It is so diappointing the people can get into that deep to get the votes. Race is a big issue and why this issue is brought up when election in south carolina and navanda is going on. I am a democrate and obama fan but i will blame obama campaign for doing for bringing this up. Democrate should only focus on their main country issues rather than race and gender. Obama will loose because if race card is played and white vote will cut drastically.

This is sleazy politics on Clinton's part. Obama made it clear that he would have voted against the war if he'd had the chance. By the time he got to the Senate, he had no choice but to vote to support the troops. He has made attempts every year since to stop the war in Iraq (by imposing withdrawal timelines) with no success.

Clinton, on the other hand, was there at the time and could easily have voted against either the war at the outset or the funding for it early on, before we were truly stuck there. She didn't, and now she's trying to cover her own keister by attacking Obama.

And that's not even mentioning the disgusting racial politics. I don't care what the news media says, this is entirely Clinton. Obama finally commented on it AFTER she started blaming the whole thing on him. And Johnson's comments are nothing short of SwiftBoating--especially since Clinton was THERE and made no effort to denounce or decry what he said.

If there are any Clinton supporters left that still have functioning brains in their heads, please explain to me why you still support this sleazebag, because I'm fully ready to vote for McCain (maybe even Romney) over her. This is less an attempted insult and more of question as to how you can consider Clinton a better presidential candidate than Obama--and if you don't know anything about Obama's record, I suggest you read up before you answer.

it's amazing how politician's are able to play the american people into believing crazy stories. Obama had nothing to do with HIllary's remarks and how they affected other people. Hillary simply said it took a President to get the civil rights bill passed, and that it was a beginning towards the realization of Dr King's dream.
There's nothing wrong with that statement at all.
It's unfortunate Mr. Obama doesn't think he can win on the issues, and feels that he needs to play the race card.
As for his record on the war in Iraq; if he opposed the war this long, then why did he vote to continue funding it, right up until last year? As I understand it, he also said he believed Husein had WMD, in spite of his oppostion back in '02.'
Either way, Obama had the luxuary of not being in the Senate when the vote to authorize the use of force was taken in 2002, and the luxuary of not representing the people who were attacked on 911.
Hillary has the burden and the responsibilty of both. She made a vote which she felt was in the best interests of the people who elected her, and she doesn't owe anybody an apology for that.
Presidents have to make decisions and stand by them, right or wrong. At least she didn't vote "present" like Obama does everytime a controversial issue comes up.

His plan of 1 to 2 brigades a month will take a little over a year but a force will stay back to protect the embassy and to train Iraqi fighters. Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be Completely voluntary,

2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program,

3.) That the money the participants elected to put Into the Program would be deductible from Their income for tax purposes each year,

4.) That the money the participants put into the Independent "Trust Fund" rather than into the
General operating fund, and therefore, would Only be used to fund the Social Security
Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and,

5.) That the annuity payments to the reti rees Would never be taxed as income.

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are Now receiving a Social Security check every month -- And then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of The money we paid to the Federal government to "put Away" -- you may be interested in the following:

For those of us who are paying attention, we know that Obama has never used race as a weapon, nor has he made any comments about the things that Mrs. Clinton says. I'd like to gag Sharpton as much as anyone else but in lieu of that impossibility, just keep in mind-Obama is not the one making the issue. He is keeping it a clean campaign and not even attacking Hillary. She is getting frustrated because her former 'in the pocket' constituency (the AfricanAm vote) is threatened so she blames Obama for the stuff she and Bill said. Its just another aspect of this whole race thing that I for one am tired of (as are many Americans). Get past it and run a clean campaign Mrs. Clinton.

Yesterday on MTP, Senator clinton spent more time twisting Senator Obama's record yesterday than she did talking about her own. Anybody not blinded by loyalty to one campaign or the other would see that whenever Tim asked her about her own record, she quickly jumped to slamming Senator Obama's.

Having a woman President would be a HUGE step forward for America; it's a step that's long overdue. Having this woman as President will lead to at least 4 more years of bitter division and the continued splitting of our country. That's hardly a legacy for the first woman President to leave. And yet, tigers don't change their stripes. What we're seeing now is precisely what we will get.

Why is it that the reporters never report on the negative things that are said about Clinton by the Obama supporters? Have you ever read any of their posts or attended one of their rallies...where Senator Clinton is essentially demonized and called a witch and Senator Obama does nothing to stop that and it is encouraged with all these young people. What kind of uniting is that?

And why is nothing reported and made of the fact that Senator Clinton is the first woman to ever win a major party primary? We hear a lot about Senator Obama being the first African American but I did not see any headlines for Senator Clinton's historic win in NH for that first female win...instead I saw comments here by Chuck Todd and segments by Chris Matthews and Keith O suggesting racism.

There is a cynical and sad story line that is being pushed by the MSM and people are noticing...you are not fooling us...

We will be watching how MSNBC hosts the debate tomorrow to see how fairly Senator Clinton is treated...

All cable stations rely on commentators that spin the issues until the correct facts are uncovered or they have the correct facts and choose to use fragments of them to sensationlize issues for their own personal gain or pleasure. Shameful. Tim Russett is the worst of the bunh, I use to find Meet the Press interesting and now it appears to be a personal witch hunt for the Clintons as Mr Russett continues his personal attacks.

Once again it seems to be more of the media spinning the race story by promoting only partial statements and using (intentionally by many in the media) them out of context for the sole purpose of stirring the pot and creating a story. Chris Matthews along with a number of other talking heads have been doing this since NH. They appear to be intentionally trying to create stories out of nothing for the purpose of ratings or influencing the outcome, and unfortunately they may be succeeding because many of the uninformed public live off of newsbytes and never get the whole story. Bob Johnson's comments about Obama were outrageous. He and Hillary are the ones insulting people's intelligence. He makes an obvious reference to drug use in his remarks and then later says he was talking about Obama's community organzing? That doesn't even make sense.

Yes, thanks to the Clinton's and their underhanded, dirty tricks mentality there might very well be damage done to the Democratic party this year. A fair fight is one thing and let people choose for themselves, but the Clintons have no intention of fighting fair. I'm sure they haven't even scratched the surface of the lies and manipulations they are willing to employ to defeat Obama. I personally don't think the Republicans are half as vicious as Hillary. If he survives her, he can survive anything.

Clinton got teary eyed in Iowa because not only did she come in second place - she came in third place. That had to have been a big blow to her ego. So the tears were not sincere. Especially since she thinks she has an entitlement to being the president. Also, I feel she was very disrespectful on Meet the Press to Tim Russert. He sat there and very attentively listened to her but when he tried to get a word in she talked over him. When people talk over you that means they don't want to hear what you have to say and it also means they are lying. Clinton may have the experience (and she should - she's 100 years older than Obama) but she doesn't have good judgement. And we all know Bill Clinton lied when he said he didn't have sexual relations when he was using the Whitehouse as a Whorehouse.

Hilary Clinton won New Hampshire by deploying crockodile tears. She won her New York senate election by projecting herself as a victim of husband’s sexual indiscretions. Bill Clinton could not run for president in 1988 due to bimbo eruptions. Hilary took care of it by digging up dirts on women her husband sexually abused. At the height of Hilary Clinton’s sleaze, she claimed that right-wing conspiracy was attempting to bring down her husband’s presidency. Here again, Hilary is attempting to win nomination through race baiting. Let us review Hilary’s current antics.

Obama’s campaign’s mantra is about hope. Hilary counters that Obama is raising false hope. Obama responded that JFK used hope to put men in the moon and King used hope to bring about change in civil right. Hilary’s contention is that Obama is a talker and not a doer. To amplify her point, she went to Fox News to offer analogy.

Hilary posits that without LBJ who signed civil right into law as president, King’s dream would have come to naught. Many Black leaders started taking exception to her rewriting of history that intends to diminish the role played by King, Hilary is now saying that Obama is distorting her words.

Hilary’s game plan is simple. She wants to make this a race issue so that even if Obama were to win SC, his win will be tainted by race and alienate white voters in Feb. 5 primaries. Obama’s game plan all along is to win Iowa and put paid to the fear in African American communities if whites are ready to vote for him in the general election. So who is playing race card in reverse? It is Hilary Clinton.

This election is way too important to be clouded by either race or gender. Hillary Clinton had the chance to put a damper on the race aspect by repudiating Bob Johnson's slanderous remarks when he introduced her. She failed to do so. It seems to me that it was the news media {msnbc, cnn fox etc} who injected both the race and gender card into this campaign. When Hilliary won N.H. the report was, is it the woman vote or the Bradley effect as to why she won. They completely diminished the fact that she did win, period. The spin was all about women giving her sympathy votes or people being ashamed to actually vote for the black candidate. Chris Matthew's upset Jay Severene in Massachusetts so bad that Jay lambasted Chris for calling people of Boston racists. That day talk radio was on fire with words I would rather not repeat. Bottom line, the media needs to knock off the spin, twist and misconstruing of every word that is ever uttered out of these peoples mouths. Lets get back to the issues so we can elect a president that can begin to turn this country around.

Firstly, I will like to address comments people like Bob Johnson and Charles Rangel made this week. Black community looks at two of you as old fools and has no conscience. Young Obama has run his campaign with tremendous success and has broken the racial barriers in us. Those who are attacking him are doing so because of jealousy. Obama is smart, competent, tremendous speaker and admirable senator. For Johnson to deny his speech means he is a coward and a controlled personality. Obama has impress millions of Americans young or old in this present political Diaspora. For Bill and Hillary we are not horses you can ride when you want or how you want to. I know for sure 50% or more of blacks will rather stay at home or vote for Republican candidate than to vote for you in this coming election---sorry. Enough is enough. To date, Barack has ran the more efficient campaign of all the candidates; he's had the least number of people to leave or be fired, or embarrass him by making derogatory attacks against other candidates. He has a "cabinet" of people around him who are with him; they can position him to win this thing but HE has set the tone, the pace, and the direction for the kind of campaign HE wants and so far, because they believe in him, they are delivering for him.

That's what the Clinton's really dislike. Barack was supposed to be a joke against Hillary. He is not supposed to possess the experience to put a cohesive "cabinet" together; he's not supposed to possess the experience to put a nation-wide grassroots campaign together; he's not supposed to possess the experience to hold himself and his family together during times of insults and the "mud slinging" typical only to well-seasoned politicians. He was not supposed to possess the experience to put caucuses together well enough to go against and beat them in any caucus or primary race.

Well hello to Barack's experience.

Experience certainly has it's value in a persons ability to lead and make sound judgments but it has nothing to do with how much "time-in" a person has or needs. (If they were the case, how do we explain George dubya?).

Hillary has experience to know how to fight with the Republicans if she would become president. I believe thats one of the main things we are trying to change with this election. In the name of our great country let's do this. Elect Barack and let's get past a country stalled.

I find it extremely entertaining to read individuals writing about HIlary's "dirty politics". ALL politics are dirty, just as all politicians are dirty. Yes, even Obama. It isn't about who seems to be "cleaner", it is about who will help our country the most. Neither are perfect, neither fight fair, both will play the race/sex card, but at least Hilary seems to be putting forth some coherent ideas about how to better our crippled country. Obama is simply telling us what he thinks we want to hear; most of his fantastical theories could never be substantiated. AND, Hilary did not make Martin Luther King seem "smallish", she was simply stating a fact.

So... maybe we all should stop analyzing their tactics and start analyzing their proposals; the race for the Presidency is not a popularity contest, it is not about what politicians have done in their past (like Hilary 'supporting' the war- that was back in '02, after 9/11 practically everyone supported the 'war'; the point should be that she does not support it NOW), it is about who will make the best decisions for our country.
