I guess the the "loaves and fishes" miracle for Huckabee has suddenly spoiled? If it was a "God thing" does that mean Our Lord is displeased with him and favors Mormonism? I'm confused because that is what the Huckster has been telling me.

Huckabee wasn't re-elected in Arkansas for being a conservative his views and record show a very liberal person regarding criminals, taxes, and illegal immigrants. Lets remember Arkansas is Clinton country.

Romney on the other hand has shown social views that have been liberal, but his record has shown otherwise.

Romney is the only candidate who could truly fix our economy and eliminate our trade deficit with China...one of the biggest threats this country is facing.

Tim Russert went very easy on Pastor Huckabee on Meet the Press today. This proves that Pastor Huckabee is the choice of g-d. Pastor Huckabee has the foreign policy experience to clean up the mess in Pakistan and elsewhere with one swipe of his mighty arm. For example, Pastor Huckabee punctuated a point about having John Bolton as his foreign policy advisor the other day by discharging his shotgun over the reporters' heads, because he's a tough law-and-order man. In the ensuing melee, he didn't have time to mention that he is also advised by Kofi Annan, Henry Kissinger, and Mikhail Gorbachev. The other thing that has not been mentioned is an explanation of Pastor Huckabee's comment about Pakistanis entering the US illegally. What Pastor Huckabee probably meant was that rather than coming in from Mexico, the Pakistanis are smuggled in by cargo containers originating from the so-called geographically shared eastern border with Afghanistan. This would make sense because, as Pastor Huckabee mentioned, martial law is being enforced in Pakistan, so that everyone else must remain inside their homes which would allow terrorism suspects to slip into the containers unnoticed for transport to the US. Yes, Pastor Huckabee apologized for the Pakistani affair, but he did that because he is a true Christian and that is what Christians do. And since he has a theology degree and as he mentioned, most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were clergymen, it carries extra weight with Christians, so he was able to raise $89,000 in the one day 'money bomb' on December 27. Pastor Huckabee also knows that we must protect Israel at all costs for it is in the Bible. He has the power of a multinational corporation, Amway, at his disposal to bring the countries who won't get in line on terrorism to their knees. Oh, how happy everyone will be when Pastor Huckabee is president and puts the Christ back into Christians!

As soon as voters find out Huckabee was pen palls with convicted rapist Wayne Dumond, it's going to be over.

"Dear Wayne. . . . My desire is that you be released from prison," the governor wrote. "I feel now that parole is the best way. . . ."

Dumond then went out and killed and raped two more woman a year after Huckabee set him free.

Two quick points: First, after Huck's appearance on Meet the Press, I have to wonder what happened to his "high road" and commitment to clean politics.

Second, I sincerely hope that this is the end of Huckabee. He is a joke. Huckabee defenders on this thread would do well to understand that telling people to "get the facts straight or shut up" will not win converts over to your cause.

Huck, it's over. Pay your quarter and get off the ride.

People...why are all of you MAD about a group of business owners asking Huckabee to come and talk? It was not an AMWAY event, it was an Iowa business group. Why are so many people so STUPID about what really goes on. The article talked about "controversial" company AMWAY. There is NOTHING WRONG WITH THE COMPANY, they sell products, people buy products, people sell products. If it was MARY KAY that brought Huckabee into talk would it be the "CONTROVERSIAL" makeup company or maybe...let's say PETA brought them in...would it be the controversial group PETA...would that mean that Huckabee doesn't wear fur and is a vegan? NO..it also does not mean he BUYS AMWAY PRODUCTS. I AM REALLY OVER YOU "American people" that get your thought process from DATELINE!

I did the whole Amway/Quixtar thing for a year with my wife. One day I woke up and realized how manipulative it was. They glorify of materialism, greed and conspicuous consumption wrapped in the mantle of Christian ethics and marriage counseling to recruit and motivate. Do you remember Calvin--he taught that evidence of God's favor was to be found by whether or not he made you wealthy. Amway uses modern day Calvinism. Every person they use as an example of a top seller/recruiter takes a picture in front of their mansion with high priced cars and boats in the background. It is the most brazen hijacking of Christian values I have ever witnessed. I would rather donate to a preacher and have him drive a Mercedes that get duped by these multilevel marketers of "freedom." Freedom comes by living God's word. If I had a whip I would overturned these moneychangers tables. The fact that Huckabee associates with such snake oil salesman is not surprising. Huckabee has been classified by Christian commentators as part of the "prosperity preachers" that commanded followers to pay a 10% tithe of all their increase so they could drive a nicer car and live in a bigger house and get a more lucrative TV deal. Please America, don't elect this guy.
