First of all, just want to let you know that Huckabee is very well educated. I study under a former mentor/professor of Mike Huckabee who is one of the most well-respected, well-educated men I know. What is it about him that makes you feel he is so unintelligent? Also, his proposal for a national fair tax, which I have researched and supported for several years now, would be a benefit to us all. Yes, like the other major overhaul projects the candidates are proposing (health care, Social Security, etc...), there are details to be ironed out, but the flat tax supported by Mike Huckabee would mean that we get to take home all of our hard-earned paychecks. It also would create a system where EVERYONE, the rich, those visiting our country from abroaad, etc... all pay for the goods and services we use. This system would lend itself to MUCH needed domestic reform. What is it about this system that you think is threatening to take more of the tax payers' money?

Conservatives need to realize one thing, social conservatism should never change because ethics, good/bad, right/wrong, never change. However, as our country changes, so should the economy. Economic conservatives should be more open to change like Huckabee and McCain. Rush may compliment someone like Thompson on his conservative record, but this kind of conservatism has nothing new to offer the American people. His economic views are out of date. What we need is someone who will be tough on crime and national security and uphold morality of social issues, but should also be open to new kinds of energy, protecting the environment, and changing the economy.
