I will never vote for Hillary for many reasons- however, I will agree with her on one point. Her political knowledge and experience leaves Obama lacking. I had an impromptu friendly discussion today with a democrat, a republican, an independent and a 'politics unknown' person regarding the presidential elections. (in a waiting room at the tire store of all places!) I was amazed at the passion and frustration each of the discussions participants expressed about our current administration and their opinions regarding the different candidates in both parties. If the room we 5 were in was a 'caucus', the demos would win all 5 votes to 'anybody but a republican' EXCEPT 1 man said he would never vote for Mr. Obama because of his middle name. I asked him what his own middle name was, he said David, so I told him I would never vote for anyone with the middle name of David. He said that I didn't make sense, that I was being irrational, I should not make decisions based on what a person's middle name was. Before I responded, the 'unknown' man said "Here's your sign!!"
It was a hilarious and disheartening discussion all at the same time......Faux News and their fellow travelers have done well to bring suspicion upon Mr. Obama's loyalty and patriotism. For shame!

I will say, typically I lean more towards Republican candidated but I may change my mind this next election. Obama seems to be real with people. He hasnt tried to hide anything. Heck, when asked the famous "have you ever spoked pot and did you inhale" question, his response was "Yeah, isnt that the point?". He seems to be upfront and honest on his beliefs and hasnt really waivered very much like a lot of candidates tend to do. I definitely believe that Obama will get my vote this year.

Not all lobbyist give money to congressmen. There are also 2 types of lobbyists, federal and state lobbyists. Obama's NH co-chair is a state Lobbyist. Essentially, when Hillary made the statement about the Co-chair being a lobbyist, she was trying to get people to think that Obama violated his promise to not accept money from lobbyists or political action commitees (PACS) because they would somehow influence his decision making. This is not so. His co-chair is a state lobbyist. It's very hard to find staff in Washington who are not 'Lobbyists' because of the strict definition. If this lobbyist in the NH campaign was somehow also his health care advisor, then Hillary would have an argument because of course it would be a conflict of interest...but he's not.

I tell ya, if we were to be left with our different choices, what chaotic world would we be leaving in? Some choices are bad and I believe killing unborn babies are one of them. Now, if the mother's life is on the line, they should have the right to decide. You can't just generally say it's about choice. People who kill, steal, and etc., make choices. They just happen to be making the wrong or illegal choices, which in turn have consequences.

You eat up the "hope" parade and Obama's message of change. Here's a few questions for you: what does he stand for? Will he try to socialize America to the extent we already see in Europe? Is he going to fix our inept, inefficient, and inadeuquate public school system which leaves us less competitive with the rest of the world every year? Will he tackle illegal immigration through amnesty or upholding the rule of law? Is he genuine or brought to you by corporate handlers or deep pockets? What is the REAL reason young people gravitate toward him?

If you were HONEST, you would admit you like this guy because he'll end the war. Heaven forbid we actually stand by our commitments. It's interesting that young people (of the pampered me generation) have the time to attend a fluff rally but not the time to defend the right to do so by serving their country. It's a shame you think you can speak for the troops (like my husband) who do serve, when you have never even done anything more selfless than get a chai instead of a latte at the local Starbucks. I wonder what you'd do if you were required to serve your country for 2 years like Germany and Israel currently have their young people do? Would you still fully brush aside the bigger world outside your inward-looking prism?

This country doesn't owe you or any American anything. You do not have a constitutional right to a college education (or a basic one at that), social security or any social entitlement, and health care. These are all "new" things that our founders would have felt superfluous to the general welfare of our country.

We have become a weak, less innovative, less intelligent (both Dems and Republicans), less competitive, less efficient, more selfish, more pampered, and more meaningless country than ever before. What made us great was our ability to come up with new ideas, solve problems, and lead our own lives without Big Brother federal government interference. We are now lost in the past, reaching back to the era of MLK and JFK, for answers, and willing to suspend disbelief in the promise of change because it's wrapped up in phoney cliches and "authenticity."

Obama appeals to the selfish, desperate, vain, arrogant and sheeple among us. Even though I'm a college educated woman, I've met more college-educated people who cannot think for themelves and instead grab onto catchy soundbites, slogans, and promises. We are not Europe, we cannot support a giant nanny, welfare state, nor can we ignore terrorism or heap hate upon our military (like I see from many college-age kids who don't get it) which is the only thing standing between us and possible armageddon.

No, no, just dismiss opposing views as just more messages of fear like you do with Pres. Bush. Keep existing in the vapid, narrow-minded belief of terrorists as our friends, let's give them a hug mentality. Yes, let's build up an even more bloated, social welfare state that makes us more unprepared than we already are. You want to demonize Pres. Bush (who I have problems with) that's all well and good. However, you might also try looking in the mirror at the reason why many of you/us keep voting for do-nothing congressmen and senators.

One more thought for the young voters: even though you might shove the hippie/boomer generation aside to ensure your place in the sun, don't be surprised when 20-30 years from now, the upstart generations that follow you don't try to do the same thing. In your quest to replace the old you might find that it hasn't changed very much. We need actual ideas and plans, not airy, charismatic double talk however appealing and pretty.

Why Mormons Are Not Christian.
and they are a Cult!

First: Mormons do not follow or believe in the historic Jesus Christ of the Bible, but rather in a difference Jesus. This is why most Biblical Christians emphatically insist that Mormons are not Christians. Let me explain.

The god of the Mormons is not the God of the Bible. To the Mormons, Jesus is the firstborn son of an exalted "man" who became the god of this world. The man-god of Mormonism was made the god of this world because of his good works on another planet somewhere out in the universe. He "earned" godhood, and was thus appointed by a counsel of gods in the heavens to his high position as the god of planet Earth. The Mormon god of this world was a man, like all men, who became a god. This is what the celestial marriage and the temple vows are all about. LDS men, by doing their temple work, are striving for exaltation by which they, too, shall one day become gods. Their wives will be the mother goddesses of "their" world and with their husband will produce the population of their world. This is the Mormon doctrine of "eternal progression."

Note the following quote from the Mormon Journal of Discourses, vol. 1, page 123, made by the LDS Apostle Orson Hyde:

"Remember that God, our heavenly Father, was perhaps once a child, a mortal like we ourselves, and rose step by step in the scale of progress, in the school of advancement; has moved forward and overcome, until He has arrived at the point were He is."

Lorenzo Snow, late President of the Mormon church, made this statement in the second verse of his famous poem entitled, "Man's Destiny":

"As Abra'm, Isaac, Jacob, too, babes, then men--to gods they grew. As man now is, our God once was; As now God is, so man may be,-- Which doth unfold man's destiny. . ."

The God of the Bible is not an exalted man. The God of the Bible is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient. The Bible says He is the only God and there are no other Gods. He had no beginning or end and he is a spirit being and never was a man.

Note the clear teaching of the Bible as to who the real God is:

Numbers 23:19, "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"

Psalms 102:26-27, "They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end."

Isaiah 43:10-11, "Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour."

Isaiah 44:6, "Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God."

Isaiah 44:8, "Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any."

Clearly, Mormonism's god is not the God of Christianity who is the God revealed to us in the Bible. The Mormon god is a god formed from the imaginations of Joseph Smith, and in truth is a false, non-existent god or idol.

Second: The Jesus Christ of Mormonism is not the Jesus Christ of the Bible.

The Mormon Jesus is the son of this man-god. The Mormon Jesus is the brother of Lucifer, and according to LDS teaching, he married several of the Marys of the New Testament. Clinton left just as much of a mess for us...such as being unprepared for 9/11 and Al Qaeda. Or will you lay the blame soley at the the Republicans' door? Or will you be truthful and say that both parties have not done their jobs or put the interests of this country first. I'm sorry, but I refuse to rely on the federal government for every little thing. However, a do-nothing senator without much of a track record from Illinois isn't the answer either.

You want change, how about not having a one-sided dialogue with someone of the opposing viewpoint. How about respecting that person's opinion (as many Obama supporters claim he does). I don't think Obama has much to work with to solve the entrenched, divisive culture that is now our country. I think many people who support Obama want to hear pretty nothings rather than actual details. I'm more concerned with the details.

Both parties stink. They don't serve the people anymore. I've voted for both tickets. Will you still call me stupid? When Obama actually holds an honest, intelligent conversation about his plans for this country, I will listen. However, since he has not, he will not be taken seriously except by the blind, carefree, reckless younger generations who are impatient for change and want to step over the rest of us to institute it.

Well, Doug, I guess if I want a strong America free of partisan lies on both sides, an America with traditional values not caught up in the cesspool of permissiveness, laziness, passivity, an America that believes that there is still fairness for all of us (of all political persuasions), that doesn't sign trade deals that only benefit companies (oh, that's right both Clinton and Pres. Bush both did that), a social entitlement system that helps out the poor/needy, not the folks who didn't carefully plan or mismanaged their money or are perpetually on welfare, and an America that protects itself against illegal immigration and has a strong military, then yes, I guess I'm stupid. However, you will find that not all of America is sold on Obama, including many Dems so let the independents have their say. Perhaps, they're entitled but to say that I'm the stupid one and that the Republicans are the sole reason for Washington's ineffectiveness is either partisan or, well, stupid.

Rethink the whole picture, Doug. You don't know it all, neither do I, and neither do Obama supporters. I live in the real world where even Clinton made mistakes (recession at the end of his presidency),as well as Pres. Bush (war, possible recession at the end of his presidency). Politicians lie and make mistakes on both sides. Either admit you're just a hater, be part of the solution, or you and other Dems will continue to repeat the mistakes that caused you to lose elections in the first place.

One more note: if Obama should win the presidency, I will not be shocked, when, gulp, he doesn't deliver like all politicians. I'd rather have a known quantity then someone who refuses to disclose their intentions (not just insipid position papers) for this country. Consumers research products just as voters research candidates. We, as a country, need a real discussion, and not surperficial love fests at 20 minute campaign stops.

Linda, this is a wonderful country in which you are entitled to your opinion, your voice and your vote. Fortunately, this is also a country of laws and most of the country as well as the Supreme Court disagree with you. Thank you for making Obama’s point. This is a great country!

Question:… What if your 14 year old teenage daughter is beaten and raped by her father and becomes pregnant from this? Would you consider the birth of this child a gift of love and Intelligent Design?

Since our country is a democracy, based on the equal rights of all individuals to pursue life, liberty and justice. We are in a dilema. The rights of individuals belonging to a popular group should not supercede the rights of an individual outside of the popular group. As long as all individuals are bound together to a peaceful coexistance in a geographic area. Such as the United States. I applaud the individuals who want abortion addressed in a timely fashion. If you were the one about to be killed in an abortion procedure, you would want the process stopped. As the minutes tick, there are more babies killed. And it confounds me that the Democratic party of the people is so quick to kill their (our own). A president needs to protect all innocent American lives, born or unborn. The issue of an unborn baby as a person has been resolved in favor of the baby being a person, since conception. Come on, we will all be ourselves tomorrow, just one day older. We all knew an unborn baby was a person before it was scientifically proven. If Obama was capable of explaining to the popular forum the need to protect innocent American lives, he would have had my vote. I want a president that when I am past an age of usefullness, will still protect my rights and stand by my side against killers (my fellow American citizens) that might have no use for me to live. For as I see it, the unborn, with all of their potential, have more value to this country, than the rest of us do. Our value lies in our ability to cultivate and nurture them as the next generation of United States Citizens. The motives of most special interest groups are suspect, because they are standing up for their own rights (the "it is all about me culture"). But the pro life groups are standing up for other people's rights (with no benefit to themselves). Logic concludes that they have the greatest possibility of being right because they are "other centered". Please read this and contemplate the following, "MEN GO MAD IN MASSES, YET ONLY COME TO THEIR SENSES ONE BY ONE". The Jewith Holocaust was nothing compared to the slaughter of babies occurring as I type this. The same babies that would undoubtedly care for us in our old age and defend us from foreign invasion. After all, as was so clearly demonstrated that there is safety in numbers. I prefer the big picture and prefer more American babies to add to our census. If you take the time to find what is fueling the pro abortion movement, it is the special interest group planned parenthood. And as I said before, as in most special interst groups, they are putting their own financial interest ahead of the rights of others (mainly babies). They are exploiting America's greatest resource: future Americans. Thank you in advance for the forum.
