With the total upset on the Democrat side last night even the Republican supporters have little to say about McCain's victory...I suppose everyone is still recovering from the shock! I do think that McCain has a strong backing and has a good vision for change like everyone else does. It's funny how just a few days ago, after Huckabee had a victory in Iowa, the majority of the press was saying (paraphrase), "Well, good on him but it's really not a big deal" and pointed to a former Republican candidate who won in Iowa but lost the big election. But McCain wins New Hampshire and while it could seem a surprise, the press seems to be a whole lot kinder..."he's back in the game". Then he'll lose the next state and everyone will say, "Well, we saw that coming..." or something else ridiculous. Can we just get press that does its actual job? LIKE REPORT THE NEWS-WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED-AND LEAVE THEIR OPINIONS OUT OF IT? (Of course, I leave out of "the press" those who do have strictly opinion articles/shows/etc.) But whatever happened to just reporting what happened and not trying to manipulate the people? That might cause us to actually use our brains and vote the way we truly believe is best-rather than be swayed by media.

Last night could not have been a worse night for Ron Paul. Not only did he not reach third, but he came in a point behind the liberal Guiliani. Combine that with a competitive Democratic contest, and even the secret optimist in me can no longer see hope for a Ron Paul Presidency.

If the American people want to stay in Iraq, we need a President who will do what it takes to win. McCain is the only candidate that comes even remotely close. I don't get to vote until February 5. I was planning to vote for Ron Paul, but there is a chance I will be voting for McCain instead. Not only is he the only candidate with the experience and credibility necessary to keep us at war, he is also second behind Ron Paul in fiscal responsibility.

I am a supporter of Dr. Ron Paul... I would hate to watch Fox News the day after he wins a primary. And a note to Rachel Farer from Newark, DE: vote for who you believe is the best candidate. Don't base your decision on the results of these primaries... especially from states that aren't your own. Ron Paul will discuss tough issues with countries that seem to give us problems as opposed to simply implementing sanctions and threatening them. What noble concept... I looked it up and came up with this term: DIPLOMACY. Ron Paul is gaining momentum, and his voters know that he's our only chance to seeing our social security when we retire (I'm 27 yrs old) and our only chance of saving this country from other countries hating us even more than they already do due to our current foreign policy, which currently says: "Give us cheap oil, be nice to the Jews, and do whatever it is you want other than that to your money and your people."
Google Ron Paul, and compare his track record to anyone's... you'll be amazed; he's a candidate that actually tells the truth and does what he says he's gonna do... another interesting concept in politics.

I think the primaries are going the way it's suppose to go, I think it is too early to tell who the front runner is after just one primary. Thompson wasn't listed because he came in dead last at a dismal 1%, far less than next-to-last Ron Paul at 8%.

The media doesn't seem to care about who places 4th, 5th, or 6th, only first through third: You can bet that if Ron Paul had finished last, they wouldn't have reported on him, either.

It's a shame, too: The media seems to keep wanting to crown the winner of each state's primary as "the new frontrunner", when in fact it's a race to capture the most electoral votes. Even though Romney has captured second place in both IA and NH, he's currently in the Republican lead with the most electoral votes, 24.

People shouldn't choose who they're going to vote for based on whoever the media says is leading, because they want to "back a winner": But whoever they best feel will represent their ideas as President.

Regardless of Ron's low number in NH, my vote still goes to him. The American people need to wake up. I do not understand why "Constitutionalist" Ron Paul is not as popular as he should be.
