Also, read his speach on "Faith in America" Huckabee is an ordained Minister and he could not have put a speach together like that, I actually cried I was so moved. Huckabee hasn't been able to raise funds all year, and people keep rapping Mitt Romney because he is a self-made multi-millionaire? Mitt RAISED more than all the other Rebuplican candidates. Of course he added some of his own money, because he believes in his campaign. If others will contribute, so will he.

All this whining is just a form of jealousy. Mike Huckabee's true colors are showing and they are not a pretty site. He vaulted his campaign based on his religion, then complained when people called him on it. He played the religion card again in an interview and whined again when he was called. Now he whines because Romney showed others how his record compared with his (nothing personal). Huckabee came out of nowhere and his record was virtually unknown. Being the darling of the media, they weren't going to educate anyone. I think what Romney did was fair.

All Huckabee had to do in return (if he thought it was distorted) was to explain why he did certain things and what the context was, period--done with. Instead, he goes on a several week rant about how Romney outspends him 20 to 1 (I think he brings this up at every meeting) and he is dishonest, and he is mean, and he bloats his resume.

HEY MIKE--JUST ANSWER THE CHARGES, MOVE ON, AND STOP WHINING!!! I considered supporting Huckabee at one point, but he's proven the rumors are true that he is thin-skinned and petty. Definitely not Presidential material.

Romney isn't perfect, but at least he is cordial and doesn't get personal. He sticks to the issues and at least has class.

I studied Mike Huckabee's "Non-releasable Attack Ad" and every issue is taken out of context. And this is what he accused Romney of (actually he basically called him a liar instead of simply clarifying the record).

He's been a highly successful leader in business, and understands the importance of people, organization, research, planning, communication and direction. While Governor of the mostly Democrat Massachusetts, he brought the fractured constituencies together and they became the first state with universal health care that seems to work. He took no salary at all as Governor because he had enough of his own. He lowered MA state “taxes”, though increased “fees” in areas necessary. He increased penalties on drunk driving. Never supported the release of criminals convicted of serious crimes. Never was first to bring up religion. Kept his promise not to attack anyone’s cherished right to choice of lifestyle or abortion. How dare he do his job well and for no pay on top of it! When the Salt Lake City Olympics crumbled under corruption and scandal he went to Salt Lake, took over for a one dollar salary, saved the Olympics and made it profitable. "He led a massive security mobilization at the Olympics in the wake of the 9/11 attack and, as governor, helped build up Massachusetts' homeland security efforts. I can certainly understand left wingers hating Romney, after all he's been married to the same woman and when she got MS he didn't abandon her. He's from a close knit family and values family first. He is concerned about “illegal” immigration and what it means to the security of the United States. Regarding his flip-flopping on big issues? Everyone, and really everyone in politics makes mistakes, gets to change their mind once, and most seem to do it more than once. Stand all of the candidates up next to each other in a direct comparison and then vote for the best person to make good change and run the country in the right direction.

An 'investment firm' goes in and invests to help get a company back on its feet/higher up in the corporate food-chain. 'Buy-out firms,' "if you will"/Romney's newest over-used cliche'/ cripple a company, forcing its stock prices to fall, then buy up the stock until they own controlling interest, just to turn around and sell the company, often to foreign interests, as high as the market allows, creating a hefty profit for themselves at the expense of lost jobs/lost wages for thousands of Americans.

If you buy Romney calling his "buy-out firm" an "investment firm" he has more "Romney-tales" he'll sell you, too. It will only cost you 'America as we know it' for future generations.

Just because Romney can make a buck in the business world does NOT add up to being a leader of government. PLEASE check out Romney's Terrible Record as Massachusetts' governor. If Romney could NOT manage a small state, he sure CAN'T manage 50 states and the MYRIAD urgent PROBLEMS immediately facing the next president.

Nor their parents who received NO notification/were allowed No Parental Choice of consent, for their grade-school children to learn things even the parents probably didn't know, nor want to know, regarding Gay/Lesbian sexual practices. All thanks to funding of programs allowed by Governor Mitt Romney. People don't have to be homophobic to Not want their little children to know what goes on in sexual relationships.

Not those young American Boy Scouts who were barred from volunteering at the Olympics, thanks to Romney, because they don't accept homosexuals. This was the first (only?)time the Boy Scouts of America were banned from volunteering for the Olympics.

Not all those Americans who couldn't find work while 'his' state was the ONLY state to post ZERO GAIN in employed residents, and was 3rd from bottom in creating new jobs (would've been 2nd but LA was wiped out by Katrina--governors usually DO know how to work to bring jobs to their state). 222,000 MORE residents moved OUT of MA during Romney's 4-YR term, than moved into 'his' state, and that was the ONLY thing that kept MA's unemployment rate down for 'his' state, during Romney's '4' years as governor. (Boston Globe, 07/29/07).

I'm confused about something, how is a pro (everything Democrats stand for) going to attack an anti (everything Democrats stand for) so Romney, who might as well have been a Democrat for the last 20 years, finds different ways to critisize Huckabee for finding different ways to critisize Bush. How sad is it when the bible thumping bigot is more intelligent and savvy than a New England practically Democrat?

The main point of this: Huckabee and Romney, alongside Thompson, Guiliani, Paul, and McCain have no shot this year. McCain is the closest, because of his appeal to independants; but the Democrats won't have to worry about him, because Repugs hate him as much as Democrats do.

It's also funny, Jerry and Sierra's disappearance off of this board when all their supporters are gone and every poll out there shows all 3 Democratic contenders winning the white house back.

I'll say this in defense of Romney, him not being a hunter doesn't make him a less good choice than Huckabee. Mitt Romney not being a fully trained animal murderer is possibly the only thing he "stands" for that I, or any intelligent human being, would agree with. Look at Huckabee, if you don't like me or vote for me I'm gonna shoot you, and I've been hunting my whole life not like Romney... I'm not gonna miss.

IF Romney can defend, why not? Instead, he began another round of 'Romney's famous name-calling' to deflect attention from Huckabee's well-stated answers to Romney's charges--as has John McCain, also. Romney is the one who will not answer for America's voters.

Another 'organization' for Romney? Certainly not like those requested by Romney's 'organization' of his 'church' leadership--to round up nation-wide organizational support for Romney's campaign.

In the same YouTube piece, of Hatch defending Romney's campaign contacting LDS Church leadership, in a conversation regarding a certain newspaper, Hatch mentions "THOSE WHO ARE AFRAID OF ROMNEY..." WHY, in 2007-08 should ANY Newspaper be AFRAID of Romney?

This is NOT the 1800s, when LDS leaders ordered the destruction of the printing press and newspaper (Nauvoo Expositor)of a dissenting LDS member who reported on the many women of some of these LDS, and other inner-workings of the POLITICS of the LDS leadership. This has been a 'political' organization from its beginnings.

As history records, LDS is the only 'church' 'organizaion' to raise up its own militias, armies, and secret death squad (the "Danites") against U.S. citizens and troops, more than once--just out of recent memory.

Mitt Romney is a 'High Priest' in the LDS 'priesthood authority' 'organization.'

PARLEY PRATT, of whom Mitt Romney boasts descendance, proclaimed the 'organization' of this 'LDS Priesthood,' of which Mitt Romney is 'High Priest,' HOLDS THE POWER AND RIGHT to GIVE LAWS TO RULERS, NATIONS, AND THE WORLD, TO ESTABLISH CONSTITUTIONS AND KINGDOMS AND APPOINT KINGS, PRESIDENTS, GOVERNORS AND JUDGES ("Key to the Science of Theology," p.66)

Another boasted that 'this organization' THE WORLD CALLS 'MORMONISM' WILL RULE EVERY NATION (eg [LDS]Journal of Discourses,vol.7, p.53).

Most certainly, America's voters should consider the 'POLITICS' of the LDS 'organization.' THEY most certainly do.

Rommey is moving away from being presidential material by attacking others and pointing at their shortcomings and voters see him using this to divert attention from his own shortcomings. This religion thing is bigger than Rommey realizes. His own faith and the mystical background of a fairy tale Jesus who came to America makes one think he is lacking in intelligence. Nice research, but members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints don't reverence the cross. They choose to focus on his resurrection. Just look at their chapels and temples. Tons of pictures of Christ, not one cross in or on any of them in the entire world. The only "cross" would be Huckabee. But members of the church don't riducule people who do reverence the cross.

This directed specifically to "Mick" & "No Cross on the White House" Ignorance is not Bliss! If you're going to preach against a specific church's doctrine you should probably research other resources than simply anti-mormon literature. To read what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints really believes you should look up www.lds.org. It might clear up those misunderstandings you have. What is really unfortunate though, is that people are making attacks on religious beliefs. Sad. You would think that in this day and time that people could believe as they pleased without having people and organizations attacking those beliefs.

People of Huckabee's faith stand outside the LDS Salt Lake Temple, calling the women who are married there "whores". They spit on believers and they have been reported blowing their noses in articles believed sacred by Mormon adherents. They picket and use bullhorns to shout down Mormon beliefs outside of the temple, especially at conference time, which is a worldwide gathering of Mormons. Regardless of one's definition of what constitues a "Christian", I am quite sure the above behavior isn't part of it, or at least shouldn't be. LDS zealously promote Mormon beliefs around the world. Any true believer of their religion should do likewise. But I can't see Christ, any true believer of Christ, or a sincere follower of most any religion denigrating another's beliefs the way some have denigrated the LDS faith. Show by word and deed what's good about your religion rather than using word and deed to tear down another. There is too much of that in this world. The Middle East is an example of such poor religious behavior taken to the extreme. Let's not go in that direction politically or otherwise.

I think that it is really sad to think that someone can spew forth nonsense, as Huckabee has done, as though it was fact, and many chose to believe it. I came to this country mostly for religious freedom and cannot believe this is how we treat a fellow citizen/Christian. Before you form any opinion on the LDS faith, perhaps it would bode people well to actually do some research and see what good things this religion has to offer. Let's see: Mitt Romney has lived a good life, has had no scandals in his life, is an honest family man and doesn't cheat on his wife. Is a good citizen and does good for mankind. Sounds like a cult member if ever there was one. There have been presidents who belong to more "mainstream" religions who have cheated in politics, on their wives, on their taxes, etc, etc, etc. I have a feeling that if Mr. Romney was of such ilk, this would have never even become a matter of question or dispute. How sad that we as a nation have become this petty and calloused. Heaven help us all!

My oh my, after reading all this it makes me ill. The hearts of most of you are so full of hatred and prejudice. Is this main stream USA? If so God HELP America for it needs it badly. I am not afraid to say that I am LDS or Mormon as some of you like to call it. I am also not afraid to say that I know it is the restored Church of Jesus Christ on the earth and the only one and I proclaim it in your ears boldly. Whether you receive it or not, well, you will answer to God himself for that one day and I will leave that between you and Him. Have fun with your contest of opinions.
