Is it possible that George Bush's devotion to secrecy and his unyielding devotion to his colleagues stems from the organizations to which he belongs?
The President, we all have heard, is a member of the Yale fraternity Skull and Bones, long a source of angst for the conspiracy folks out there.
Similarly, he is a member of the Freemasons, another secret society that values devotion to each other as well as complete secrecy.
I have never understood how the leader of the free world is allowed to serve two masters. I don't really know, nor care, what each organization is about, but opinions seem to vary from world dominantion to secret oligarchies to enslavement of the worlds peoples.
This aside, I have a problem with a man whose allegiances are not allowed to be probed into or questioned. In my life I have found that groups of people that keep secrets usually either have very nefarious motives which they do not wish to be known, or they are about to throw a party for someone unknowing.
Call me crazy, but I don't think the President is planning a big surprise party for the world.
He's created both an internal and external fear amongst the people with terrorists, decided that torture is back on the table, eliminated every dissenting opinion that had the gall to speak out against him, allowed a rogue army to run through the streets of Iraq [read that Blackwater] that is unanswerable to anyone, as well as creating a gulag-like series of prisions out of the country where our laws do not apply.
Put these things all together, add the destruction of millions, not dozens, not hundreds, not thousands, of e-mails regarding what actually went on and was discussed in his administration, and to me it does not add up to a man that is putting his country and nation first.
Similarly, the gutting of the Constitution, giving himself the ability to determine who is a terrorist and deserves the right of Habeas Corpus again seems more like the beginnings of a despot, not a caring Christian man.
How many of the above actions WOULD Jesus do?
The notion that it is surprising that the idea to destroy the evidence would emanate from the White House is ludicrous. Ity fits right in with his patterns of lying and deception.
Which brings me back to my original point, why id this man allowed to belong to societies that are not allowed to be asked about, whose goals are a secret, and whose histories have been questionable at best.
I am an independent, did not vote for the man, nor will I ever vote for a Republican nor a Democrat. I believe that both parties are the same thing-the root of the problem.
I would encourage those running for public office to forego joining political parties and get by on your wits and ideas....... oh right, that's why we have a dry drunk, ex-coke head, supporter of torture, creator of record national debt in office, they can't.

as a matter of fact, any TRUE republican or conservative OR CHRISTIAN should be outraged by the utterly jawdropping actions of this president and administration (theres little point in enumerating them here. if you dont know what they are, you havent been paying attention for the past six years)

and at this particular point in my life, and in the history of this country, the thing that i absolutely cannot understand is why and how it is possible for people like you to continue to stand by (and defend with your fox-speak) a president who is truly "the worst in american history" and one who has single handedly brought our former democracy to a precipice from which it may not be able to return.

Why do anyone of you fail to see that the destruction of the Financial Capital of the word sent schockwaves thru the Financial communities. Osamma Bin Laden accomplished two thing, one is the financial unrest it gave the wealthy and it knew that this administration would step into the Middle East and use "FEAR" to gripe all that were afraid to oppose this president and his message in fear.

This happened in 1941, but only AMERICANS reacted with pride and guts to defeat three enemies, remember Germany, Itialy, and Japan. Americans pulled together and didn't say spend money to keep our economy afloat, instead they sacrificed everything and bought war bonds to aid our military.

Instead this so-called leader of the free world said "DON'T PANIC, just spend money" so our economy won't slop in to recession or depression in his administration.

Brain it isn't the clowns that were elected to do the people work, it is the people that after Sept.11, 2001 paniced and thought that a leader wrapped in the flag and stands in from of the military will be our salvation and those who can't see that the sacrifice of 3,897 lives for a lie. Rep. R-OH John Boehner said the sacrifice of our troops was a small price to pay for our position in the Middle East. Now that is a real American, that would sacrifice our Citizen Soldiers lives and families just to agressively invade a harmless country just for position.

Would any of our high school take on that chore that Gen. Petreas gave them. Jan. 2, 2007 we had 3,003 military dead and only now the death rate is lowering as to arming the Sunni nation. I cold give a rodent rectum as to who wins or loses over there as our country has sold this Nation into slavery of the Middle Class.
