Hillary Clinton made the statement about MLK, NOT Barack Obama. Why is the spin machine trying to make it seem as if Obama is starting the race rhetoric. Hillary Clinton opened this pandora's box. This is HER problem. Obama didn't even comment initially, and has only said that if Clinton offended some other people, that is unfortunate.

Get Real Johnson. You need to review the facts before you say something like that.

Here's the whole thing:

What we saw this morning is why the American people are tired of Washington politicians and the games they play. But Sen. Clinton made an unfortunate remark, an ill advised remark, about King and Lyndon Johnson. I didn’t make the statement. I haven’t remarked on it, and she I think offended some folks who felt that somehow diminished King’s role in bringing about the Civil Rights Act. She is free to explain that, but the notion that somehow this is our doing is ludicrous.

I have to point out that instead of telling the American people about her positive vision for America, Sen. Clinton spent an hour talking about me and my record in a way that was flat-out wrong. She suggested that I didn’t clearly and unambiguously oppose the war in Iraq when it is absolutely clear and anyone who has followed this knows that I did. I stood up against the war when she was voting for it, at a time when she didn’t read the intelligence reports or give diplomacy a chance. She belittled the most sweeping ethics reform since Watergate despite the fact that she stood on the sidelines during that negotiations on that bill.

I have to say that she started this campaign saying that she wanted to make history and lately she has been spending a lot of time rewriting it. I know that in Washington it is acceptable to say or do anything it takes to get elected, but I really don’t think that is the kind of politics that is good for our party, and I don’t think it is good for our country, and I think that the American people will reject it in this election.

What I want to do is spend talking about how we are going to make sure that people who are losing their jobs get work. How are we going to make sure that our young people are going to afford college? How are we going to make sure that the subprime lending crisis does not lead to an all-out recession? How are we going to create the kind of foreign policy that allows us to bring our troops home and makes us safer and goes after a genuine terrorist threat? Those are the issues that we are going to spend time talking about in this campaign and if Sen. Clinton wants to be distracted by the sorts of political point scoring that was evident today then that is going to be her prerogative.

I have not doubt that the Clintons have been friends to the African American community but I fear that what we are seeing is that they are ultimately more committed to winning and returning to power than anything else. When their advantage with black voters is slipping away it is interesting to see how their behavior shifts. I find it distasteful and frankl disgusting. Bob Johnson huh. This is the same guy who sold BET to Viacom, took his money, and with it watched Bet's programming and reflection of black youth get even worse and go further down the drain. As a African- American I don't have a problem with other African- Americans supporting Clinton, in fact it's nice to know that people aren't voting on race or gender. But I have to say that I'm getting damn tired of older African-Americans supporting Clinton and being the first ones to jump on a live wire to defend them. What this is really about is some of these guys ran to support the Clintons during the summer when she looked liked the nominee and now that things look a little shaky, they are now trying to cover their tales to stay relevent because if Obama wins, the Bob Johnsons, Andrew Youngs, John Lewis, and Al Sharptons(Who thinks he's slick by staying neutral on an endorsement) will be deamed "hasbeens" by the younger black community. Hillary is a grown woman and should be able to defend herself, I mean she is running for President. Isn't she?

First Read, why are you not posting people's thoughts? I wrote in on the Meet the Press thread (Clinton Justifies War Vote...) around 1pm. It was never posted. I wrote in again around 2:30pm - again, never posted. I commented that this is a pattern. I have personally seen this happen on four different occasions in the past week where if there are many ANTI-HILLARY posts on a particular thread, you suddenly STOP POSTING people's comments for hours at a time!! Very, very obvious, and frankly, disturbing. Today you continued to show posts on the McCain thread during the same time that you effectively shut down the Meet the Press thread. I attempted to post twice between 1pm and 2:30pm on that thread - and judging by the number of posts which had appeared during the morning in rapid succession, I doubt if I was the only person trying to post during that window. You have LOST ALL CREDIBILITY with me. It is painfully obvious that the editor of First Read, Chuck Todd, is biased in Hillary's favor. Just listen to him anytime on MSNBC and you can pick it up within minutes. I had hoped he would not carry that pro-Hillary bias onto this public forum. I was wrong. Very unprofessional.

Go back, First Read, and print the posts from earlier today that were sent in to the thread about Meet the Press entitled "Clinton Justifies War Vote..." after 11:50am. Don't use creative editing. This is the brilliant (though deplorable) Clinton strategy:
First, you put out stuff though surrogates that is a little insensitive, but nothing that is not plausibly deniable nor easily fixed with an apology. Examples: shaheen drug dealer, penn cocaine, kerrey madrassa, cuomo shuck and jive, anoymous to guardian "hip black friend, etc" These are poison pills to be introduced into the media echo chamber. This Bob johnson comment is just the latest exxample.
After the poison pill is out there for about a news cycle or so, extend it by making a news cycle about the apology or backtracking or justification.

Make sure you come up with something new every week or two to keep the conversation alive.
The plan is never to be overtly racist, never to have a Keith Richards/Kramer moment, of course. The way to play the race card without looking like playing the race card is to knock off Obama by a "death by a thousand (racial) cuts" as opposed to any full-frontal racial attacks.
Now, the Obama people know that any polarizing discussion of race hurts them, so for the most part they just shut up abaout it, be magnanimous, and try to rise above. And for most the campaign through shaheen and kerrey they turn the other cheek and appeal to our better instincts as Hillary appeals to our bad instincts.
Obama has done that. He has remarkably made this campaign as little about race as possible. So much so that people had forgetten about the fact that he is Black. But when the clintons started falling behind, they had to find ways to remind folks "He's one of those people."
Now while Obama is going to try hard to stay above the fray, it is impossible to expect that every media outlet and black person in the country is not going to eventually get upset with the "death by a thousand cuts" race baiting.
So here is the next brilliant manuver on the part of the Clintons campaign. Once these non-Obama campaign people start complaining a little, hang their grievances around Obama's neck and say or imply that Obama is playing racial politics himself. Central to this is to make a straw man argument with the complicit help of media hacks. Basically ignore the really bad stuff (drug dealer, secular madrassa, hip black friend, etc) and focus on the least offensive (fairy tale) and then knock down the straw man that the Clintons are racists themselves while ignoring the pattern or subtle, death by a thousand cuts, code worded, rovian appeals to racism in the electorate. The media is structuring this story to play into the "blacks getting upset over nothing" mentality. Meida types are going to erect the straw man, knock it down and then accuse Obaam of race baiting when he is the vicitm of it and say that he is doing this to win in SC. This is brilliant "blame the victim" jujuitsu, folks and you saw HIllary doing this very thing today in the NYtimes, in the AP stroy, and on Meet the Press

Noticed that they even got the Assocated press to write a story being sent to low-infomtion, casual voters in local papers thoughout the country putting Al Sharpton and Barack Obama in the same sentence.
Mission accomplished, they must be saying over at Clinton headquarters. After injecting race into the discussion, the Clinton people have just conned the NY Times and Associated Press and used Meet the Press to spread the lie that the LBJ/MLK concerns originated not in the broader black community but rather was some distortion coming from the Obama campaign, something that is demonstrably false.
They're cheering over at Clinton headquarters because the media is dutifully playing into the "Black folks yet again getting riled up over nothing and making whites feel guilty" narrative and muddying the waters by hanging this around the Obama campaigns' neck.
Hillary says "I think" this all came from the Obama campaign.
Please, she knows well that people like Clyborn and Brazille came to opinions on their own on this and that Burton, Axelod, Ploufe, etc did not manufacture their opinions
The goal of the Clinton campaign is simple and brilliant: make the Obama campaign personally responsible for every thing ever said by any Black person in America (while claiming that they are not responsible for the words of their national co-chair/shaheen, pollster/chief strategist/penn, key endorsers Kerrey and Cuomo, or the candidate's husband himself.
This is yet another way the Clintons are brillantly turning Obama, somebody who has gone out of his way to be a post-racial conciliator , as "the aggrieved black candidate." By morphing him into Jesse Jackson in the eyes of voters, just as republicans morphed Max Cleland into the images of Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein in the 2002 midterms, the Clintons are simultaeously playing "death by a thousand cuts" racial politics while tarring Obama as the racially divisive figure.
If this were a crime drama, the story line would be the innocent being framed by the real perpetrators. Oops, I just gave the Clintons their next line of attack, to compare Obama with OJ.
God, the Clintons are really good at manipulating the media. I wonder if Karl Rove is giving them the advice he hinted to in the wall street journal this week? 8 years of HIllary may be the best route to a 2016 Jeb Bush restoration and Karl Rove likely has a vested interest in the propogation of bi-dynastic wedge politics.
And then in the so called "Damage control" Bill Clinton goes on Al Sharpton's radio show. Why did bill Clinton go on Al Sharpton's radio show? It was a tactically brillinat manuver to get Barack Obama and Al Sharption in the same news story and thus subtly linked in the minds of your average, relatively unsophisticated voter who does not take the time to hear Obama's full inclusive speeches, but has just now read an AP article in their local paper mentioning both Sharpton and Obama and she or she is thinking to himself, "When I get behind that curtain, there is no way that I am voting for THAT guy."
Now the Clintons are not dumb, they knew there would be blowback from the black community, but they know that blowback will help them get solidarity with voters they needs and Obama had been making inroads with in Iowa: lower class white democrats. Furthermore, as this contest moves towards Nevada and Feb 5th, the Clintons know that by ginning up a little racial crucible, they are going to help turn out hispanic voters. Look at what one of Clinton's own pollsters said in buried in the last two paragraphs of Ryan Lizza's latest article:
"On the morning after Clinton's victory, I talked to Sergio Bendixen, one of her pollsters, who specializes in the Hispanic vote. In all honesty, the Hispanic vote is extremely important to the Clinton campaign, and the polls have shown and today is not a great day to cite polls that even though she was slipping with women in Iowa and blacks in South Carolina, she was not slipping with Hispanics, he said. The fire wall doesn't apply now, because she is in good shape, but before last night the Hispanic vote was going to be the most important part of her fire wall on February 5th. The implications of that strategy are not necessarily uplifting.
When I asked Bendixen about the source of Clinton's strength in the Hispanic community, he mentioned her support for health care, and Hispanic voters affinity for the Clinton era. It's one group where going back to the past really works, he said. All you need to say in focus groups is Let?s go back to the nineties. But he was also frank about the fact that the Clintons, long beloved in the black community, are now dependent on a less edifying political dynamic: The Hispanic voter and I want to say this very carefully has not shown a lot of willingness or affinity to support black candidates."
So the clinton campaign has admitted on the record that part of their electoral strength going forward is hispanic racism against blacks. The clinton people know the demographic changes in this country are favoring Hispanics and so its ok if Blacks are thrown uder the bus at this stage of their political career.
Just as Bill Clinton was proclaimed the "First Black Preisdent" Hillary "chips and guacamole" Clinton is now going to try to be crowned the "First Hispanic president." Look there is a pattern of reasonably high level surrogaes doing this dirty work, and not just against Obama. Earlier in the year, both Rangel and Vilsack came out to trash Guilliani on his marriages and infidelity right around the time the christian evalngelicans were gathering for some meeting. Of course, the clinton campaign denies that they had anything to do with that either.
How many times does this have to happen for people to realize that this is a pattern, not an isolated accident?
Now that people are starting to get wise to her tactics, she is going to play her "A" game: have black supporters like Ben Johnson put out the poison pills to enhance the plausibly deniable aspect by having the person saying them be black and not white.
If people really believe that these are all "Accidents" or simple "misunderstandings" then you have to accept the proposition that the clinton campaign is not in any control of its high level surrogates. Do we really think this lack of discipline will serve her well in the general or in the white house?
So take your choice, either Hillary is a nixonian race baiter or she is not in control of her own campaign.
Which makes people think she would be the best leader of the free world?

Here we go folks, somebody, has pulled back the curtain on the "Wizard of Oz."

The spin coming out of New Hampshire, was "people behind the curtain" Won't vote for a black man, it didn't get a lot of traction, but, black political pundits, did bring it up. Yup, those little old white ladies, are racists, and of course white pundits not wanting to be out done or perceived, as being naive, slow, unperceptive and behind the curve, entertained the idea too. Oh yeah, "The Jim Crow Car" was back on "tract," and had rolled through New Hampshire. How else could they all be wrong... Well lets see if "they" get this right...

Obama and camp ARE PLAYING THE RACE CARD, and other black political pundits and high ranking politicians, are doing the same. Anything to win. For those who think, there is honor and integrity and this "political gambit" is all about bringing people together... Why did Obama not speak up, and say, lets not let this become an issue of "color," but on the content of "character." He hasn't done that, he "uses" the words "unfortunate comments" this language is used purposely to "fan the flames" of racism and try to reap political benefit, USING MARTIN LUTHER KING to divide not unite.

I have heard the "fairy tale" statements Bill Clinton was taking about as has anyone else who is actually interested in what was "really said." It was in reference to Obama's record on the Iraq War, (only.) These black politicos and pundits and whites who are pro Obama, are outright *lying* to gain a political advantage, using "race" as a political prop.
It's very interesting that those who "cry" the loudest about "race" and "baiting" are the very ones who are using it now... My, oh my, isn't this novel? The Clinton's, just like the little old ladies of New Hampshire, are racists. Look I don't have a problem with calling a "spade a spade" or "heart a heart" but anyone saying or telling you that these "accusations" are the politics of unity is outright lying. This is very divisive stuff, and it is not good for the political process and it is not good for the country.

I don't buy, or never have bought this bringing people together (BS) line for a minute. It's all about winning and what ever it takes to do so... But this race baiting is the ULTIMATE DIVIDER, and those "whites" who can't see this are just plain, stupid.

"Blacks," already know exactly what it is, and what the Obama camp is doing... Blacks in general, are much more politically sophisticated than whites. Blacks are not fooled by eloquent words, pretty bells and whistles, they are very savvy at knowing what's really being said and what's not. I don't believe for a microsecond, that Obama, black politicians and black political pundits, did not understand what Bill Clinton was saying. This intangible, innuendo, nuance, tacitly implied, my interpretation of, (BS) is pure politics. And it is the absolute pinnacle of the politics of division.

I am offended that this election has turned into a mainstream RACE vs. GENDER, White vs. Black contest, this is so unfortunate. I watched the Meet the Press interview and it was Meet the Obama Basher. If Clinton was the nominee I was going to support her. However, it is clear that fate has brought up to a moment whereby Clinton's toughest opponent in her "road to coronation" happened to be an African American and the only way to bring him down as an opponent was to go Racial. Clinton has been completely un-presidential and demeaning to the African American community solely because she sees Obama as a threat. However, he can't respond to her because if he does, he will get swift boated as abandoning Hope, he also can't get tough with her because she'll cry and he will get swift boated for attacking a woman. I'm a registered Democrat, but if Clinton is the nominee and allows her supporters to incite Race when Obama has not made it a central part of his campagin, I am voting for McCain or Huckabee.

As a Democrat who's voted for the Dem candidate in the last 4 presidential elections, I'm about at the point where I've become unable to vote for Hillary. Her tactics are positively repugnant. If the election were right now, I'd vote for McCain over Hillary.

Does she appreciate the effect that her scorched-Earth campaign is having on the electorate? Does she even care? It seems as though, as long as she wins, anything goes.

I can't believe that it's come to this. I've looked forward to a Democratic presidency since before Bush was inaugurated but if the election was today and Hillary was the candidate, I wouldn't vote for her.

A true leader shows conviction about his judgement and sticks to it. But same old wishy washy Washington politicians change their tune like Obama did. He made a judgement (some people call it fluke one time opinion) about Iraq war in 2002.

Then he removed that judgement from his website completely when the war was going well ini 2003.

Then in 2004, he said something for the war by sticking to Kerry. He even sided with Bush once in 2004.

Then he voted for no time tables in 2005 and 2006. In this case, I can agree Obama was thinking for our troops like Clinton and other politicians.

Then in 2007, he changes against war again for election time.

A true leader always knows wrong is wrong and sticks to his or her conviction. But Obama flip flops.

Hillary Clinton will never decry the remarks made by Bob Johnson because she more than likely approved of his comments but knew if she had bought this issue up she would definitely be percieved as racist. So she decided to let a Black Man tear another Black man down. Attack Obama on the issues not on past youthful indiscretions. People backed Bill Clinton when he faced tough questions and public scrutiny on hispast infidelities, especially Monica Lewinsky and they forgave him so why does Obama's drug experimentation as a young man become such an issue that he is to percieved as not being worthy enough to be President. Take a look a President George Bush. He is reformed alcoholic and America did not held this against him so why do people like Johnson want to make an issue of Obama's past? (CBS) When Barack Obama arrived on Chicago's South Side, he was on a mission to help. The fires of the once-vibrant steel industry had already died, there were 326,000 people unemployed, and nearly 70 percent of public school children were living below the poverty line.

"It was a lot of poverty there, but a lot of pride," says Loretta Augustine, a community activist.

Chicago was in the midst of a political firestorm. Harold Washington, the city's first black mayor, had taken the reins and racial tensions were running high, CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric reports.

It was at a church, in 1984, where Obama came to work as a community organizer for a faith-based group called the Developing Communities Project. He worked in Altgeld Gardens, a racially segregated housing project on Chicago's far South Side. In a city where political power means everything, the people of Altgeld were invisible.

"To a great extent, we were powerless," Augustine says.

Obama's challenge was to empower the impoverished residents of Altgeld Gardens and turn them into political players. But older members of the group were skeptical of the 23-year-old Columbia University graduate.

"How was this kid gonna be any help to them?" says Gerry Kellman, who hired Obama.

But over time, Obama earned their trust and figured out how to make those voices heard.

"What Barack had to do was instill confidence in those folks," Kellman says.

Then there was a crucial meeting: A representative from the mayor's office tried to take over — and suddenly the South Side activist rose up.

"From the back of the room came Barack's voice, and he says, 'We want to hear from Loretta. Let Loretta talk,'" Augustine recalls. "And in that instant, he changed the meeting and focused right back on our agenda."

Today, still surrounded by 53 toxic waste dumps, Altgeld Gardens is often called "the toxic donut." In 1967, Augustine's 6-year-old daughter died of leukemia — which she's convinced was caused by toxic waste. Yet no one was listening to the people in the neighborhood.

"We found out there was a secret meeting in South Chicago on this issue and we had been excluded," she says.

Obama and 300 community members marched to that secret meeting.

"You cannot leave the community out of the process. It was so powerful," Augustine says.

Most people stayed in that job for four months. Obama continued to fight for four years, cutting his teeth on community activism. — the first measure of his leadership skills that are now being tested on a much larger stage.

"Barack came here very idealistic, and he left much more practical," Kellman says.

"He left, but he didn't leave us," adds Augustine. "We claim him."

Many analysts say that Bill Clinton's criticism of Sister Souljah 16 years ago was key into getting Bill into the White House. The Clinton team figured "if it worked once it can work again." This time however its backfiring, and the more they try to spin their way out they dig themselves deeper in the hole they've dug. The choice of Bob Johnson to diss Obama shows how much the Clinton machine is out of touch with Black America. Johnson is one of the most unpopular African Americans for his "I don't care about Black people or Black culture if it doesn't line my pockets" attitude toward running, and then selling BET. Clinton might as well had Condoleezza or Ward Connerly endorse her, both are about as popular with average Black people as Bob "sell out" Johnson. It's also amazing that the Clintons are attempting to blame Obama for fueling the controversy when they made the statements and it has been Obama supporters, not the campaign, who have criticized the Clinton's remarks.

Thank goodness that Tim Novak, Chris Fusco, and Art Golab with the Chicago Sun Times, ABC News, and John Kass and Jeff Coen with the Chicago Tribune do care about facts!

Obama, took donations from currently indicted Rezko while Rezko's low-income housing empire , which was largely financed by taxpayers left African-American families in buildings plagued with problems -- including no heat, squatters and drug dealers. More than half of these buildings went into foreclosure, which will cost taxpayers tens of millions of dollars.

Rezko, was charged last fall with demanding kickbacks on state business deals under Gov. Blagojevich.

Obama paid $300,000 less than the asking price for a South side mansion deal, which wasn't to be sold as separate lots, while Rezko's wife paid the doctor full price for the vacant lot next door. After paying for the care of the Rezko lot for over a year, right before Rezko was indicted -- Obama bought part of the lot from Rezko's wife, so that he could put up a fence and pretend that they were separated.

But wait there's more! Obama was an attorney with a small Chicago law firm -- Davis Miner Barnhill & Galland -- that helped Rezmar get more than $43 million in government funding to rehab 15 of their 30 apartment buildings for the poor.

Due to the utter neglect of Rezko's corporation Rezmar this nightmare unfolded:

• Seventeen buildings -- many beset with code violations, including a lack of heat -- ended up in foreclosure.

• Six buildings are currently boarded up.

• Hundreds of the apartments are vacant, in need of major repairs.

• Taxpayers have been stuck with millions in unpaid loans.

• At least a dozen times, the city of Chicago sued Rezmar for failure to heat buildings.

Example: At the Englewood apartment building at 7000 S. Sangamon the tenants were without heat for five weeks from Dec. 27, 1996, until at least Feb. 3, 1997, when the city of Chicago sued to turn the heat on. The case was settled later that month with a $100 fine and it was during that time that the area's new state senator, Barack Hussein Obama, got a $1,000 campaign donation from Rezmar. The date: Jan. 14, 1997.

Obama spent the next eight years serving special interests in the Illinois Senate and continued to work for the Davis law firm. Through its partnerships, Rezmar, Rezko's corporation, remained a client of the firm, according to ethics statements Obama filed while a state senator.

According to biographical information Obama submitted to the Sun-Times in 1998 he specialized "in civil rights litigation, real estate financing, acquisition, construction and/or redevelopment of low-and moderate income housing''.

Meanwhile, Obama describes his work as saintly helping Churches or Mom & Pop types helping the poor -not himself in his B.S. laden books.

Obama's legal work on Rezko's deals won't make him a saint either, which he finally acknowledged according to an e-mail his presidential campaign staff sent the Sun-Times on Feb. 16, in response to earlier inquiries.

Over the years, Rezko, a Syrian national, and his business partner Mahru, their wives and businesses have given more than $50,000 to Obama's campaign funds, records show. And Rezko has helped raise millions more.

Rezko was among the people Obama appointed to serve on his U.S. Senate campaign finance committee, the Sun-Times reported in 2003. The committee raised more than $14 million, according to Federal Election Commission records, helping send Obama to Washington in 2004.

As a U.S. senator, Obama grew closer to Rezko, eventually soliciting Rezko's wife to help him buy his mansion and the lot next door.

For a long time people in America have said that Bill Clinton was the first Black president. If you look at Bill Clinton or at least when I look at him I see a White man. Bill Clinton wasn't the first Black President, Bill Clinton WAS THE FIRST WHITE PRESIDENT THAT CARED ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!!! I said that to say this. Hillary just made a big mistake by allowing this man Bob Johnson to say what he said at her rally. I think that she feels just because he is Black he has the right to say what he said. This is the same type of OLD, TIRED, WASHINGTON politics that we have been seeing since 2001.All she is doing is further dividing this country, I expect this from Republicans, this is what they do. So when Barack indicates to the country WE NEED A CHANGE YOU ALL NOW KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT... IF Mrs Hillary Clinton can't control rich contributors that give to her campaign HOW IS SHE GOING TO RUN THIS COUNTRY?????

Bob Johnson’s creation of BET is absolutely nothing to be proud of.
In fact I would say that he has contributed to the negative stereotypes portrayed on television in regards to Afro Americans….

BET has been a sick disease slowly killing our young for too long and this smiling and grinning man is the cause of it… New Era Bobby… you mean nothing to our community.

I am sad that the Clintons have tried to race bait Obama in an effort to cause division between blacks and whites, this is a cruel and dirty trick that I am sure the American people will not stand for…especially the educated and the young.
What other reason could she possibly have in bringing Dr King into this… other than to cause some form of racial tension…

In the past my family were big fans of the Clintons …after this weekend I must admit the hatred for them could not be stronger

As a Mohawk Native American, I do not believe that the Clinton remarks were racially motivated. I believe that this is issue is politically ochestrated by the Obama camp, to gain as much votes as possiable before South Carolina election.
This is what I call dirty politics by O'bama.
The African American people are a smart, and loyal people, and show support people who support them.The Clintons have always been good to the African American community.The people behind this attack are liberally swiftboating thier efforts, for votes and should be identified, just as much as the Republican effort was attacked. Do not be fooled by all this retoric and false premise all for personal political gains.Maybe the dirt resinating from this non issue, leads directly to the doors of Chris Matthews and Tim Russert, O'Bama lovers.

I was going to vote for Hillary but I have changed my mind. The reason why I'am changing my vote is that i do not like her politic's. And I am sick & tired of being sick & tired. When a person of color seeks a national office it always about his/her race and if America is ready for an African American to become President of the United States. Why not. The other ones who where not sun kissed have not done such great job either. Everybody deserves to serve regardless of there color/race. And i am not particular happy about the comments she made about MLK in the civil rights era. This again is a sad time in America where a woman of a lighter hue is afraid of a blackman. I just finished watching part of Obamas speech at a church in Las Vegas which was mostly a colored audience. His first sentence referred to MLK.
Who is bringing up the race issue.
Give blame where it is due. Mr Obama is also a racist to use MLK to further his own interest.
Please, No More.
I witnessed all the strife of the 60's and do not want this issue resurrected to further anyone's political campaing.

I was deeply repulsed by the Clintons' strategy of using a rich Black man to attempt to tear down Senator Obama. Great strategy " Team Billary"! That's just what this country needs. Every Black Man is a DRUG DEALER and a womanizer... Oops sounds familar Uncle Bob and Cousin Bill?

Now, Uncle Bob has so many major business interests with his RLJ Companies (Hotels, Real Estate Development, Media, Banking, etc. headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland). He has exploited his "Blackness" to partner with White businessmen to create BET and road blocked other African Americans from creating competing Black TV networks.

Yeah, he's a billionare. But he does not get a free pass.

Let's hit Uncle Bob where it will hurt the most. In his "FAT" wallet. I recommending a national buycott of BET and all of RLJ's businesses. Just like the historical "Bus Buycott". Cancel your BET and remove your money from his Banks and Do NOT stay at any of his hotels (checkout his google for the locations) or just avoid all Marriott Hotels.

So I suppose you didn't like what I had to say..Anyway, I hope you sent them to the Clintons and believe you probably did because they immediately tried to cool of things after they realized that they would also need the black vote if Hillary becomes the party nominee.. I along with many friends who were once supporters of Hillary, will not vote for her even if she gets the party nomination. I sill say that the Clintons think they own black folks as if we are their slaves.

I am totally outraged that Bob Johnson even thinks that we, African American, would be supportive of the Clinton campaign simply because HE endorses H. Clinton. Listen, white America, most African Americans think B. Johnson is a dispicable and dirty joke. He sold us to "massa" long ago and we haven't forgotten (Bob Johnson sells BET to MTV Productions).

Johnson, has made a fortune, furnishing AND facilitating the low self esteems of young black girls all over the world. Its funny that, he asks us not to vote based on gender and race, well he has voted for the exploitation of BLACK WOMEN(a gender and race, that means much to many) for the last 25 years.
