I don't know if its because he really is lazy, or because his campaign just isn't very good at getting their candidate some coverage. But it certainly gives an impression of a non-campaign by a guy who still isn't sure he wants to bother.

Fred takes his shots, defends campaign

Fred who? Oh, the guy who said in the debate before NH that it was okay for Oil Companies to get billions in tax breaks because he knows how many lawsuits they have to defend, Fred Thompson. Oh, that guy. Republicans are just so far out of touch with reality. That's why Democrats will win regardless of who our candidate is. Provided Obama fand vote for any other Democratic nominee other than Obama. From what I'm seeing on these post, I'm not sure that's the case.

Fred takes his shots, defends campaign

Fred Thompson reminds me of a Corporate President we
once had whose personality was perceived as lazy and
crazy. Yeah, crazy as a Fox. The old man was one smart SOB! He was a analytical and deligation genius.
He may have appeared to be lost in la la land sitting
there in that big chair in his office, but he knew
everything going on in the corporation. He hired
smart people, listened to them and authorized them to
act. The company made more money than God. All the
employees were well taken care of and never minded the
hours of work it took to achieve the goals. It was
never about him, it was always about the company and
employees that made it work. We need that kind of man as President. Fred's that kind of man.

Fred takes his shots, defends campaign

"“I haven’t changed positions,” Thompson told about 125 people packed into the Seneca Family Restaurant in the northwest socially conservative reaches of the state. "

He doesn't even shift his weight, does he?

Fred takes his shots, defends campaign

There are many voters willing to vote for the first Republican that breaks completely away from Dubya just by mentioning what a disgusting president he has been. In other words: be an honest politician (oxymoron); evaluate the past 7 years as if Dubya was a Democrat and really let him have it,(as you most assurdly would). None of these Bozos are going to be elected by replicating Dubya's mistakes.

Fred takes his shots, defends campaign

He just doesn't have a message that most folks are listening to. We've already seen the GOP's failure to institute limited government-he has nothing new to say. There seems to be no overriding reason for him to run. He looks old and tired, more so than McCain, who at 71, at least projects vigor and mental sharpness. Fred just seems like another Southern good 'ol boy, spouting states' rights and more tax cuts for the wealthy.

Also, I can't picture Jeri Thompson or Judith Giuliani as First Lady.

Fred takes his shots, defends campaign

It's hard for me to support Fred over Huckabee. The main reason is that Huckabee's stance on bestiality is clear, and I think Fred has flip flopped on the issue. Bestiality has become a major issue in America, and neither Rudy nor Fred nor McCain has come out against it. Huckabee is the ONLY anti-bestiality candidate and he deserves your vote.
Fred takes his shots, defends campaign

Fred Thompson's campaign consists of lying about the other candidates.
