Obamas statement according to your post and what were his words:

How was Bill wrong in criticizing the remark? Sorry many of us don't agree that the republicans was a party of ideas since 1992 and if you go back 15 years that is basically the date, nor do we believe they were challenging "conventional wisdom". So though MSNBC you have a motive in supporting Obama, and it is in your best interest in trying to frame the debate around your version of what Bill said, but I heard him and there is nothing in his statements on obama that are not factual, you may not like his tone, that is your problem.

Yah, Damon played for the Kansas City Royals from 1995 to 2000, and then the A's in 2001. I don't see quite how that qualifies him to comment on what Giuliani did to the city during his tenure. I moved to NYC in 1993, and the idea that Giuliani "made New York closer" is only true if you mean he united the city against him - his approval ratings right before 9/11 were lower than Bush's are now - around 20%! Also loved how, right after 9/11, he tried to extend his mayoralty, and we all said, NO WAY! That's unity!

That said, I would like to see him take on the role of Lion King - I'd like to see what he could do with that:
