I really do like and believe in Barack Obama.
These attacks on Barack have really made me disgusted with the Clinonites.
These attacks affect me personaly, they hurt.
They hurt because they are lies, and insult my intelligence.
These attacks assume that I am an idiot. That says a lot about the sense of Royalty the Clintons have, and that they feel above all else that they DESERVE the presidency.
I used to be willing to vote for whoever won the Democratic Nomination, even if my first choice, bBarack Obama, didn't win the nomination.
Not anymore.

(Bill Gates satisfies his yearly Social Security obligations a few minutes past midnight on January 1 every year.) The cap doesn’t have to be lifted all that much to keep Social Security solvent – maybe to $115,00. That’s a progressive solution to the problem. HRC wants to refer Social Security to a commission. That's avoiding the issue, and it's irresponsible: A commission will likely call either for raising the retirement age (that’s what Greenspan’s Social Security commission came up with in the 1980s) or increasing the payroll tax on all Americans. So when HRC charges that Obama’s plan would “raise taxes” and her plan wouldn’t, she’s simply not telling the truth.

I’m equally concerned about her attack on his health care plan. She says his would insure fewer people than hers. I’ve compared the two plans in detail. Both of them are big advances over what we have now. But in my view Obama’s would insure more people, not fewer, than HRC’s. That’s because Obama’s puts more money up front and contains sufficient subsidies to insure everyone who’s likely to need help – including all children and young adults up to 25 years old. Hers requires that everyone insure themselves. Yet we know from experience with mandated auto insurance – and we’re learning from what’s happening in Massachusetts where health insurance is now being mandated – that mandates still leave out a lot of people at the lower end who can’t afford to insure themselves even when they’re required to do so. HRC doesn’t indicate how she’d enforce her mandate, and I can’t find enough money in HRC’s plan to help all those who won’t be able to afford to buy it. I’m also impressed by the up-front investments in information technology in O’s plan, and the reinsurance mechanism for coping with the costs of catastrophic illness. HRC is far less specific on both counts. In short: They’re both advances, but O’s is the better of the two. HRC has no grounds for alleging that O’s would leave out 15 million people.

Yesterday, HRC suggested O lacks courage. "There's a big difference between our courage and our convictions, what we believe and what we're willing to fight for," she told reporters in Iowa, saying Iowa voters will have a choice "between someone who talks the talk, and somebody who's walked the walk." Then asked whether she intended to raise questions about O’s character, she said: "It's beginning to look a lot like that."

I just don’t get it. If there’s anyone in the race whose history shows unique courage and character, it's Barack Obama. Her pollster, Mark Penn, has advised her to take no bold positions and continuously seek the political center, which is exactly what she’s been doing.

All is fair in love, war, and politics. But this series of slurs doesn't serve HRC well. It will turn off voters in Iowa, as in the rest of the country. If she's worried her polls are dropping, this is not the way to build them back up.

I can't believe people are still bringing up D-Punjab memo. That seems desperate. Let's see... over half a year ago the oppo research of Obama released a memo criticizing Clinton's foreign ties without his authorization. Big story? Guess what, her and her husband's ties to foreign interests should be examined more closely and criticized. Just as her ties to lobbyists and corporate interests should be criticized. These are issue related, not personal character attacks. Obama hasn't stooped to her level or even come close to it. Obviously, he has more respect for the Democratic party than the Clinton's do.

People talk about his ego, ridiculous. He believes in himself, you want a president to be self confident. Does Hillary's panic in the past few weeks indicate that she is the strong and confident leader she is pretending to be? The Clinton's don't respect the Democratic party, they think they are the democratic party. They don't respect democratic voters, that's why they pander on issues and sink to the lowest common denominator. They lead and gather endorsements through intimidation.

Let's show them at the ballot box that they are very mistaken.

I keep hearing - er, reading - about how the media gave a pass to Obama regarding these supposed "non-stories" that Clinton would never get away with doing. Since I am a blatant Obamaniac, I admit I don't see the connection.

But, I'd like to turn around this argument for a moment. Let's not forget that a while back some reporters from LA went to New York to investigate some strange campaign donations by immigrant Chinese dishwashers, and found a lot of the information was inaccurate, at best. In my opinion, HER CAMPAIGN WAS CAUGHT BREAKING FEC LAW, BUT NO ONE HAS BOTHERED TO LEGALLY INVESTIGATE THIS! I believe she got a big pass on this, and even those who support her have nothing to say about it.

I understand that no one likes bad news, and the same article can be critiqued at the same time (and I've read the comments) for being biased by both sides.

The take-home lesson is this: let's not get carried away with the whole media bias whining. Both Obama and Clinton have had some easy moments and some obviously biased reporting. But, at least they're TALKING about these candidates. I can't recall the last time I read anything about Gravel or Kuchinich in the MSM, especially something positive...

The second take-home point is this: don't read or support unfair reporting. People DO vote with their web browser, and the less "hits" an article gets, the less credible the author becomes.

The only reason Obama is attacking 527s is because he doesn't have any that support him. He doesn't have ANY national union support or endorsements from large interest groups that would run these types of ads. But I'll bet he would love to have them.

In the meantime, he certainly has no problems with accepting money from lobbyists wives, their networks, or even employing them in his campaign at the same time they work for their firms that are lobbying Congress right now.

Its really hard to take his rhetoric seriously at times.

Josh - you just made his point "interest groups" All he is trying to say here is that there should be more accountability for these interest groups, so people know who's attacking who. There is a reason there is a dollar limit on how much a person can contribute to a campaign. So that wealthy interests can not buy elections. These 527's need some regulation is his point.

Someone made the point that he should have accepted public financing like John Edwards, if he really believes in campaign finance reform. John Edwards accepted it, because he couldn't raise enough money to be competitive on his own. But both Obama and John are leading the way, on trying to bring political power back to the American people. I don't live in Iowa or New Hampshire, but I would be surpised if the dirtiness of 527's isn't ruining their Christmas spirits.

I's a Republican, but this year I will register as a Democrat so I can vote for OBAMA in my state's primary. If OBAMA doesn't win his party's nomination then I will vote for McCain. But the one thing, I'm ABSOLUTELY SURE I will NEVER do is vote for Hillary Clinton. Her husband turned the White House into a sexual and financial whorehouse. I really wish she/he would just go away.
