Romney is the only viable candidate. Some Republicans seem to have McCain amnesia. He's a great senator, but he should stay a senator. And the affable Huckabee is running a sophicated smear compaign on Romney's faith. That's worse than an issue ad any day. Romeny is only called phoney because he has shifted to the right, which is exactly what Huckabee and McCain have also done. Besides, we need someone who can run the economy, and Romney is certainly the most qualified!

Pastor Huckabee has the foreign policy experience to clean up the mess in Pakistan with one swipe of his mighty arm. For example, Pastor Huckabee punctuated a point about hiring John Bolton as his foreign policy advisor yesterday by discharging his shotgun over the reporters' heads. In the ensuing ruckus, he didn't have time to mention that he is also advised by Kofi Annan, Henry Kissinger, and Mikhail Gorbachev. The other thing that has not been mentioned is an explanation of Pastor Huckabee's comment about Pakistanis entering the US illegally. What Pastor Huckabee probably meant was that rather than coming in from Mexico, the Pakistanis could be smuggled in by cargo containers originating from the so-called geographically shared eastern border with Afghanistan. This would make sense because, as Pastor Huckabee mentioned, martial law is being enforced in Pakistan, so that everyone else must remain inside their homes which would allow terrorism suspects to slip into the containers unnoticed for journey to the US. Yes, Pastor Huckabee apologized for the Pakistani affair because he is a true Christian and that is what Christians do. And because he has a theology degree and as he mentioned that most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were clergymen, it carries extra weight with Christians, so he was able to raise $89,000 in the one day 'money bomb' on December 27.

I for one am sick of hearing "why I would not be as bad as him". With all this mudslinging negativity between Romney, McCain and Huckabee why do we not hear more about Ron Paul? Is Paul too decent,courteous and positive to garner media attention? In my opinion Ron Paul has acted more presidential than any candidate, and if we could have Paul and Edwards on the same ticket they could return us to constitutional correctness and return Representative loyalty to the rightful constituents (the people)....WISHFUL THINKING

It is kind of sad to me that you refer to Mike Huckabee as "Pastor Huckabee". He is not my pastor, nor do I want him to be America's Pastor. It disgusts me that he IS religion to persuade voters that they should vote for him because of that. Vote for people that have your same ideals, but don't turn us into a fundamentalist Christian nation that is fighting a crusade holy war.

He beat the Clinton machine in Arkansas 3 times. And he can and will do it again. Romney is telling untruths about Mike! You need to check Mike's web page out. He tells it like it is! THE TRUTH! If posting Huckabees' voting record is viewed as being negative information, maybe the Huckster shouldn't have voted that way. If he is proud of his voting record on immigration and taxes, then the ads are anything but negative. Just comparisons, so people can know where each candidate stands.

Speaking of negativity, Huckabee, (the former Baptist preacher, for any of you who have missed that pandering), makes negative comments about Mormons constantly through innuendo and sly questions, such as the Jesus/Satan thing. Then he pretends (remember, he is a former Baptist Preacher, just in case you didn't figure this out the first time I said it) that he knows little about Mormons and their beliefs. Yes, this is the same Huckabee (the former Baptist Preacher) who went to the Salt Lake City Southern Baptists Convention and preached anti-Mormon garbage there.

Not that religion has anything to do with qualifications for President of the United States, but you would think that Huckabee (you know, . . .The former Baptist Preacher), being all righteous and above all the negativity, would at least let us know what his real qualification are to run the country, balance the budget, end the war, lower taxes, etc.

Hey, lets just all go vote for him because, you know, he is a former Baptist Preacher (Christian and all), just like us!

On C-SPAN tonight covering Iowa town hall events, Gov. Huckabee mentioned the words "Mitt Romney", "dishonest", "desperate" and other personal and deragatory comments about Romney six or seven times. The Gov. from AK never refuted a single fact from Gov. Romney's issue oriented comparison ad. On the other hand, Romney, speaking to a group in an Iowa diner, did not mention Gov. Huckabee even once. Gov. Romney talked about issues and his vision for America. Senator McCain's new ad in N.H. calls Romney a "phony." It's pretty obvious who is doing the juvenile name calling and who is sticking to the issues. Let every intellectually honest voter make the distintion between personal attacks and contrasting records on important issues.

I think Romney has been very straightforward with his ad campaign. He has, for a very long time, talked about his credentials. Now it is time to match his credentials up against the others. Why does everyone think that it's unethical to compare records? It's what I would want to know before I voted for someone. Why should McCain be afraid if what he has supported is what voters don't want? At least Romney has the decency to attack records instead of waging personal attacks on his opponents.

Also, I do believe Huckabee would be in the third tier of "HONEST MEN" running for president, with some 15 ethics violation accusations, 5 of which resulted in sanctions and thousands of dollars in fines against Huckabee?

I wonder why nobody has a comment about Senator Duncan Hunter's statement about Mitt Romney's company (Bain Capital, 3Com), and its tie to communist's China's Huawei Technology and the fact that 3Com, a leading technology firm helps the Department of Defense ward off cyber attacks from hostle forces?
Bain Capital now owns Clear Channel Communications, the company that pulls the strings for elite conservative talking heads, hmmmm.
