I think Edwards is jumping the gun.... he didnt come in second when it comes to delegates and he onlyu won the popular vote but a very small number. Not that im gung ho on Clinton, but if you think she is counted out yet think again. She has her war chest full and you know the clintons, They will probably have ten big name fundraisers this week alone, Bill will be all over new hampshire the next few days...... It was good showing for the DEMOCRATS in general......

He did come in second when it comes to the delegates. That is what the 30% represents. There was no popular vote per se.

I watched a little bit on CSPAN. It was kind of interesting watching people from Obama at one gathering trying to convince people to join their group. Would never work in a lot of places, but then again each state has their own way of doing things.

Congrats to all candidates and workers. Great job in Iowa. If these types of numbers show up in November, the people will have taken back there democracy.

Will the fact that Biden and Dodd are dropping out help:

Clinton?
Edwards?
Obama?

In Iowa there votes went to Edwards and Obama. What do you all think will happen in NH and Why?

I'm from Iowa but do not live there now - can't understand the caucus thing either and do not think it represents much of what voters in the big delegate states will vote. It is an interesting incubator to test issues, however. Guess Dems just hate Bush and do not really care much about any real issues facing each of us that is more than a few months away. I think the USA like the press suffers from ADD.

Obama might pull this off and certainly is better than Clinton but he would be very costly to the true middleclass ($50K - 175K). Romney would do the best job of "managing" the country, John M. or Rudy G. would do more to protect us on a macro scale. Huckabee is just a joke and would provide a change only to poor leadership. Rudy would do better re: Immigration reform.

We have a real void of true leadership potential on either side and need to brace for just surviving the next 4 1/2 years.

Hold on to your wallets folks and now is probably time to take appropriate measures to protect your family. Honest values are out the window it seems. Let us all pay homage to the special interests, radical religious movements and the Spanish traditions of south of the USA. These are who will shape our country in the future not us - the average people who are at the lower end of the hill and you all know what rolls down hill!

--She is wrong. Fmr. Sen. Edwards knows he had to win Iowa, literally. To the contrary, his eyes are set on Clinton calling her the status quo and stating the race is about change. He's trying to make it a two person race between him and Obama, because he knows that if it becomes a two person race between Clinton and Obama, which it will, that he will be left out again.

Fmr. Sen. Edwards v. Sen. Clinton is also promoting the David v. Goliath story. Saying that ideology won out over money. Can I then summize that Sen. B.H. Obama's ideology lead to his major victory.

This is amazing that the Democartic party is now becoming strong again. With the change the Obama is promoting is what this country needs right now. But watch out for the spin that the Clintons will use now. Bill Clinton saying that Hillary is still leading now in NH and that she will not lose there. Trying to sway voters to think that since she is leading that there is no need for people to vote for Obama or Edwards. Watch out for the spin!!!!

Edwards has an uphill battle in front of him, but then again he has the whole way. If he doesn't place a close second in N.H., he's done. If he does, the wheels start to fall off of the Clinton machine and her supporters split between Obama and Edwards. Then it will be a question of who can scoop up the most castoffs. The best candidate in the race is no longer running. As of now, I could care less who gets the nomination. Maybe someone will inspire me before it's all said and done, or maybe I will just wait until it's over and vote for whichever candidate is still standing.

They are out of the race and many of us are disappointed but, of course, assholes like you cannot be gracious winners. Biden and Dodd are good men who have worked to make a difference in their country for the past 30 years without lining their pockets. For that, at the very least, they deserve your silence if not your thanks.

You do an injustice to your candidate and the process with your glibness. I feel content with the person my candidate is and the campaign he ran. I say congratulations and well done to your candidate. I guess that is the difference between a Biden Democrat and a Kool-Aid drinker.
