It gave true LDS information--allbeit, I think with more references to where they find these LDS truths, it would be more difficult for LDS religious bigots to accuse "Christians," who equal millions around the world, of 'all' being hypocritical. (while at the same time LDS try to claim to 'be' "Christians" by saying it is because the name "Jesus Christ" is in the name of their religion--like saying any Latino son named "Jesus" is the Christchild, or any male named "Christian" is a Christian). This is LDS "religious bigotry" "religious intolerance" and "Un-American."

An example of where I found a reference helpful is where the site explains how polygamy is still current LDS doctrine by providing a link to where voters can find this LDS Doctrine and Covenants #132 for ourselves.

The site republicansagainstromney is written by an active member of LDS in good standing. Stop 'attacking' Christians, please.

There is no logic in your statement, seeing that the site clearly states it is written by a high ranking LDS member in good standing, Not Christians, and even 'true' Christians love LDS, even though we may point out the differences between God and Christ of the Bible, and God and Christ of LDS, whom, btw, the LDS prophet/seer/revelator-president admits the LDS Christ is NOT the Christ of the Bible (eg "Church News," June 20, 1998, and elsewhere). People don't have to hate LDS to share LDS Politics and teachings that provide evidence of a candidate's life-long Politics or his/her untruths.

Sane is showing his own religious bigotry and hatred to falsely accuse the works, clearly stated in the site, of one of his own, as being the hateful, bigoted work of "Chrisitians."

I hope he can refrain from posting such bigotted, intolerand, Un-American lies, bigotry and hatred toward Christians in the future.

McCain's mom, 95, hard-charging

Figures this would be from a Minnesotan: "Why would anyone watch anything done by Fox News. What a total waste of time." by ll Minneapolis Mn

Better to be done by let's see, Wolf Blitzer, on that famous center, neutral, and objective network CNN? Or how 'bout Bill Moyers or David Brancaccio on PBS? Now there's some objectivity for ya!

McCain's mom, 95, hard-charging

Mitt Romney got hot under the collar, raised his voice, flapped his arms in the air (again)--pointed his finger in Huckabee's face and basically said Huckabee lied about the FACT that:

Romney DID discuss how he supports a 'covert' (I think was Huckabee's word), time-table for withdrawing troops from Iraq. I have since the time that my mom took that position when she ran in 1970 as a US Senate candidate. I believe that since Roe v. I believe that abortion is the wrong choice except in cases of incest, rape, and to save the life of the mother. I wish the people of America agreed, and that the laws of our nation could reflect that view. One issue I want to clarify concerns [grammar in context] President Clinton's "don't ask, don't tell, don't pursue" military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation's military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share…"
- Governor Romney letter to Log Cabin Republicans, October 6, 1994 Read the letter here

From the Right:

Lopez: "And what about the 1994 letter to the Log Cabin Republicans where you indicated you would support the Federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) and seemed open to changing the "don't ask, don't tell" policy in the military? Are those your positions today?

Gov. Romney: "No. I don't see the need for new or special legislation. My experience over the past several years as governor has convinced me that ENDA would be an overly broad law that would open a litigation floodgate and unfairly penalize employers at the hands of activist judges...As for military policy and the 'don't ask, don't tell' policy, I trust the counsel of those in uniform who have set these policies over a dozen years ago. You know, that's a topic that's really, I think, very important to the country because marriage is not just about adults. Marriage is about the development and nurturing of kids, and in my view, the development of a child is enhanced by having a mom and dad. And so, I think it's very important that we have a national standard because marriage is a status. You get married in one place and then you move to another, you're still married at least in the eyes of the community and the children and the benefits may not follow you, but ultimately we're going to have one standard of marriage in this country and that standard ought to be one man and one woman."
- MSNBC's "Morning Joe" September 17, 2007

GUN RIGHTS

From the Left:

"He [Romney] is a supporter of the federal assault weapons ban."
- Romney 2002 campaign website

More from the Left:

In his 1994 US Senate run, Romney backed two gun-control measures strongly opposed by the National Rifle Association and other gun-rights groups: the Brady Bill, which imposed a five-day waiting period on gun sales, and a ban on certain assault weapons.

"That's not going to make me the hero of the NRA," Romney told the Boston Herald in 1994.

At another campaign stop that year, he told reporters: "I don't line up with the NRA."
- Boston Globe, January 14, 2007 Read the article

From the Right:

"Americans should have the right to own and possess firearms as guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution," said Governor Romney. "I'm proud to be among the many decent, law-abiding men and women who safely use firearms."
- Governor Romney, News Release, January 12, 2007

WAITING PERIODS FOR GUNS

From the Left:

Regarding the Brady Bill which required waiting periods to buy a handgun, Romney stated, "I don't think [the waiting period] will have a massive effect on crime but I think it will have a positive effect."
- Boston Herald, August 1, 1994

From the Right:

"Romney says he still backs the ban on assault weapons, but he won't say whether he stands by the Brady Bill. And after the gun show tour, his campaign declined to say whether he would still describe himself as a supporter of tough gun laws."
- Boston Globe, January 14, 2007 Read the article

MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE

From the Left:

"The minimum wage is important to our economy and Mitt Romney supports minimum wage increase, at least in line with inflation."
- Romney 2002 campaign website

From the Right:

Governor Mitt Romney yesterday rejected the Legislature's plan to raise the state minimum wage to $8 an hour over two years, angering Democratic lawmakers and advocates who accused him of abandoning a 2002 campaign pledge to significantly boost the pay of low-wage workers.
- Boston Globe, July 22, 2006 Read the article

EDUCATION

During his 1994 campaign for Senate he continually called for the abolishment of the Department of Education.
- Club for Growth's White Paper on Mitt Romney

Governor Romney now supports the No Child Left Behind Act.
- Club for Growth's White Paper on Mitt Romney

IMMIGRATION

From the Left:

In a November 2005 interview with the Boston Globe, Romney described immigration proposals by McCain and others as "quite different" from amnesty, because they required illegal immigrants to register with the government, work for years, pay taxes, not take public benefits, and pay a fine before applying for citizenship.

"That's very different than amnesty, where you literally say, 'OK, everybody here gets to stay,' " Romney said in the interview. "It's saying you could work your way into becoming a legal resident of the country by working here without taking benefits and then applying and then paying a fine."

Romney did not specifically endorse McCain's bill, saying he had not yet formulated a full position on immigration. But he did speak approvingly of efforts by McCain and Bush to solve the nation's immigration crisis, calling them "reasonable proposals."

Romney also said in the interview that it was not "practical or economic for the country" to deport the estimated 12 million immigrants living in the US illegally. "These people contribute in many cases to our economy and to our society," he said. "In some cases, they do not. My own family history shows longevity can be an inherited trait, if one doesn't get cancer from environmental factors (and that could happen to the youngest candidate). Go Mom go! Go McCain!

McCain's longevity is already proven, along with every other Nam-POW still living, simply by the fact they are still with us after such life-crushing torture--in McCain's case, for five years. The man is obviously spry, a quick thinker, in control of his faculties. How many presidents have gone on to live well past McCain's age after leaving office? McCain has dedicated his life, since age 17, to the service of our nation. McCain is a loyal, faithful servant--not a fly-by-night power-monger.

Right now, for a war time president, America needs McCain's 20 years of experience in national security, his experience in international politics, his experience getting things done in DC, his experience in the military--McCain KNOWS the military, he KNOWS the sacrifice every member of the military makes in service to his/her country. He KNOWS what it is like to have a father, grandfather, sons in the military. McCain is man enough to stand for what he believes (a larger military foot-print going into Iraq, Rumsfeld's failures as Defense Secretary, the need for more troops to help stop the daily slaughter of our military, the surge, the need for better VA services, better VA hospitals, the way pharmaceutical corporations are robbing us blind...), and he's brave enough to admit when he could do something better (secure the border first). McCain is right about the need to get with Dems, Indies and Repubs to come up with the best strategy to take care of the illegal immigrant problem. (Whoever is elected, if it is decided to try to send 12 million folks back across our borders, it will take some powerful incentives--then who's going to gut our hogs and bend over in our fields all day and clean the lousy mess most Americans feel obliged to leave behind in the hotel rooms? Americans have grown lazy with the help of immigrants).

McCain is just as able, and more experienced, more qualified, to face the mound of problems waiting on the desk for our next president. Right now, we need experience. Experience in Government. 'Change' is NOT always for the better. So I don't put too much confidence in those pushing 'change' to get elected right now. Also, being experienced does not mean someone will not bring about change. Having a new president, a new cabinet, etc. automatically means changes. McCain has already proven to want to change things for the better, today. And he has the proven experience to get changes accomplished, for the better, today. McCain is able and willing to work with other party members to get things done, today. Right now, America needs a man like McCain, for next president of the USA.

McCain's mom, 95, hard-charging

I find it extremely interesting that in this http://www.youpolls.com/details.asp?pid=1463 that was placed at the beginning of the page showed Romney as the winner of the New Hampshire Debate with over 40% in his favor.

I have to say that IMO I could'nt agree more with it and found it to be extremely accurate with my views on the debate. I was actually a little disturbed at how vehemently the other candidates had gone out of their way to make such personal attacks at Romney and felt their childish remarks showed much more about their petty character as individuals then it did about Romney. They suggested that Romney had made "negative ads" even though the ads showed nothing more then the candidate's past decisions and actions in leadership positions. I found Romney to be correct when he claimed the ads were nothing more then "contrast ads" and believe there was nothing dishornable about them. It's foolish for americans to get so upset about such ads when all they do is clarify the candidates positions on important issues. It gets down to this, it'd be no different then if Huckabee or some other candidate made a ad complementing Romney then stating that he was pro-choice then became pro-life. It's only negative depending on how you look at it. But it's still a fact. I personally plan to vote based on facts, not insults and petty remarks. And as far as I can tell Romney has done the best job possible.

McCain's mom, 95, hard-charging

I can't resist, I have never liked
Fox so no surprise there.
