Both Romney and Huckabee have problems with “liberal” pasts on social issues. The difference is Romney has acknowledges he was wrong while Huckabee continues to justify himself. He put 12 murders back on our street and over 1000 tried criminals. He also had a rapist released who killed a woman after his release. There is no excuse and no apology from Gov. Huckabee. Lastly, why should the “less fortunate” citizens of our nation have to compete against illegal immigrants for college scholarships, admissions, and in-state tuition, (money provided by our tax dollars)? That is what Huckabee recommended as Governor. Getting into College is competitive enough and money is limited. I think this shows Huckabee’s great disrespect for the American Tax dollar. I do not pay taxes to make it harder for my children to go to college.

I am very concerned particularly about Huckabee's extremely liberal record of pardoning and commutation record as Governor of Arkansas. In response, Huckabee argued that he received more requests than did Governor Romney and rejected 78 percent of them. To me, his defense is just as glaring. If I were a criminal in Arkansas I would definitely appeal to the Governor. After all the appeal processes that currently exist in our judicial system, under Huckabee, I would still have a twelve percent chance of having my sentence pardoned or commutated. That might be why Governor Huckabee had to answer so many requests.

Romneys real problem. Many people that have been raised as Christians know of the theological clash between evangelical Christians and Mormons. The war has been going on since Joseph Smith broke out of jail and shot people while attempting to escape. Joseph Smith, The Mormon Prophet, had his brainstorm to somehow, cash in on the religious fervor of the day. He tried 'money digging" and went to court over the fraud. Miraculously, in a vision of an angel appeared to him and taught him how he was to lead the" only true church on earth" because "all other churches are corrupt" Christians are told ( and I paraphrase) that We are not to respect or believe any gospel that is taught that does not agree with the teachings of a Bible, EVEN IF AN ANGEL OF LIGHT DELIVERS THEM. Christians are not to honor any book that adds , or takes away,from the inspired word of God, the Bible. Mormons believe that the book of Mormon and their other "holy" books are an addendum to the Bible and place them on the same plane as the Bible. Their holy books teach of entire people and civilizations that science has proven have NEVER EXISTED. ( Check with the Smithsonian) While the Bible is used as a historical and geographical guide. Their books promote polygamy, and the inadequate character of people of color to hold high office in the "Priesthood".While many of these doctrines have been changed through "Revelation" (read Their god changed his mind,) our God is unchanging. Joseph Smith taught that people populated the moon and looked like Quakers ( he never figured that we `d get there) The Bible teaches us that if we encounter a "so called prophet his test will be " if he ever utters anything that turns out to be false WE ARE NOT TO RESPECT HIM ". There are many fallacies in this book of fairytale and plagiarism and some are in direct conflict with the teachings of the Bible. This is why many concider Mormonism a non Christian cult and real Christians know that to support such a candidate would be folly and downright sinful. This is the real problem that Mitt Romney faces. All the "pundits" need to realize this. The Presidency calls for good judgement ,faith, and a strong moral and ethical value system. Many people question the judgement of a candidate that can buy into a new religion that flys in the face of traditional Christianity regardless of its historical,theological, and proven fallacious origins.

He increased the Arkansas tax burden by 47 percent, boosting the levies on gasoline and cigarettes. The Arkansas Leader.com editorialized that Mike Huckabee raised more taxes in 10 years in office than Bill Clinton did in his 12 years.

The National Education Association endorses any candidate who raises taxes and opposes school choice – thus they endorse Mike Huckabee.

Huckabee “broadly repudiates core Republican policies such as free trade, low taxes, the essential legitimacy of America’s corporate entities and the market system allocating wealth and opportunity,” according to George Will.

The Arkansas Ethics Commission held proceedings 20 times on the former governor. Huckabee battled conservatives within his own party who were pushing for stricter state-level immigration measures, such as:.
- proof of legal status when applying for state services that aren’t federally mandated
- proof of citizenship when registering to vote
- Huckabee failed in his effort to make children of illegal immigrants eligible for state-funded scholarships and in-state tuition to Arkansas colleges.

He joined the Democratic chorus in indicting President Bush for his "arrogant bunker mentality." Is he in the right party?

Huck’s use of the “Christian Leader” title and the Cross in his ads and his attempt to denigrate Mitt Romney’s religion is a thinly-veiled attempt to impose a religious test in violation of Article Six of the Constitution
