He voted to allow credit card companies to raise interest rates over 30 percent. I guess she does this out of jealousy so there is no woman more powerful than her on this planet. if she would have some senses into her, she would know how hard it is for a woman to suceed in this country. maybe she forgot how much she had to endure from men to get to where she is now. I see this on daily basis in the corporate world, women get stepped all over and pushed around by the sneaky men who steal their ideas and promote them as theirs. Isn’t this what Obama did? Obama has no experience and he stole Hillary’s ideas and speeches and make them his own, ten he attacked Hillary on public television and made her feel unworthy, just so he can get to the top. isn’t this typical men behaviour in your daily job?? women wake up and stand up for women. I hate to see women siding with men, when they themselves were hurt in the long run by men. what a shame that us women cannot unite together and be more powerful to stand up for oursleves.
Hillary is an excelent candidate, full of experience and wisdom. I hear he speeches and I tell myself that this is one smart woman who knows what she is talking about. Obama has no clue what he is talking about. I hope the democratic party does not make a huge mistake and elect a candidate who has no experience and elects him just because Oprah told you to do so. Who is Oprah anyways??? a talk show host?? please, if she would me smart she would support Hillary and think about the hard times she had before she got to where she is. and people stop watching too much television and think about where this country is going and what would happen if a candidate with no experience comes into power.
Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

Amen Hillary.

Now, why don't you tell us what you've actually done instead of continuing to pitch your empty "experience"?

If it's good advice for others, you might want to take it yourself.

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

Since when talking about policy issues and voting records considered an attack? I understand it because I want change. I want change from the current adminstration.

That said, change is not some abstract concept that can be accomplished through rhetoric. Change occurs through action. What has Obama done that suggests that he is capable of leading this country to change? Not much in the few years before he started to run for president.

There are two things that really bother me about Obama's crediblity: first, he abstained from voting on making the Iranian Guard a terrorist group. This was an important vote about national security, and regardless of his position, he should have let us know where he stands by voting.

Second, in my opinion, his credibility is tarnished by the fact that he promised not to vote for the Patriot's Act, and yet he did.

If he makes promises that he does not keep, how can I know that he will keep this word on issues such as health care or Iraq? If he refuses to vote on the tough issues, how will I know that he will not do the same on issues such as North Korea?

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

Barack Obama talks of change but what change? He talks against interest groups but he has raised $100 million dollar and a good portion of it from interest groups. He is indeed a candidate of change, for changing what he says. He talked about bombarding Islamic positions in Pakistan only to backtrack a few days later. As a constitutional law teacher, he may have remembered that Pakistan is a sovereign country. The world is too dangerous to have another unexperienced President in the White House. He definitely lacks any experience on foreign policy to bring up his 4 years of childhood in Indonesia as an experience. American people do not need a talk show man, they do need an experienced and decisive person in the White House.

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

OBAMA SPONSORED LEGISLATION
http://thinkonthesethings.wordpress.com/2007/11/27/barack-obamas-health-care-record-the-making-of-the-health-care-president/
----
http://www.ilga.gov/senate/SenatorBills.asp?GA=93&MemberID=747

Over 800 bills sponsored in Illinois
http://www.nytimes.com/imagepages/2007/07/29/us/politics/20070730_OBAMA_GRAPHIC.html

http://www.barackobama.com/factcheck/category/

IRAN
http://thinkonthesethings.wordpress.com/2007/10/11/did-obama-skip-the-iran-vote/

Present(100+ out of 4000 votes cast)
http://progressivegovernment.blogspot.com/2007/12/from-anne-and-women-for-obama.html

LEARN & a young woman who still believes that this country will give her the chance to live out her dreams.

Hope is what I heard in the voice of the New Hampshire woman who told me that she hasn't been able to breathe since her nephew left for Iraq; who still goes to bed each night praying for his safe return.

Hope is what led a band of colonists to rise up against an empire; what led the greatest of generations to free a continent and heal a nation; what led young women and young men to sit at lunch counters and brave fire hoses and march through Selma and Montgomery for freedom's cause.

Hope—hope—is what led me here today – with a father from Kenya; a mother from Kansas; and a story that could only happen in the United States of America. Hope is the bedrock of this nation; the belief that our destiny will not be written for us, but by us; by all those men and women who are not content to settle for the world as it is; who have the courage to remake the world as it should be.

That is what we started here in Iowa, and that is the message we can now carry to New Hampshire and beyond; the same message we had when we were up and when we were down; the one that can change this country brick by brick, block by block, calloused hand by calloused hand – that together, ordinary people can do extraordinary things; because we are not a collection of Red States and Blue States, we are the United States of America; and at this moment, in this election, we are ready to believe again. Thank you, Iowa

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

you may not like her but shes smart i believe shes ready to get us out of trouble america need some help after 8 years of foolish im black i beg blacks dont vote for some one because hes blackthey voted for bush because they like to drink a beer with him how about because they can do the job. dont let thenews people pick for america again

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

Sen. That is a desperate act, IMO. John Edwards was rejected in 2004, and his message of "fighting for change" still has not brought any real change for America. It is very interesting that Obama continues to refuse to answer questions at his campaign stops. He just talks. Again, Obama's campaign is playing not to lose. Hillary Clinton's campaign is playing to win.

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

Obama working with others/push lobbyist aside

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XLyQNJsCv0&eurl=http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/1/2/215018/3535

Iowa stump speech--http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1274008643/bclid1358275349/bctid1358294842

Part of comment about Iraq.

''But, I'm not privy to Senate intelligence reports,'' Mr. Obama said. Each contributor can only donate $2300, which all campaigns are held to. Hillary's campaign encourages a practice called bundling, which while not explicitly illegal, is somewhat questionable ethicly. Baraks campaign dollars are from donors such as myself, some amounts as small as $5, but none over $2300 - that is the law.

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

THE REALITY IS SHE WOULDNT HAVE TO BRING THE TROOPS HOME, GENERAL PETRAEUS ALREADY HINTED HE WOULD RETIRE RATHER THAN SERVE UNDER HER AS WOULD OTHERS. Before Obama entered into the race, I was actually considering voting for Hillary, not because I supported her stances(her Iraq War vote and refusal to apologize for it really bugged me), but I felt it might be worth it to see Hannity’s head explode when she became president.
However, once Obama entered the race, I began listening to him more closely, and did quite a lot of reading on his website to understand his positions and policy ideas. I found them refreshing and intelligent, as well as pragmatic.
Before the CNN/Youtube debate a few months ago, I was undecided and went into the debate with an open mind, however after the debate, I started leaning towards Obama.
Then Hillary came out the next day and attacked Obama as “naive and irresponsible” for saying he would be willing to engage with leaders of rogue nations directly. After hearing Hillary’s criticism, I did some research and found her interview with Keith Olbermann from 2006 where she said “as president, one of my first acts would be to talk to Iran directly.”
Ok, then I found the clip of Hillary telling Al Hunt of Bloomberg News in 2006 that “nukes were off the table” regarding Iran, yet she had just criticized Obama for saying the same thing regarding Al qaeda targets inside Pakistan.
Ok, so then Hillary attacks Obama for saying as president, he would act IF Pakistani president Musharraf refused to act on solid intel on Bin Laden and other high-value Al qaeda targets. Hillary says Obama’s words “will destabilize a nuclear power…words matter and presidents should not always say what they think.” I then did some research and found out that Hillary told the Urban Radio Network’s April Ryan on August 2nd 2007 that “if we have actionable intelligence on high-value Al qaeda targets inside Pakistan, I would make sure they were killed or captured.”
Ok….so at this point, my decision to support Obama is solidified, and I start to wonder why those who support Hillary refuse to address her inconsistent positions. Hilary is the best fighter in the trenches but if Obama is elected he will bring enough others into the process that the Dems won't need to fight tooth and nail for basically nothing. That will be true change and meaningful change.

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

Oprah has nothing to do with this - she is just another citizen and her opinion is not what should convince anyone.

I support Obama because of my own discerning or his judgment, vision, graciousness, and leadership, which is not shrill desperation (like Hillary's).

Whatever experience Hillary is purporting is not about home much experience, but about what she has actually done -- where are the results she keeps talking about?

She is the kind politician we need to leave behind, people.
Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

Um...Manuela, you're the first person to mention Oprah. Just because she endorsed Obama? Can you point me to your similar posts on Chuck Norris or Barbara Streisand? And your armchair psychology is just about on par with the hacktastic Dr. Phil. I'm thinking it's time you turn off your TV.

And thanks to First Read for finally putting up some facts even if it's not all the facts.

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

HILLARY IS ANSWERING ALL KINDS OF QUESTIONS! Barack Obama has opened up a 13 percentage point lead over Sen. Hillary now tries to say that is her record too, but that is mostly just her copycat tactic again.

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

Here's some Reality for you: Sleep Well

The new USA Today/Gallup poll has Obama up by 13 points, 41% to Hillary's 28%, with John Edwards at 19%.

The new CNN/WMUR poll has Obama up by 10 points, 39% to Hillary's 27%, with John Edwards at 16%.

The new Strategic Vision poll has Obama up by 9 points, 38% to Hillary's 29%, with John Edwards at 19%.

The new ARG poll has Obama up by 12 points, 38% to Hillary's 26%, with John Edwards at 20%.

The new Rasmussen poll has Obama up by 12 points, 39% to Hillary's 27%, with John Edwards at 18%.
Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

Personally, given the way the debates went last night, I would be OK if any of the four candidates from the democratic party present at the debates became president. That being said, I truly agree with the examination of track records-- not just what people voted for (voting is important, but it isn't CREATING and ENACTING) but what the candidates have actually DONE. As a pediatrician, there is no question for me that Hillary is the candidate that will put children first-- given her track record. She is the reason why at my clinic in inner city Baltimore, we have the ability to vaccinate ALL children -- covered or not covered by insurance. Did you know that there are MANY insurance companies that DO NOT COVER MANDATORY IMMUNIZATIONS for children? Parents must pay. Because of Hillary, those that cannot afford to pay will still be vaccinated. "It takes a village" -- that is the attitude that will CHANGE this country because the children really are the POTENTIAL for CHANGE for our FUTURE. The candidate that puts CHILDREN FIRST does embody change.

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

I am about to blow my lid!! Don't you people get it? Obama is what.....a muslim?! He refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance?! What the heck is with that? He's only been in the senate for a year!!! Are you people awake?! He hasn't got the foggiest clue of how to run a dang country. He's never been there....neither has Edwards. Although he has more experience at least. Be realistic people. Who can go the distance and deal with the truly harsh realities of being President? There truly is only one rational and clear choice. I'm starting to believe that most of you people posting comments have not actually been involved in trying to make a presidential choice before this. Wake up, your country is crumbling and we need someone in there that has experience and is stubborn and is determined to correct the wrongs that we're all upset about. Do any of you actually understand the unbelievable complexities of running a country? Neither do I. And neither does anyone else with one years experience in the senate. Hillary is the only one who's been there.....although she may not have been to actual private meetings with Bill....you don't think that they talked afterwards!! Get a clue, I tell my husband everything...we talk all the time. Don't you think that Bill bounced ideas off of her? If you don't think that Hillary was intimately involved in the goings on in the presidency then you are not being realistic or open minded. Oh, and by the way...you people who have the audacity to claim that anyone who likes Hillary is a Clinton transplant. Get a blankity blank clue!! There are actual people who believe in her and you have no right to say we're implants. Unless you're Obama implants....then go ahead and insult away! You're idiots.
Also, I hate Bush. But he made a super forward stance on Iraq having WMD. People were fed what he wanted them to hear. Not what was actually the case. All of Congress voted based on what he supplied them with. So is it a wonder why senators voted to invade Iraq? They were all mislead. So they voted on what they were told. Lies. Read a few books and you will soon see. If you're not educated enough in the current government and the past....then stay the heck away from the polls. You have no business skewing the presidential process based on lack of correct information. And NO, I am NOT a dang Hillary implant. You people are truly clueless. And worse yet, you are determined to screw up the country further by pushing your lack of education on the matter on the rest of us.

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

wow!! Looks like the inevitable front runner has totally disentigrated!! Proof that if she cannot run an organized campaigne, she defintely cannot run our country!!! Proof that smears and meanness do NOT work!! Also all the different campaign Hill-a-this and Hill-that were not impressive; does this woman even know who she is?? Oh yes, and that likeability tour w/her mom, daughter and friends to show just how likable she is was a disgrace and an insult to all Americans. (Gee, mommy, please come help me show just how much you like me) Also, hey, bill, the polls aren't looking too great for me, PLLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEE HELP RESCUE ME!! PROOF THAT AMERICA IS NOT BUYING THEIR SPINS AND DECEIPT!!

Hillary: time to 'separate rhetoric from reality'

I have to admit Clinton is coming across as shrill as ever. I wish she could tone it down a bit because she has demonstrated that she listens to people and has specific plans.
